    I saw a commercial for this finally, is Chris Pratt playing the Yul Brenner role? If so he just did not pull it off (from the commercial that I saw). On my list to see when it gets to video.

    Latest Dr. Who season handled the old question about what came first pretty well. First rule of time travel is not to look too closely - it will always turn out badly.

    After catching 5 minutes or so of the first teaser thingy for this I have no interest in it. Totally messed up the character in that time. I'll keep checking posts to see if it gets anywhere near the original in terms of characterization.

    I loved it from start to finish. Personally I think they showed just enough each episode. Knowing the "Monster" before the end is ok since there was more interesting things going on to find out at the end. I was more interested in the character bits and the twists that were done with the standard formula for a show of this type.

    Takes me a while to get round to watching some things. Binge watched the first four episodes and now it is too late to watch the rest - got my plans for tomorrow set!

    Premiere has been pushed back to May, not surprised as it does not appear that they even have a cast yet.

    She is only in her early forties and with regular exercise looking young is not that difficult till the wrinkles start.

    Interesting that the term Star Blazers is on that preview. Otherwise it is all Japanese - is this an American version somehow or are they really sticking that on the originals somewhere?

    Very good movie. To anyone that says that movies are ruined by CGI I will tell them to watch this movie.

    I've never seen Tusk (or heard of it that I remember). That said I don't need to have seen/heard of it in order to avoid that film up there...

    I have the feeling this is going to bomb out very badly. I'll watch it when it gets to netflix or Amazon, not before.

    If it has a Klingon captain than the show has totally gone of the rails. There was not a chance in heck of a Klingon being the captain of a Federation starship at this time.

    He did a great job in "I Robot" and I thought I remembered hearing his voice in something else but can't be bothered to look on IMDB to find out...

    I remember the Klingon BOP in Star Trek 3 and don't worry about such things as ship scale any longer.

    Isn't there another thread on this? At any rate the trailer has me interested. I was worried about it when I first saw the Tick's costume and the actor does a good job - though I still miss Patrick Warburton. The old live action show was too cheaply done but the cast nailed it, especially Patrick.

    Yeah, the ONLY way that thing is 91 pounds is if it was wrapped around a bar of lead.

    My guess is they mixed up the decimal point and it is 9.1 pounds. Have to be made of metal to be 91 pounds.

    Did they show the engine room of the new ship after the credits? I left before that (can wait for on demand to find out). It would be nice to have a more Trek like engine room for the new ship. Then again we may never know with the Box Office for the film being what it is.

    Justice League Dark? How much darker than the "regular" justice league universe do they want to get?

    I call it simply a missile - our distinctions really have no meaning in SW anyway - what makes an AA missile and AA missile in our world is that it homes in on a heat signature and is not made to penetrate much armor. Those distinctions are somewhat meaningless in SW.

    There is the Batman from the forties, but it is best left forgotten.
