  1. In the last 26 years, I've owned examples of pretty much every VF-1 toy line made (except Toynami) and I've never seen or heard of a VF-1 with see through windows on the shoulders. Graham
  2. Well, it had a good story. Graham
  3. I actually like it that NY undeclares the value, as when my wife sees the cheaper value on the parcel, she gives me less grief Graham
  4. I think if you are playing on easy difficulty, you can't issue orders, you only have the auto modes. You have to play at normal difficulty or above tho be able to issue orders. The auto modes were apparently added for the newer generation of Frontier fans who don't like mecha battles or whatever. Graham
  5. I've never hated Mac II, but then I love all Macross animes. I'd love a 1/60 VF-2SS W/SAP from Arcadia. It's a beautiful design. Graham
  6. This is Sparta(n)! LOL Graham
  7. I have two dozen V2 VF-1 including several 30th Anniversary releases and apart from the well-documented issues with the shoulder hinges on the early releases, I've had no other problems, they are as sturdy as hell. Graham
  8. I want VF-17S Millia type! Why is it not on the poll?.......Grrrr! And also want: V2. YF-19 V2. VF-0A/S VF-0D Fz-109 VF-2SS w/SAP Graham
  9. Haha, I just ate pineapple salad for lunch. Really! Graham
  10. Call me old fashioned, but I far prefer traditional cell anime, espcially for the characters. Some mecha looks good in CG, such as the Frontier VFs, but generally give me cell animation any day. Graham
  11. Topic moved from the toy forum as it was not about toys! Graham
  12. Lucky finally managed to snag one in the last NY round. Graham
  13. Still haven't got one, but not stressed. Waiting for NY to reopen. Get one, get one, don't get one, so what. And oh yeah, frakk Bandai and their restrictive quantities. Graham
  14. Damn, had a customer pay a visit just as I was logging into my HLJ account to order By the time I'd got rid of the customer, it was order stop Graham
  15. I want one only to display in fighter mode as I think the Super Packs look cool in fighter mode. But I'm not going to lose sleep over it if I can't get one in the end. The v.1 still looks acceptable in fighter mode. Graham
  16. Props to NY for under-declaring the value on shown on the outside of the carton. They declared it as only EURO 10, which kept me out of trouble with my wife, as she was the one at home when the package arrived. However, my other VF-171 arrive from CD-Japan at the same time with the full value decalared (US$157) and that got me in hot water with my wife ;( Graham
  17. My two both arrived yesterday, one from NY and one from CD-Japan. I only opened one last night when I got home and zoomed it around in fighter mode for a while. I didn't attempt a transformation as I was quite Fockered after a night out drinking with friends Graham
  18. I'm wondering if Hasegawa jumped the gun with their announcement before securing the rights and maybe Bandai objected. I'm just worried that with the lack of announcements that this is now vapourware Graham
  19. I've always imagined the VF-11's external radar dish as attaching to the Super Packs via an upside down 'T' shape bar, ┴ with the horizontal bar of the upside down 'T' sitting between the Super Packs and connecting to them and the radar dish sitting on the end of the vertical strut of the ┴ . That's just how I've always thought it's set up. As we never saw the radar dish equipped VF-11 without Super Packs in Macross 7, I've always assumed the radar dish connected to the super parts rather than directly to the VF-11 itself. I'll be interested to see how Hasegawa has the connection set up. Graham
  20. Kittens, send them kittens. They love kittens Graham
  21. Yes, it's normal.HLJ are notorious for their slow order processing. While they are reliable, they are painfully slow at actually getting orders out of the door. The term " glacial progress" springs to mind. HLJ are always my last choice if I want something in a hurry. Graham
  22. Not Alto's plane, it's Leon's. Anyway, unfortunately I strongly suspect this is now vaporware Graham
  23. What was the past credit scene? I left before the credits finished. Graham
