    From what I saw the games were quite good, but they would make TERRIBLE, Hackneyed, movie plots.

    Even more then video, audio has no appeal for me. I have low-end TVs (one of which is 720p no less) and whatever speakers they come with is what I have...

    Same here, if I have a DVD I'm not going to go out and buy a BD of the same thing just to get a "better picture". Usually I can't tell the difference. If the original had massive problems, an example is the cleanup done for Metroplis (Fritz Lang's that is).

    Thanks, but now I'll never figure out when vowels are pronounced individually vs when they are combined like in english.

    Here is a nube question for everyone. How is Mika Doi pronounced? I have it in my head that it is "doy", but what little I now know of Japanese it probably is "Doe - e". More then likely I'm totally wrong either way...

    I have no idea what the law is, but you were showing films without doing any alterations of any kind. The "new" DYRL, even without the edits, was a remastered work - that may have been just enough to push it over the edge.

    I hope they keep the mr robo moves in. During the original the "robo" movements became more fluid as he re-connected with his humanity. (I figure everyone has watched the original by now...)

    You have to watch "Monster a Go Go". The only action scene was filmed in pitch black, the only thing we could see was a couple of reflections off of white helmets (I think, very hard to remember). This also featured a phone call where someone said "Ring ring" for the phone ringer rather then just having someone call the phone at the right time, there is cheap and then there is CHEAP! This one is only watchable in MST3K form of course.

    I kinda like the one in blue myself, something about that pose... Putting my pre-order for the second Blu-ray in soon.

    I think that is missing my point, or making it, not sure which. I'm not sure which is worse, changing the character's background so they could cast Mr. Mayonaise or getting rid of the armor to allow them more face shots of their pretty cast...

    > In the west. maybe... You know what I mean, studios put the films they expect to do very poorly in the September release slot. To go along with that they get a pathetic advertising budget too. There have been a handful of late summer or early fall releases that broke out of the trap, but not many.

    I have not read it yet so I don't know what the difference would be, but the mayor was there in the original show as well (unless my memory is more faulty then normal)

    Nothing is stopping them from doing so, not even you know who can stop that. Selling them in the USA would be tricky. No, I'm not holding my breath...

    You can tell it never had much of a chance to begin with, September is death for movie releases.

    Which is good, since it is a stupid idea! But since it is Yamato, and the original had it, I will forgive them. (especially stupid in Yamato, where a single round from anything will kill anything - except Yamato of course)

    I have not seen it, but any film that show the facehuggers getting loose in a hospital maternity ward and uses that in the TV ad, that is just sick.

    Finished watching the first two, the show certainly has promise but could also fall down a deep chasm of mediocrity if they are not careful. They are walking a fine line between acceptable for younger viewers while still keeping the show gritty.

    I've seen them all and they are not that bad, given a choice any Twilight film is preferable to any Transformers movie (except the animated one, I actually didn't mind that one)

    500 years from now Whitney and Amy will be long forgotten, but RB will be up there with the greats.

    I should read that again as well, I have a hard time remembering what was the novel and what was the TV movie any longer.

    YES! And the music, I'm sure they updated it but most of it is exactly what I remember.
