I just watched the movie. Never mind details in the story, just take it simple. A japanese submarine with secret 3D ESP map from a cute girl is set out to stop US dropping the 3rd A bomb on Tokyo. The CG is pretty good, but not real enough. The action scene is very well done. I don't get meaning of all the big talks in the movie, either it is lost in translation to the subtitle, or they are totally BS in the first place. But that doesn't matter, there is a fast forward button. This movie is very anime-like, so we anime fans wouldn't be disappointed.

I hope your church won't ban Macross. That would quite a tough decision for you. BTW, you didn't lose much for not wathcing HP4. It sucks. That's how to destory a good story, gutted out all the interesting parts, kill the suspence plots, and leave only the mindless action scenes. The HP4 book is one of the best, it's on-par with HP3. But this is the worst HP movie. I doubt any church dare to ban LoTR or the up coming Navarra movie, although they all contain pretty much the same kind of magical stuffs. The only difference between them is J.K.K.Tolkien and C.S.Lewis are well known christian writers, where J.K.Rowling is just a nobody (or was a nobody a few years ago) If J.K.Rowling suddenly declare herself believe in God tomorrow, all the church critism on HP will disappear at once.

Just watched ep 50 yesterday. I feel like watching a 30 minute long preview instead of an actual episode. There are lots of logical plot holes in the last ep. Apart from Shin lame fighting style, stupid reuse footage, character just flip-flop on their mind. I don't understand why Kira has to get off from his MS and risk getting kill. We all know Kira is not that good using guns. Can't he simply use S-Freedom to give a deadly blow to Gel?
