Wow... finally I had just finished all 49 eposides of Macross 7. All I have to say is.... watching the VF-22 of Max and Mira in action make it worth sitting thru Basara's crap. I'll buy the blue and red VF-22 pair if yamato release them. It's just so cool. Maybe yamato should release the sound force and jamming bird valkyires too. After being brainwash by 49 eposides, they doesn't look that bad anymore. I think Ray's green VF-17 is actually pretty nice. BTW, I think I come across the end of the argument about anime spiritra. According to the subtitle of the M7 I downloaded at imacross4 ftp server, Lord Gepelnitch do generate anime spiritra. On 2nd thought, Basara is not the most annoying character in M7, Sivil is. She is simply mentally retarded, only know to repeat a few lines, and scream in a high pitch voice without any reason.

You have make a big mistake. At first I thought I will only buy the MP Prime, and end up having to collect the whole BT line. Prime doesn't look good without his other buddies. BTW, I heard from the toy shop I go to that Takara is going to make a trailer for MP prime.

I'm wondering, will Bandai make a white Eva (evil ones with wings) to complete the SoC line of evangelion. Personally, I like MSN-100 most. It is the most posable robot I have ever seen.

I highly doubt M7 is very popular in Japan. If it was indeed very popular, how come Bandai didn't release toy for Battle 7 or Ray's green VF-17?

I missed part 1, my decision of getting part 2 depends on whether I'm able to get a set of part 1. It's kinda suck only having half the set. I heard from the owner of toy shop I used go to that the re-issue of part 1 will be repainted to different colour. Is it true? I can't imgaine Minmay's dress or Hikaru's uniform in another other colour. The secret chase figure is just outragous, too expensive. Unless it come with my box, otherwise I'll give a pass on it. If it indeed come with my box, I may consider selling it away, easy profit.

Since I started the thread, I better add a bit comment to clear things up. Before I start downloading it and watching M7, I already know I shouldn't have high expectation on it. I knew it is targeted to below 12 audience, so I watch it just as a past time and threat it like yet another super robot cartoon. I didn't bash on the quality of the anime or the recycle of clips, I understand that's just a low-budget TV series. I didn't bash much on the robot design, view it from another prepsective, the mecha is still kinda cool. Only if they can spend a bit time designing some decent looking enemies. The space monster is like coming out directly from Dragon Ball Z, so does the new bad guy with wing. I think I can tolerate the space monster if it just look cooler. A few years ago, I tried renting the show, but gave up on the 10th episode, the pace in the beginning is just too slow. This time, since downloading is free, I keep watching one or two eposides a day up to where City 7 got kinapped, Then story actually turned out quite good when Miria come out to fight and the backdrops of space war 1 appears here and there. This motivate me to watch the next 15 eposides in 2 days. However the space monster is just an anti-climax after all the good stuff. I wrote the first posting out of disappointment rather than hatre of the show. Let's see how the story wrap up in the end. One last thing, after brain washed by Basara's song for 30 eposides, I kinda like the music in M7.

I'm still struggling with Macross 7, viewed up to ep. 30 so far. Being a true Macross fans, I force myself finish all the shows in the Macross franchise. So far, I can tolorate with ugly valkyire with face, transforming Macross with fingers, even girl flying in space without help of any equitnment. But, valkyrie fighting space monster really crossed the line. What's next? Sailormoon + power range? Mylene transform into a valkyire with a flashy magic stick?

I just saw the perfect (not-so) rei in japanese book store in Vancouver. They got a whole pile of it in there. It cost CAD$45, and after some thinking and close observation of the toy, I decided to pass on it. The toy is very small, and it is made of plastic. The worst is the chest is actually not connected to the lower body, it's sort of floating on top of it with a big gap in between. The paint job is no where as pretty as those pictures on the web. For the same amount of money, I'd rather get a BT transformer. It's highly not recommanded for non-Rei fans. P.S. If they make a Asuka figure, I may consider buying a set though. I'm more a fan of Asuka than Rei.

I just got my set from Ben. Thanks for the prompt delivery. I'll like to post a mini-review about the Tomy diorama. First of all, the candy come with the toy sucks. Don't eat it, it taste really bad. Tomy has some really serious QC problem. The b-tab of my VF-1S is not glued properly, there is a big gap between the main body and the fins. My VF-1J gerwalk's left wing is really loose. I just can't stay on the same position unless I really level the valkyire. Worst of the worst, the left leg of my Monster is crooked. As a result, my monstor's two foot are not resting level on the ground. The toy set come with colour and detailing. lots of clipped paints here and there, the panel lines are way too thick. Can't except too much in a trading figure, so the painting is still acceptable in total. The figure has very limited articulation, can't really pose at all. The sculpture is not that great. The propotion is just not right. The Max VF-1A pose is very un-cool. In short, if you havn't buy this set, don't buy it. You'll definitely regret.

I think Toynami had made some very large scale valkyire, as tall as a person. However, I think 1/48 is the largest VF I can transform without help from others, I can't imagine how to transform a 1/24 VF.
