  1. For something like this, please PM Shawn. Graham
  2. Loved the first movie, but hated the Chuck Norris cameo in the second, really dragged the movie down into camp comedy. Hope the 3rd movie is an improvement. Graham
  3. That is mind blowingly stunning. Graham
  4. Great built, although to be honest I'm not a fan of the extra large thrusters on the leg FAST Packs and the side of the Back FAST packs. Graham
  5. Mine arrived from NY yesterday. Got home very late, so no time to add the super parts or transform it, but looks great, love all the extra Tampo printing, really adds to the toy. Hopefully will have time to transform it tonight. Graham
  6. Looks like a modelling book focused on the new Bandai kit. So probably lots of pretty pics plus build-ups. Graham

    Macross 30

Been playing since shortly after the game came out. Did another 5 Hunter 's Guild quests and 1 main quest yesterday. Now on main quest number 7-4. Limited time to play, so it's taking me a while to work through the game. Going through the Hunter's Guild quests as they become available. Should finally be getting the Tornado Pack soon, yay! Graham
  8. Had a super cool dream last night. I was in the Arcadia showroom and they were letting me handle the resin prototype of the v.2 YF-19. I noticed that it came with slots on the lower legs. I asked what these are for and they said they are attachment points for mounting two more gunpods in fighter mode, meaning a total of three gunpods could be carried in fighter mode. I asked will they supply the toy with three gunpods, but they replied, "Nah, only two". So I said "you gotta include three". Oh, and Kawamori was there in the dream too, but he ddn't say anything. 9. I thought it had been established that for each of the 2 x ventral bays (leg cover panels) on the VF-22, it was a choice between either gunpod or large reaction missile, but not both at the same time. This would neatly explain why Max is shown only using one gunpod in battroid mode during operation Stargazer, as his other weapons bay was holding the single large reaction missile that he fired into the roof of the cave. The micro-missile launchers on the leg bay cover panels are of course standard, irrespective of whether that leg panel is equipped with a gunpod or large reaction missile. Graham
  10. Looks gorgeous. Graham
  11. Gotta say I'm still looking forward to getting this, even though it is only a partial renewal (as suspected). I love the look of it with the Super Parts in fighter mode and I can't wait to swoosh it round doing mock dog fights with Alto's YF-29. And Bandai have fixed the most flawed parts of the original toy, so it does look much better in battroid mode in the photos. Graham
  12. Sadly it's the current state of affairs that unless you want to gamble on a crap shoot that you'll be able to get this at retaill or lower than retail later on after release, you have to be prepared to pay higher than retail with preorders. Graham
  13. Looks great. Can't wait. Graham
  14. To all those complaining about not securing one. All I have to say is: Come on, if you really wanted one of these and you didn't get one by now, you honestly weren't trying very hard. There were so many release windows from NY and others sellers, more so than for any recent Frontier release.. (Really want = willing to pay higher than retail price mark up). Graham
  15. As a hard core Macross fan, I keep trying to think of reasons to justify buying this kit, but as I already own the Yamato 1/48 and V.2 1/60 Hikaru VF-1A/S, I really can't think of any reason to own the Bandai kit. I've read all the reviews and the only reasons I can think of is if (A) I was relatively poor and didn't already own and couldn't afford the Yamato or Arcadia releases, or (B) I had masochistic tendencies and loved froppy messes that don't lock together well Graham

    VF-1J 1/55 Scale

Ditto, get one of the Yamato v.2 1/60 scale VF-1 toys or pre-order the new Arcadia 1/60 VF-1 toys (basically the same thing). Graham
  17. You guys really need to start using your spellcheckers. I've taken the liberty of corrrecting your spelling for you "The fans are the saddest part of the entire panel. It's almost embarrassing watching them ask LAME questions to Yune, and I actually felt bad for them." "How many years have they been using the same LAME page?" Graham
  18. I reckon this will be about 30,000 Yen. That's what Im prepared to pay. Heck, who am I kidding, I'll pay whatever it costs Graham
  19. We don't know that all Arcadia boxes will have fancy box art. So far we have only seen the packaging for the 30th anniversery VF-1J. Other Arcadia releases may well revert to Yamato style box art. They may just be doing the fancy box art just because it is for the 30th anniversary. So far all Arcadia has announced is the VF-1J 30th Anniversary, VF-1S DYRL Focker , VF-1S DYRL Hikaru and all new YF-19. This tells us that they have the license for DYRL style VF-1 toys and Macross Plus YF-19. We have no idea whether they have the license or plan to obtain the toy licences for other Macross animes/mecha. We have no idea whether they still have the molds for the other Yamato VFs (although it's likely they do IMO). At this stage we have no idea whether we will ever see the VF-0, SV-51, VF-4, VF-11, VF-17, VF-19, VF-22/YF-21 and SDF-1 again. So damn straight I'm hanging on to my Yammies. Graham
  20. As much as I love Macross, I too despise this game and deleted it after playing just a short time. Graham
  21. Gunpod will be different, as the YF-19's Gunpod has additional cooling vents on the barrel cover, which the VF-19F/S Gunpod does not. Ejection seat might be the same, but the canopy will definitely be different, as the YF-19's canopy is two piece, opening to the front and rear. Graham
  22. I just remember those 1/100 kits breaking really easily back in the day. Last time I tried to build one was probably 1988. I found the old variable 1/72 kits far more durable. Graham
  23. Yeah, the default low-viz schemes are great. I always use them if available. I'd buy that if Bandai made it as well. Graham
  24. I built both the VF-25F and VF-25S 1/72 kits and quite enjoyed building them. Graham
  25. I got one to review. Can't remember if I got any additional free ones after review. I certainly bought a few extras though. And to be fair to the v.1 1/60 YF-19, it was Yamato's state of the art at the time and when new did lock together and hold a pose reasonably well. Time has not been favorable to it though and the joints have loosened considerably (or even disintegrated in some cases). Also, it has been surpassed in design by newer releases such as the VF-19 series. Anything which is too froppy, doesn't lock together well or which parts are constantly falling off of like those horrid Banpresto transforming VF-1 toys is just too frustrating and takes the fun out of the model or toy. Getting back on topic, l may risk picking up one of these to see is it really as bad as everyone is saying. Graham
