  1. Yeh, I'm in. Will need to re-watch the 1st one though just to remember everything.
  2. That chess set is badass!!!!
  3. I saw it Sunday with the wife. Honestly, I screwed up and got 3D tickets which I freakin hate (so does she) and my ears were stopped up from a cold I've been fighting, BUT, I still enjoyed it. Thumbs up for me. It's entertaining, it has some heart, some laughs, some good moments between old and new cast and wraps up the Skywalker saga with a nice bow tied on it. Some say it's better than than the two previous ones and I would have to agree. Some say it's better than ROTJ, I might agree with that as well. Honestly for me it's kinda up there with ROTS. It's really not a bad SW movie if you shut your brain off and just enjoy it for what it is. JJ took the flaming pile of s*it he was left with and did the best he could with what he had, and I think he brought it in for a pretty good landing all things considered. I have spoken. Next Trilogy please. NO Skywalker. Cameo from Ray maybe, ok, cool, whatevs, but NEW STORY. This is the way.
  4. Wow! Looks fantastic! Great job!
  5. I'm still in for a couple just to try them out. The eye sensor needs some detail though. Looks to plain.
  6. Well.....the wife FORGOT about my Voltron in the back closet, so I didn't get to open it up on Christmas Day..soooo yeh..whatever with that. Should have opened it when I freakin got it over a month ago...MOVING ON... I finally got around to unboxing this guy yesterday and had a few hours to savor the experience. 1st impressions... IF when growing up like I did and you had the Matchbox version (still do), your 1st thought is OMG..these vehicles are TINY. However you quickly get over that initial shock when you start looking closely at the absolutely beautiful paint job and see all the detail work on each individual vehicle. Mine is perfect minus the wheels on my yellow truck foot don't lock in quite as securely as the black truck foot. It's a minor annoyance and doesn't effect anything in the long run. It is HEAVY when you get Voltron all combined. Articulation is good if a bit trickier due to the sheer amount of parts that have to work together to accomplish the robot. Bandai did cheap out on a few things, the screw holes on the blue leg vehicles for example and the fact that their are no closing panels for the back of the hand cars, just a giant hole. Minor annoyances really. Overall though, it's very, very good. As others as stated in a lot of video reviews I've watched, this one is not quite to the "epic cool" level of toy (if you want to call it a toy) as the GoLion version, but if Vehicle Voltron is your jam, than this is definitely the crème de le crème of that figure. More pics to come later when I have time to get him beside his big brother from the 80's and GoLion SOC.
  7. Epic doesn't quite cover it!!!!
  8. @sqidd I just have to get my vote in for the Transform Element Prime if you can find him around $115. He blew me away with the engineering for the transformation process and how "toon accurate" he looks while still having good articulation. Not every one's cup of tea, and a lot of people do like the Magic Square more, but for me, its TE-01 for my one and only Prime. Well..I do have original MP-10 which nowadays is kinda whatever, BUT you can slap the MP-10 trailer right onto TE-01. Good luck with whichever you go with, they are both great Primes! Merry Christmas! EDIT - I did buy in on the 2nd round which came with the optional head which looks WAY better. I also added the cell shaded window decals from a guy on the TF2005 forums.
  9. wow! great job! Welcome to MW!
  10. Robotech merchandise got expensive quick!!!
  11. I will say that I LOVE the Bandai tampo overload on the DX VF-1 and the SSP's. I didn't get an SSP set yet, but as one of the guys who spent countless hours trimming and putting on teeny weeny little "NO STEP" stickers on all my Yamatoes...NOPE..don't miss that one bit! That being said, they are all still on and flat last time I took a few out to rearrange the display cabinet. I wasn't a fan of the tampo Bandai did for the YF-19 though. Too much oddball stuff that wasn't there in the anime for me. Same with their upcoming 21, but I still want one regardless.
  12. No argument on that point. The Bandai DX is very reasonably priced at MSRP. I was actually surprised by how cheap it was when it's price was first known. NOT that anyone usually gets them at that price in the 2.4 seconds they are available. . I never remember stressing out in the Yamato days , oh wait, that's because I didn't.. But Yamato's long term financial plan was not very good apparently, so here we are!
  13. Why do you say that? You should be able to watch it anywhere you have a decent internet connection and a subscription to CBS All Access. Yes, we ALL can agree that we would prefer it were on Netflix or Amazon, but sadly, that's how things are going now. Before it's all said and done we'll be paying for every show we want to watch.
  14. I really wanted to LOVE Neca Alien stuff, bought the Queen and 2 others and while the Queen was and still is great, the other two had frozen joints that snapped out of the box. After that I was done with them! Which is a shame, because they do look great.
  15. I'm just gonna say this...Compare the old Yamato 1:48 AT IT'S TIME OF RELEASE to a similar time frame Bandai release.....nuff said. Yamato was waaaay ahead of the game on the 1:48 and 1:60ver 2's. For the DX line, Bandai took an already great idea and updated it slightly with new materials and engineering methods in some areas, then in other areas it takes a step back IMHO.
  16. Soooo...running film backwards is supposed be mindbending??? He's a dead time traveling secret agent??? He has future Neo Vision??? I'm so confused....
  17. I AM SO ALL ABOUT THIS!!!!
  18. That looks terrible IMHO . I own the original Wey Jung? release which is basically an oversized MP-10 and that's the best $99 (with shipping!) I've maybe ever spent. It's great!
  19. that's exactly what I was thinking! He must REALLY trust his clear coats!
