I've got a yearly pass and go when it is "not" busy - still plenty busy. The week before you WILL have people there just to see if there is a soft opening. Two weeks before is safer but this being Star Wars even that may not be far enough out.

To poke holes in TOS. How the HECK would Kirk not know that Sarek is Spock's father? Every captain in every fleet ever finds out EVERYTHING in the files about his first officer and Spock's dad being an Ambassador would be front and center.

I also tend to just think of it as an alternate timeline but don't really care either way.

Well, that is the kind of thing that people would tend to know who that character was and who they are related to - even if not by blood.

Just watched this on Netflix and although it was decent I'm glad I didn't see it in the theater. As others noted it didn't have the emotional punch that the first one did. In some ways it felt more like it was checking off boxes on the "comments on modern life" checklist. Granted - the first one did that as well but it did it better.

My wife bought the first season on Youtube(*) and we have been watching it intermittently for a couple months. While not as blasphemous as others here make it out to be it is also not much watch TV either - hence the intermittent watching. (*) - NOT going to sign up for another streaming service but buying a particular title is another matter.

The last reviewers I really paid attention to were Siskel and Ebert. Even if I didn't agree with their opinion they gave actual info on the movie that I could base my own opinion on (without giving away the plot).

Anyone else besides me like the SyFy version of Dune better then the movie? The Children of Dune sequel they did was not so good but Dune itself was well done though the lack of budget did limit things.

Survivable maybe but any normal person will pass out from it. Normal G forces are at most 10g with 9 being more normal and even then only for a few seconds.

Just watch "Mary and the Witch's Flower" and though it was decent it was definitely lacking something from the past works. I've also been watching UC Gundam Unicorn. I think I've gotten through the 3rd episode but the Angst is killing me. -
Get em in line two years before that - they will be tall enough by the time they get to the front of the line.
