  3. Just finished watching Tales of Morgan and Barriss.....meh Once again, Disney/Lucasfilm seem to think we need to have the background story for every character....this time it was for characters we arguably did not need any background story for....are these background stories supposed to make us feel sorry for both Morgan's and Barriss' "tragic" fates? Not exactly what I thought a Tales of the "Empire" would have focused on....oh well....I'm sure The Acolyte will be great!
  4. Not at all....did you add a filter to the pic? Looks like an illustration now.... Anyways....I end up playing more with these toys "digitally" than "physically" 95% of the time these days...lol
  5. Like the limited edition metallic 25F with both Sheryl and Ranka, Bandai should put out an all metallic version of the fire valk w/ gold trim and include an extra Sivil figure.
  6. I'm not saying this will be good or bad because I haven't watched it. It may swing either way. But my enthusiasm for this show is just 🤷‍♂️😐 after 2 trailers. I think we're already crossing the Rubicon there.
  7. Well, how many fetch-quests were there in those first two seasons of Mando? Think we won't hear the groans if a fetch-quest (or two or four) pops up in Season 4? It was something fresh and new those first two seasons. But now we're starting to see the patterns and the proverbial seams. So with The Acolyte, is there supposed to be some sort of new Phantom Menace that puts the Jedi on their heels? (pun definitely intended) The fatigue isn't just for viewers that have all this content to compare the new stuff to. It's also the writers and creatives: they gotta bring their A game, because they can't spam their usual tropes or story beats and because we know what absolute, stand-out Star Wars can look like.
  8. ^^Well, the first three eps focus on Morgan Elsbeth, the beskar spear wielding lady in Mandalorian and one of the antagonists in Ahsoka (who has a few kickass fight scenes in the finale). They try to give her some backstory, but the only interesting bits were her interactions with the Empire's military brass. Kinda wish they had flesh out a few other things about the character, rather than some of the stuff we saw on-screen. Other than a quick fight with Greivous, not much saber-wielding in those first three eps. . . . Can't say the same for the last three eps though.
  9. I don’t think it’s as much fatigue as it is disappointment. Every show has become a bit of a let down. I loved the first couple seasons of Mando, but the last one was a mess. And the other shows never had a great season other than Andor and hopefully the second season of that doesn’t end in another let down
  10. If they do go back to the Old Republic era, I'd be worried about which characters they could screw up. The fatigue is real. And the stories just aren't hitting with the same "oomph" as before. Bad Batch ended adequately. And Tales of the Empire was pretty underwhelming. They need to take time to marinade the stories a little more. Honestly, they're getting dangerously close to the point where Star Trek was around the time Voyager and Enterprise were airing. A lot of content is already out there, and the new stuff is either not taking enough risks or seems like rehashes/repeats of older, better told stories.
  11. I watched the first episode of Tales of the Empire and am not sure I'll watch anymore. I have no idea who this character is, the story was pretty thin, and I'm just not interested in what happens next.
  12. ^^Nice work there, @pengbuzz. Figure to change the thread a bit and show off an "old" boat: So many cool vehicles from this line!
  13. I have to agree. I'd actually prefer that they went back to the Old Republic era. I'll watch this show, but I had greater interest after seeing the first trailer than I did after this new one. My expectations just got lowered.
  14. I live in Massachusetts, and just got my card yesterday.
  15. Well, after seeing this new trailer, it definitely feels like The Acolyte is headed into Plot Hole: the Series territory. We'll know for sure in a month, though. Except, of course, for any characters appearing in later titles... e.g. Yoda. They're perfectly safe.
  16. Yeah, still not feelin' it. And still not diggin' the time period. Would have preferred 200...300...500 years before the Skywalker-saga. 100 years just doesn't feel far back enough.
  17. Dana really has big hair here lol.. But it's nice comparison pic between both figures. Assuming KC will be reusing Dana's body for their hinted & eventual Rook figure, it should be able to fit the Cyclone nicely.
  18. ^^ I really like the Low Vis VF-1, the scheme balances both fantasy & realism in a great way, and made more awesome by the elevator diorama. I hope you don't mind me using your pic @jvmacross, and made some stylistic edits to it. Will delete it if you are not comfy with it..
  19. Guess at this point I wont be getting my card for my PS5 collector set despite filling out the form. Also seems they have no intention of fixing the PC release not being able to go full screen on a 4k monitor I cant see hardly anything.
  20. We just started sharing the passwords for this to a coworker that my lady is friends with. Otherwise, I’d think about doing the same. They’re still getting some movies and a few great shows, but not enough for the price they’re charging. Oddly the b movie catalog is getting pretty good and I kinda want to rewatch Phantom 2040 to see if it’s as weird as I remember
