  2. Can anyone tell me what tariffs are on this toy (going to the US)? I see a lot of tempting prices, but frakking tariffs make it a pain to figure out what I'm going to be charged...is it 15%? 60%? I've already been bitten by unexpected tariff prices once on ebay, so I'm not wanting to pick this up for $130-$160 and then end up paying $300 by the time it arrives. If that's the case, I'll just wait for the US arrival.
  3. Yeah. In the Origins/Roots of Ambition ova, Reeman's Squad uses regular AT-STs with 6-tube missile launcher and a custom spike weapon for Reeman's AT-ST. In the Unknown Red Shoulder ova, Gregore's squad uses a 7-tube missile launcher on their ST-TCs In Pailsen Files ova, Berkoff's squad uses a 12-tube missile launcher in both their regular army AT-STs and their ISS Black ST-TCs. Both have the updated biceps-detail, too. It'll be very impressive if Bandai can produce and sell the complete Pailsen Files ATs this time around in HMR, instead of just the regular AT-ST and Ground Fatty from their old 1/20 model kit line. Takara completed the Pailsen Files ATs in their Actic Gear line, in contrast...
  4. Yeah, it's awesome. The translator (Logan) did the hard work, and he did a damn good job of it. Kodachi's prose is phenomenal and I'm so happy its coming through clearly. And yeah, summaries aren't everything. Lotta misinformation goes around, so I'm very happy to be getting the work out there to clear any up.
  5. Today
  6. That seems pretty close to how Supergirl treats her dog. It’s just kinda there and if she really has to do something she might, or she might just find someone else to take care of it. At least Rocket always stayed more responsible for Groot’s existence
  7. Best of May'n - One Blue! And funny video of May'n at the games.
  8. First of all thanks for the hard work. It feels like we are finally getting a key missing link in the franchise. There are some interesting things on this chapter: The cameos from Alto and Ozma, the gorgeous battles Kodachi describes…. The vf-19EF seems to be a beast. Also, one misconception I got from reading the summaries online is that Chelsie never got to kill anyone while in the novel she clearly does. Also props to the translator, the prose is really good.
  9. Thanks, acknowledgements like that provide motivation when the task turns out to be so much more work than anticipated... Since the individual segments didn't scale consistently, I've had to assemble the model virtually and adjust the relative size and proportion of each part to confirm the proper shapes and sizes: I've also taken the opportunity to further refine the model, adding upgrades like the new control panel and handlebar grips (as well as the aforementioned fuel cap). The next prototype will be a major improvement.
  10. I think I focused on the presence of the dog for the same reason I do for Baby Yoda and Groot. I don't see such characters as real characters. But simply a manipulative ploy to make the audience go "aww".
  11. New article on the unit found at Hobby Japan Web.....
  12. I stand corrected! So there is a Birkoff Squad & a Reeman Squad?.... and an Unknown Red Shoulder squad? That's going to be expensive in the Hi-Metal R line!!! Bring it on! 🤗 and a Vorct Squad!? 😱
  13. Huge delay in updates but here is a what I have. The builds have super slow as Tse and I have both had to move houses. You can check his build on IG.
  14. In case of VF-25, isn't the canopy tinted in the anime and other official material? Anime accuracy is solid reason to do that
  15. I think as modelers we over estimate how many cycles the molds used for plastic kits are put through. It is a fraction of what is possible when you consider how many cycles molds used for other household items (phone cases, brackets etc.). The only kit molds I have heard of being worn out are the are for a 1/72 109 kit (either Eduard or Arma, I fail to recall which) as they were aluminium and only good for 50 odd thousand shots. Steel molds last much longer than that but are far more expensive to make. Also molds aren't milled AFAIK. Rather Electro discharge machining is used. Atlantis acquired a lot of old Revell tools they stated that some had degraded to the point of being unusable even though they had been used once. Rust killed them over 50 years or so.
  16. official Tamashii site fore renewed Layzner is now open, with lots of PR pics: https://tamashiiweb.com/item/15795/ General Retail release this time. add/edit:
  17. That's actually Reeman Squad from the OVA Origins of Ambition (previously known as Roots of Ambition)
  18. Not my thing also. But they are kinda cute.
  19. They got the toilet fixed. After turning it off and on again. ... And then had problems connecting their tablets to Wi-Fi. "I have two Outlooks and neither one works." is now a sentence that was uttered across the gulf of space, as is "We're going to power-cycle the toilet." The future is dumb. Possibly the most mundane problems in the history of space exploration, which I guess is a good thing. Hopefully the working toilet means the number of times official mission transcripts include the phrase "there's a turd floating through the air" remains one.
  20. Compared to today, Earth is rather sparsely populated in Macross after the First Space War. We see a number of emerging cities and towns in the aftermath arc of the original series, but thereafter we don't really get to see much of the planet aside from Macross City in Alaska. Presumably any housing that they put up for housing clones destined for emigrant fleets was either demolished or subsequently repurposed as regular housing for Earth's ever growing population. It's far from the only place to live in the solar system, though. There are space colonies at the LaGrange points, surface bases and cities on the moon and Mars, "satellite cities" orbiting Venus and several outer solar system gas giants, resource stations on various other moons etc.
  21. For those that have both, can we get some comparison pics in all 3 modes, of the Omega and the Sentinel Legioss toys, with a ruler included in the pic please to show size.
  22. Looks like Cavico Choipla series is getting into the Birkhoff Squad, let's hope Bandai gets a hint! 🤗 not my cup of tea.....
