  1. Past hour
  2. This was at the Duluth show. It was parked just so, that you could see individual skin panels "turn silver" as the sun slowly moved. Doubly rare that it was a front-line squadron's plane on display, not an OT/Test-Eval etc one.
  3. Still looks gold to me from the side, might just be dependent on the lighting and atmosphere around. I forget if we saw one on display out here or not, but I know I've seen one or two at Edwards before.
  4. I watched this weeks Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again. Wow a beach episode. But it was tasteful.
  5. Today
  6. Just in case his band mates forget which song to play in the heat of battle
  7. A bit old news, but the club members special MB Astray Gundam Blue Frame with updated sculpt was displayed at the Tokyo store. https://www.taghobby.com/archives/777357 https://www.taghobby.com/archives/769820
  8. Schizophonic has put his review up – Intro, Part 1, Part 2 Better?
  9. I'm always amazed and just how much fudging happens in the artwork, and how much just can't be carried over into a 3D form. The artwork has the Battloid's chest as big and beefy, like a tank should, but in order to accommodate the other modes you've had to slim it down somewhat. Kinda like the wings on a VF-1, always changing size between modes.
  10. Something I forgot to mention is that there’s a few parts that definitely need glue, there are some parts to take caution with like the white armor around the lower legs. Those panels are pretty loose and I have a feeling they’re designed to be removable for extra add ons like super parts, so those you may want to leave a little loose just in case you want to eventually add something on instead of buying an additional kit. The little circles around the ankles will probably be fine to glue in place though, those things just plop off too easily
  11. The polycaps are thick and durable, but a little on the loose side. The ones at the knee seem fine, but the ball joints at the feet and hips don’t hold weight very well as is. They don’t pop off or anything, just sag without much pressure. It’s not a problem that can’t be fixed. Just thicken the ball pegs with a coat of super glue and they should be fine. I haven’t built much else yet though and can’t say for sure on the arms or body yet. As far as Regults, the hasegawa are very poseable and surprisingly look very anime compared to their Valkyrie kits. I’d say they look pretty good paired with the plamax kits. I think Hasegawa wanted something that looked like it was constructed by aliens to set them apart from earth made mecha like they’re Valkyrie offerings. By the way Wave Destroid kits will probably look better with the Plamax kits as well
  12. That's a cool touch. But still no pics of the underneath of plane mode to see if they fix those ugly gaps the YF19 has...
  13. Apologies for my ignorance. Wed Exclusive like can be purchased on the Tamashi store? Or Web Exclusive like available in any online store but not a actual physical store?
  14. Comparing apples with bananas here. One designed to look stylized like in the show. The other designed with plausible functionality. 🤷‍♂️ @Big s - Cheers for the HQ detailed pics. I'm so sold on these, will pick up the 1J to build during my summer. Definitely need some Regults in the same stylization to recreate some memorable scenes. Maybe some Zentradi troops too. It's also great to see that the seams don't need a lot of work, as from the online reviews I've seen, Max Factory was a bit behind this compared to others. How do the joints fair up? Is the quality of the polycaps good?
  15. Very nice build! Love these couple of pics especially.
  16. Gotta say these destroids look really great & vibrant! https://x.com/aokiryuusei2000/status/1791868923631333727
  17. Exactly. Hence the recent no show of Wave at the latest hobby fair. All I'm expecting is another Valk release this year by them.
  18. Finally finished the project of YF-25 Paladin Prophecy in Macross Rider. It's not an easy task to find the parts, especially when I damaged some parts and hence needed to find extra spare parts. And special thanks to a friend who passed me the resin parts, otherwise this project wouldn't be complete.
