  1. If you did not see the "Birdmen" from that show you owe it to yourself to look again, 5 seconds ought to do it. I mean, speaking of trash... As for Lost in Space, it gave us one of my favorite MST3K lines "This is like cheap versions of the Lost in Space sets"
  2. They are still making ride to movie movies? I may have to revise my stance a bit, have any of those things made money after the Haunted House one?
  3. The first Alice movie made much bucks... I seriously doubt we will see a third one however.
  4. I gotta admit those writing credits have me a little bit worried. It is a Lost in Space remake though, how much worse than The Great Vegetable Rebellion can it get?
  5. They remake successful things, Tron is not in that category. When the other films don't do well some guy at Disney will get a chance, till then they have a full slate of the other items you mentioned that are doing well.
  6. Looks like Lost in Space is actually going to happen. I can binge watch all ten episodes when they are done too. http://www.cnet.com/news/netflix-picks-up-reboot-of-1960s-tv-show-lost-in-space/
  7. > If I had to choose between them, it's a no-brainer. If your choice was another Tron you would be kicked off the board. Movie companies like Disney do not care about Art or Craft or anything of the sort, they care about profit and so far Star Wars has profit written all over it while Tron does not. Money (even for Disney) is limited and release dates are a perishable commodity not to be squandered.
  8. No - they have one which was an under-performer and the very wisely decided to not waste any more money on it. If the Star Wars spinoffs do poorly than perhaps Tron may get another shot but if you are a studio head and had the choice between Greenlighting another Tron movie or another Star Wars movie which one would you choose? And be honest.
  9. In the first movie Superman let everyone know he could see through walls when he was in the interrogation room and looked right through the two way mirror. Plenty of people in there to blab it out to the press (even if Lois might not have to begin with)
  10. Perhaps VINCent could show up in Star Wars though!
  11. > and of course The Hound I have a feeling she is going to end up letting him live, and with that break the cycle she would be in, or she kills him and goes off the deep end. (I'm going with live at the moment)
  12. And with Disney now owning Star Wars I think the chances of it dropped even further (can a chance drop below zero?)
  13. > After whatever happens to breach the wall ( and I suspect it will have to be catastrophic to the Wall The thing about the wall, it ends at the ocean, and oceans freeze... (or is there something about the wall continuing over the ocean I've forgotten)
  14. Just saw it today - good (if stupid) fun up till the end, I tell ya, those aliens are practically brain dead. How did they manage to take over the Galaxy with an IQ of about -10?
  15. Excellent episode, only problem being the already mentioned time warp. But that is far preferable to the plodding pace the books have been going. It will be interesting to see how they handle some of this - most likely taking MANY MANY more pages to get to roughly the same place the show just did. Yes it is the best show on TV, or course that can easily be construed as an insult. Despite a couple of logic problems this is one show I will miss when it finishes, last one I can say that about was Battlestar Galactica.
  16. In the original show she did get a refit, new guns, radar, etc.. So that is a good idea.
  17. The thing is, for most fan productions the mere threat of legal action will be enough to stop them since they do not have the money (or financial incentive) to fight. It is not like a lone writer writing some fan fiction and posting it to the internet, it takes some time and money to produce videos.
  18. Axanar is just one example. There are other examples of delayed IP protection enforcement that have worked. It could also be that the defend it or lose it part is only in reference to Trademarks. If you let a trademark become a common name for something it will get lost.
  19. That is how it is supposed to work, protect it or lose it but realistically I don't think it really is the case anymore. Take this business with Paramount/CBS and Star Trek. They have let the fandom make these productions for YEARS now - and Paramount/CBS most certainly knew about them and did nothing till now. With all of that they can still come out now and in effect say "we changed our mind".
  20. The only real question is why they let the ST fan productions get to the point they did - no company wants to let something go so far out of their control. As for letting fans continue and taking profits from said films, two words "legal nightmare". If someone gets hurt on such a production - or starts a lawsuit, or uses it as a pretext to say Paramount (or whoever) is trying to get around the professional actors union, etc...
  21. That pretty much kills ALL the Trek Fandom productions. I think I can hear the wailing already,
  22. Propaganda does not usually use the term "Scotch Taped" to heap praise on something.
  23. I wonder if the show just dropped Dorne as a the sideshow it was/is. I'm guessing not but with only 13 episodes I doubt they will spend much time on it.
