  1. Woohoo! BBTS officially charged me for my Chogokin Voltron! Unfortunately he's going to have to sit until Figuarts Mikey and MakeToys Downbeat/Jazz release, then that big ol box of goodies will finally be on its way.
  2. Confirmed, US release Figuarts Strange just comes with a dumb recolor of the Tamashii Flame Effect. Good god that was scaring me. Decent US price I guess. I feel I really didn't miss out at NY, paid US $74 for him shipped EMS. BBTS just seems to have the price up for the Import version, which is odd, they're not going to sell the US and Import versions are they? They've never done that, and once again, that'd make zero sense. http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=BAN17455&mode=retail
  3. Yeah do you have confirmation on this? If that's all it is I can breath a sigh of relief, I could really care less about an alternate colored flame effect.
  4. I've always considered most Zelda games semi open world, like Dark Siders, or Shadow of Mordor. GTA, Saints, Row, Assassins Creed, Far Cry, those are truly open world. Breath of the Wild appears more open world than any previous Zelda title, for better or worse. I'll reiterate that they could pull it off, it's just most open world games now days have a hard time filling in their world with interesting things, they pad it with artificial time killing stuff. I mean we'll know in about two months how well this new open world will open up, I'm just extremely skeptical. I love AC and Far Cry too, played every single one, but that doesn't change the fact that they are filled with a ton of lazy missions and quests, with tons of padded and repeated content and activities. The grind and repetitive nature works for those games, it's expected, but I'm worried Breath of the Wild will simply be that with a Zelda skin. If it is I'll be massively disappointed, that's not at all what I want in a new Zelda, but once again, I'm hoping Nintendo will do something more here.
  5. Yeah I guess technically that one and Wind Waker to an extent were open world, but not like this. This new Zelda appears to be going for the current Ubisoft open world formula, it's huge with tons of things on the map to do, but will any of it be fun? Will it get boring and grindy doing to the same thing I've done in 20 other regions all over again? Time will tell. There's no doubt more love and care will be put into this then, say, a Far Cry or another Assassins Creed, but still, the trend of moving everything towards open world worries me.
  6. It looks good! But not that good, I'm honestly worried how it will turn out. So many franchises now are going open world, because apparently that's the bees knees now days, but I just have this fear that it will be a big world filled with lots of boring busy work. I loved FFXV, but that game turned out the same way, FF was never open world, then it is, and it's a big open world, but it's pretty empty and mostly just filled with places to do fetch quests and other boring grindy stuff.
  7. Still looks pretty interesting but I'm in zero rush for one. I only played a handful of things on my Wii-U, Xeno, Bayonetta, Pikmin. The $300 launch price is absurd, you can get a PS4 or X1 for $50 less, and Nintendo eventually charging for online is idiotic, they've never had a solid online infrastructure let alone one that could rival Sony or Microsoft, and yet you want to charge for it? Zelda at launch just isn't enough for me, the new Mario looks cool, except those areas in the "real" world, they should've cut that bit, it looked awful.
  8. MakeToys Downbeat instructional/transformation video. That looks phenomenal, so clean, not too complicated, but it still looks fun. It appears the back end wasn't mis-transformed, and it does have that ugly split look in the rear below the bumper. Oh well, not even close to a deal breaker for me, this is MP Jazz, zero doubts. Once again I'll give Takara's a fair look when they announce it, but I'm not expecting much, I don't think they're handling the MP line as well as third party is at this point, their blatant change in aesthetics is odd, and now I'm just waiting for them to start releasing + versions of previous MPs slowly un-Hasui-ing the MP line, gross.
  9. No US pre-orders yet, and no word on the US Bluefin exclusive accessory. If the exclusive is the whip I'm going to lose my crap, it better be something crappy and inconsequential.
  10. What do you mean by two plaques? Do you mean the blue base thing that holds all of the weapons? All I read was that the US Bluefin versions would come with an extra Voltron sleeve over the main box because this guy's obviously more recognizable in the West as Voltron instead of Golion, maybe I'm confused about what you are referring to. Either way I want mine, he's coming in with the newly re-issued MP Soundwave Asia release with all of the cassettes in one box, I can't wait to get those guys in!
  11. Well crap, now I'm reading Bluefin will distribute Figuarts Strange in the US, with an exclusive accessory no less. This is only the second Marvel Figuarts to come to the US, and naturally it's the one I just got done paying off two minutes ago, and it will come with an extra accessory, damnit Bandai.
  12. It's standard Marvel fair, fairly ho hum plot, under developed villain, but it has a fantastic cast and the effects and action scenes are amazing. I'd recommend it. Figuarts Strange is officially up for PO. https://www.nippon-yasan.com/19775-shfiguarts-doctor-strange-limited-edition.html Got my order in, now the waiting game.
  13. Got a ton of goodies in the last couple of days, an HLJ private warehouse shipment and another big box of love from amiami. I already got Badcube Speedbump, I assumed he would be my MP Trailbreaker, but MMC/Ocular Max Terraegis is awesome! I've seen some have issues with him, but my copy is mint and I think he looks phenomenal, I doubt an official Takara version could sway me, but I will give them a fair look when they announce their version. MonsterArts Godzilla is a bit disappointing, his paint is fairly meh, and he's got a loose leg, so loose he has a hard time holding up the weight of his 30lbs. tail. I've been aching to get my hands on the new Doom by Fantasy Flight games, I had the original version in college but sold it like a dipshit and pretty much immediately regretted it. New game is amazing, plays fast, it's fun, playing as Demon or Marine is a blast, highly recommended if you're looking for a great quickie tabletop game with beautiful mini figures. Figuarts are always nice, I even got Obi-Wan with a new hat! Missed out on D-Arts Charizard, very glad I didn't have to pay $250+ for one. I've got 7 Figuarts Hall of Armors on order, so I'm in need of some 1/12 or 6" Iron Man armors, plenty of suggestions from others in this thread are probably going to lead to many of my new armor acquisitions. I'm dying for my Chogokin Voltron, I'm waiting on BBTS to get the US Bluefin stock in. I'm baffled there's people having issues with it not being "toon accurate" enough. Apparently Bandai should have figured out a way to hide the red and green lion legs in bot mode to appease literally everyone. What they made works for me, looks gorgeous, and I can't remember a single transforming, combining Voltron/Golion that was able to hide the green and red legs in combined bot mode.
  14. Looks like Figuarts Doctor Strange is going up soon, web exclusive though, so he'll be easy enough to grab. http://p-bandai.jp/item/item-1000110849/
  15. I'd chalk up the slightly off voice to him not having his breathing condition quite yet, years of that and I'm sure his voice would get much hazier and more rough.
  16. I'm pretty sure we got a hint of his breathing condition at the end of the second episode from Saturday. I remember reading a Rogue One companion book or something that said Saw's breathing condition came from being exposed to some kind of toxin or gas on Geonosis. I believe I remember Saw breathing pretty rough at the end of the second episode, I'm pretty sure the circular poison canisters that the Empire used to wipe out the Geonosians was what he caught a whiff of. As for legs and other injuries? We may see sometime in the future if he makes another appearance on Rebels, and if not, he gets into enough crazy stuff that I can imagine several ways he will end up getting further injuries. What I really liked about this two parter was how they had zero problem showing Saw as an honestly very unstable, and probably not really trust worthy solider in the Rebellion. I mean, taking a baby queen hostage at gun point? That's pretty crazy. So is his constant push, push, push attitude. Saw seems effective when necessary, but the guy also seems like a giant hazard/issue waiting to happen.
  17. Damnit Mafex... The sculpt looks good, so does the paint at a glance, but man, that's a lot of issues for a $200+ figure. Scratched up paint, loose arms, that's unfortunately pretty standard these days for Mafex, I thought they would've stepped their game up for such an expensive release but I guess not.
  18. http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=BAN17110&mode=retail https://www.nippon-yasan.com/figures/18045-soul-of-chogokin-gx-71-beast-king-golion.html This is probably the cheapest you'll find. BBTS price is the US retail price for the US Bluefin distributed version, NY is a marked up price for the Bandai Japan version. Same exact toy and contents, but the US version will come with an extra Voltron sleeve over the main box.

Yeah I got a little chuckle out of the people worrying about the pre-order for these guys. They're Destroids, there was no way they were going to sell out and have to cut off first night pre-orders. If Max's 1J was still readily available for pre-order the day after, there was zero reason to worry about Destroids.
  20. You throw away your boxes for high-end figures? What if you move? Or have to store the figure? I finally got my 10 day notice from BBTS for my Chogokin Voltron. I liked the HLJ price more, but when they were sending out payment requests I was broke, same figure for the US release, plus an extra Voltron sleave works for me, I'm a Voltron fan not Golion anyway.
  21. My god this guy looks absurdly gorgeous! This is the MP Jazz I've been waiting on! And there's a chance I'll get him in hand before my birthday, oh boy! That is perfection, don't even bother Takara!
  22. Despotron? What about Mightron! That's my current MP Megs, and he fits the bill very well. Despotron did the legs better, but there were too many other things that made me go meh with him. Takara Megs 2.0 looks like an expensive, far too toon accurate mess. He's not even silver, I mean I get that he was grey in the carton and that's the new direction, but it just doesn't look like a premium color or paint job for such an absurd asking price. I'm waiting for Takara's inevitable reveal of Hoist and Trailbreaker. I want to see how they pull off the transformation, but I have zero reason to believe the aesthetics they will go with will be anything I will want to add to my collection.

Yeah I wasn't expecting any kind of pre-order madness for these, got 3 at amiami without issue, they're Destroids, I picture them still being up for pre-order at most places tomorrow too. And with that I'm out, zero interest in nasty Delta stuff :).
  24. Lol I was playing on the host's inability to see things that may hurt and/or confuse them.
