Yes on B5, they had a short (less then a minute) space battle sequence in "The Lost Tales" that shows what it could look like if redone. Sadly the rest of the DVD is not worth the price.

Gene Siskell has the best quick review of this movie I have ever seen. "a Star Wars rip-off, but the best one"

What a difference that trailer makes, now I might go see it. Granted, it still looks stupid, but in a Peter Dinklage is in it good way.

Not a problem in this case, the plot going on in the books involves different characters.

That is actually pretty (very) bad. If it does not have "legs" it will not not get a sequel. Since the reviews and buzz have been positive it most likely will not drop too much in the coming week or two.

It did dreadful in the tickets sold department, hopefully it does better overseas. Part of the problem (at least locally) is that it was not showing in Imax - Avengers was still hogging the Imax theaters.

The worst prop re-use I can remember is the ecto-plasma detector from Ghostbusters being used as a communication device in some scifi movie. A supposedly serious movie is NOT helped by a guy talking into an ecto-plasma detector...

Not at all, that trailer was great. Hopefully the Muppets got their TV mojo back! (that show from the nineties was pretty terrible)

YOU guys might have liked Armageddon but I wouldn't. I was not expecting a deep movie, I was expecting a decent action/disaster movie and it was not that either.

Well that is really no worse than Annie Lennox getting the award for the final LotR movie. She is a GREAT singer but that song was not good at all.

Armageddon was garbage. If JJ wrote it then my expectations for SW were lowered. The work he did on both of the ST movies (even with the mistakes of Into Darkness) makes me think he is perfect to direct SW though.

Joke, no joke, real news or not all I have to say is that it would be far better to assume Jar Jar never existed in the first place.

It is funny to note how Boba Fett is so loved since he spoke so little... Something of a Halmark for Lucas.

My opinions on the movies he directed is pretty much below the basement floor. I don't care if they made lots of profit.

I think it looks much better with the lower part, you are forced into seeing things from the bystander's perspective that way.

It is also full of people fighting to get rid of the same "top dog" but for entirely different causes, in fact MOST rebellions work out that way. This is why the armed toppling of a government usually results in chaos.

Maggie (a.k.a. Arnold Schwarzenegger vs. Zombies)
Dynaman replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
That is supposedly in the works, more or less - a sequel to "Conan the Barbarian" (with that second movie snipped from continuity) is in development.- 31 replies

Even if Ashoka does not know - if she gets close to Vader she will find out, a Padewon (sp?) and master can feel each other's presence in the force like Vader did.

> GL/LFM let the canon exist for most of the EU unless it directly dealt with major characters or anything GL directly contradicted Let me rephrase that. It was cannon till it wasn't. Or to put it more succinctly, It was never cannon.
