  1. In 2014 (see thread title). Exactly when, nobody knows yet. Graham
  2. Not going to comment too much as I don't have one yet and haven't assembled one. But I will just say that in this day and age, there should be a reasonable expectation that (when new), any transforming mecha pla-model or toy should (a) lock together reasonably well in all modes and (b) be reasonably non-froppy (to the extent that it can hold a pose). If a model or toy fails those criteria, then I won't consider it for purchase. Graham
  3. It's never been confirmed what those things on the forearm are, but all the information on the YF-29 translated so far does not mention them being cannon. I'm thinking they are either thrusters or chaff and flare launchers. Graham
  4. Here in Hong Kong, it's pretty common for adult males to collect toy or model robots, so nobody even bats an eyelid at my collection. Graham
  5. Haha, back in the day, we had our share of lady time, oh yes, the stories I could tell Graham
  6. That's the one, cheers Regarding possible future toys, I'm only saying what I think is likely. Don't read too much into it. I have no contact with Acadia and the last time I had any meaningful contact with Yamato was when the VF-17S was first released, so a long time ago. Back to the YF-19, I'm guessing that at least some of the wing missiles can also be placed into the leg bay. That would be cool being able to swap out the leg bay weapon load. Graham
  7. That's the reason I never use HLJ anymore, because I'm impatient to get stuff, but even if you choose the fastest shipping method such as FedEx, HLJ are so slow at order processing and actually getting stuff out of the door. I often use the terms "snail's pace" or "glacial progress" when describing HLJ. Graham
  8. The post with the photo of the open leg weapon bay seems to have disappeared. Can somebody please repost it. Thanks in advance. Graham
  9. VF-0D is the most likely possibility after YF-19, followed by all new VF-0S. Graham
  10. I hope they didn't blow all the sfx budget on the shuttle destruction scene. Worried the remainder of the movie will just consist of Sandra Bullock talking to herself Graham
  11. Still drooling over the latest pics. Graham
  12. The finish and joints on my 30th anniversary YF-29 are fine thankfully. They only real problem I have with the 29 series is that the shoulder armor constantly falls off when transforming back to battroid mode. Graham
  13. Fantastic job, but needs exploding eyeballs! Paint those in and you'll be my god Graham
  14. Haha, exactly what things were appreciated on the 1/72 versions????? Don't think it's a case of Yamato forgetting things, rather, it's a completely different designer now, compared to the old design team(s). Graham
  15. Pre-ordered 2 from NY. Really want 3, but just can't afford it at the moment. What an absolutely stunning looking Valk. Definitely the best YF-29 color scheme so far. Graham
  16. I'm really looking forward to seeing wm cheng's build of this kit when it's out. Graham
  17. Here in HK, we also got the dubbed over version Anyway, definitely buying this on bluray when it's out. Graham
  18. My 25F from CDJ arrived yesterday and my other one from NY is on the way. Graham
  19. Isamu is more prominent in the Macross 30 game. I'm on level 7-3 and I haven't even seen Ozma yet. Graham
  20. This is so demanding a battroid mode hand shake pose photo together with the Arcadia YF-19 when both toys are out . Isamu's old and new ride together, will look so sweet. Graham
  21. You will be mine my pretty girl, oh yes you will. Graham
  22. Looks awesome, I'm in for 3. I'm sure the shoulders will be able to angle. Keep the faith! [Jedi mind trick]This is the droid you are looking for[/Jedi mind trick] Graham
  23. Pre-ordered from NY. Graham
  24. I'd have thought that military hardware like the Jaegers would be hardened against EMP, but then I guess they weren't expecting that the Kaiju would have an EMP weapon. And yes, I groaned out loud about the analog thing as well. Graham
  25. I'd really like a highly detailed Coyote Tango or Striker Eureka toy. I'm actually kinda Meh on the Gypsy Danger design. And why were the F-22's shown firing guns from both sides of the plane? And why did the F-22's only do absolute point blank range gun attacks instead of stand off attacks with guided bombs and missiles? I'm sure a couple of 1,000lb JDAM launched from stand off range would have been more effective than a stream of 20mm shells fired from when you are in range of the Kaiju's claws I guess I shouldn't think about this too much And why no A-10s? Graham
