  2. Nice, Iโ€™m totally sick of seeing world war 2 armor kits everywhere. I love the designs and all, but almost nobody posts things anywhere of anything beyond that era of armored vehicles
  3. Today
  4. To me the Overgear releases are meant to fit in with the Diaclone Reboot toys. They seem to have the same design language play features and construction as these toys. I think size wise they might fit in with either the MP or Movie MP line but to me the difference in style is far too garish. [edit:] the Anime Export site mentions that the robot is 18cm tall which seems to be a bit small for MP scale. Once I am home I could measure the height of my FM Warhorse to be certain .
  5. The Galactic Racer's Voice Actor was cringe worthy. And what happened to the requirement for the engines to be on PODS instead of directly attached?
  6. That didn't take long... Optimus Prime Also, reveal of MPG Blaster โ€“ meh to me, but I have never been a big fan of Transformers turning into just things.
  7. Next up in the backlog from like two years ago of kits that aren't finished yet... I'll be finishing up the 1/35 Tamiya Bradley M2A2!
  8. For actual scale, I think the answer is "whatever scale you want them to be". Given we seem to have a truck and a helicopter of similar size, the vehicles aren't even in scale with each other. And there's no canon height for these two robots. The holy Sunbow chart holds no power here! As far as actual size, we're gonna have to guesstimate it based on the peg holes, of which they have a metric crap-ton. Most usefully, both of them have 5mm-compatible fists, with articulated fingers. The hands seem beefy, but not outrageously chunky. In mainline Transformers packaging terms, I'd guess the robots to be ... large Voyager, maybe Leader class? As far as what's near me for a reference, I'm guessing Ironhide is comparable to the JAXA crossover Luna Convoy.
  9. Thereโ€™s some fun stuff on the tiny desk concert series from small rooms to lil animated fun. You definitely need to check out a few. Also the KEXP live series is really great as well. Lots of amazing bands in a small studio setting. The Zig Zags, and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard were introduced to me through their series and I really appreciate seeing bands do smaller things like these once in a while.
  10. Yeah, I totally agree. I really did not like the new version of the show at all. Kinda killed the adventurous feel of the original for a bunch of odd paranoia and goofy changes. The original characters and designs and music were so much more memorable that I can easily forgive a few slices of cheese along the way.
  11. I bet this song was playing when Kei Katsuragi and Tina Henderson (Of Orguss). When they were getting their groove on in the bedroom. The night Athena was made. Before Key was sent to the future.
  12. Not my favorite design or anything, but I kinda like the lil uggo. Personally Iโ€™m not into the toyrise line, but if a ps version comes out for the 1/35 kit, then Iโ€™ll buy that for sure. Wave did the basic one, but I donโ€™t think the ps version happened yet. I do have the old Actic gear one that really cut some corners and disappointed me, so I guess I need a good zwerg.
  13. Ooh, like the tease of the Scopedog transporter at the end of the video! Would love to get it for the HM-R series! ๐Ÿค—

  17. Anybody know what the size/scale of Overdrive is โ€“ Masterpiece compatible? On the otherhand it might of been an opportunity for Takara to finally scale the vehicles to each other.
  18. Probably 2027/28 It's nice that Takara is making the unit, the problem I have with them is that they are half model half build toys and the none printing is not acceptable at this day in age! Although they have released a unit in the ARC series that did have complete printing! For me also the Hi-Metal R line is enough to satisfy my needs! and I don't mind waiting as long as they do that, what they have been doing so far and give it their best effort!
  19. I'm just on the Quent arc on my rewatch of the TV series, so it's made me want a Zwerg, even though I don't like the design that much. ๐Ÿ˜… However, I've decided to stick with the HMR line for my Votoms toy needs, so I guess I'll be waiting a while.
  20. Oh, that remnant Snowtrooper is ugly. ๐Ÿคจ
  21. I'm with you. TOS Galactica is dear to my heart, and as a little boy I wanted a brown suede jacket with all the buckles so badly, way more than Han Solo's vest. Corny as it may be, I appreciate it for its campiness. I tried giving nuGalactica a try, but it didn't sit well with me. They turned Starbucks into a sexy chick, they turned Boomer into a sexy Korean chick, the chrome Cylons were turned into Replicants, and all of Ralph McQuarrie's designs were trashed. The Cylon ships look like hood ornaments. "Oh but Steve, I mean Greg, the original TOS Cylons show up in the 4th season in one episode..." I DON'T CARE. I was hoping that the remake show would capture the look and feel of TOS, and they sort of revive the Viper as an "older model" that remains faithful to the original design, but pretty much everything about it was a disappointment. I have to say that the best design from the reboot show is the Pegasus, as Ted mentioned. Fantastic. I started my TOS Galactica model kit several years ago, but as I was trying to figure out the timer chips to create the runway chase lights for the hangars, I couldn't get them to work right and I shelved it years ago. I really need to get back into doing electronics...
  22. As I posted in the "What will Hasegawa do next" thread, I visited the Winter WonFes event this past weekend. Here are videos and photos of the event.
