  1. Past hour
  2. From what I had heard from a contact at Disney, Disney after acquiring FOX did have ideas of a ride or some attraction that was going to be ALIEN themed. But after a long drawn out census and ideas they deemed it was something that would been to terrifying and difficult to pull off. I'm not sure how involved they were wanting to get....there was that non licensed ALIEN WAR attraction in the UK so long ago....could just pull off something like that and would probably been amazing.
  3. Today
  4. Going to experiment with some complimentary underpainting on this little Valkyrie. So I’m thinking blue under the orange and a purple under the tan. Might look like 💩in the end but why not.
  5. I came here for this. Thank you!
  6. I kinda get that feeling as well, especially since there’s so much talk about what went on just before we get to what’s going on here as though we missed something somewhere
  7. Next inline for Hot Toys Star Wars figures
  8. Each arc is almost like a 3-hour movie. Kinda thankful they didn’t try to stretch these out into a season a piece. Yeah, there’s the initial “What did I miss?” feeling at the start of each arc. But it’s not hard to figure out what’s happened in the interim.
  9. That's not what's happening here. Every three episodes take place over a short amount of time. They aren't taking place over a year.
  10. They kept the original blue-white coloration that was chosen back in the days when Gundam's animation was hand-drawn. It was chosen because a pure white makes it harder to draw light effects. 'course, the whole "White Gundam" thing goes back to the original series where the Gundam was called the "White Guy" or "White Devil" by Zeon for its white paintjob... and Tomino's desire to have the whole thing just be flat white before getting overruled by marketing.
  11. By looking where the new toy differs from the original I can see what I think are some indications of what they were trying to do. This is what I have come up with so far.
  12. Wow, now that's an expensive piece of something not many of us are even aware of, or care of to spend that type of money. It's a cool piece, but for that price, well, yeah, no! It's cool that you have a set of them.
  13. This is the early days of the Rebellion, after all. The Rebel Alliance hasn't been founded yet at this point in the timeline. Luthen et. al. are maintaining and supporting a network of independent rebel groups as best they can, but each group is still a separate entity with its own chain of command and its own agenda and priorities. There's no central command. No official training regimen. Each rebel cell has to make do with the volunteers they can find and whatever teachable skills they bring with them. For every elite rebel group like Luthen's, Hera's, or Saw's that has had actual military training, prior combat experience, significant technical skills, and/or the benefit of plot haxx like Jedi and Mandalorians, there are dozens like the Ghorman Front or Maya Pei Brigade that are made up of normal people whose only real qualifications are being angry enough with the Empire to pick up a blaster and shoot someone over it. The ones with good leadership, discipline, planning, and luck will last long enough to gain experience and grow more effective as insurgents. The ones who don't... well... you've seen what happened to the Maya Pei Brigade. That's why Mon Mothma's call for a Rebel Alliance is such a game-changer. Consolidating the individual rebel movements into a single cohesive organization allowed the rebels with critical skills and experience to train the inexperienced civilian volunteers into effective spies and soldiers for their war with the Empire.
  14. Mike I have been enjoying the reviews you post here on Macross world. I an really enjoying this set, and I have had no QC issues with mine. I have appreciated the improved cartoon accuracy of the Haslab version as well as the improved stability and articulation in all modes. I have not found the Sword to be to be that awkward to play with. if you have him hold it two handed, I tabbed the sword handle in his right hand, and just have the left hand wrapped around the handle. He is holding it with his right elbow bent at 90 degrees, and the left arm pushing down the handle to hold the sword at the angle I want. He was easy to balance without using the stand, and easily held the pose for hours. I am feeling the opposite, he handles his sword really well for how huge it is! I am the least satisfied with Blue Bolts, I like the idea of it transforming to a robot, bit the execution of that idea falls short in my opinion. You can re-arrange the parts to make different weapon configurations, but none of them are held together solidly enough to be fun to play with. The most solid one is the the way it is mounted on Omega Prime, or the vehicle mode, but to put it on Ultra Magnus's robot mode you have to disconnect the two tabs that keep it stable. Trying to tab the white shoulder hinge into the holes in his forearms is a pain to get it in the hole, the minute you put pressure on the gun part to attach it, the white hinge collapses into the blue shoulder part, because there is not solid stop to prevent it. the hinge piece is hard to get back out because the only grip you can get on it is the groove cut in the end of the post that i have to use my fingernail to get out. I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out what the "Fan-mode" for using all of the fire truck parts as additional armor for Omega Prime.
  15. That build is looking great! I never new the glue could be removed from old decals. Always figured they would be ruined once you water to them. Thanks for the great tip! Did you apply Decal Setter? Or another adhesive to make the decals stick? Great Build.
  16. Thanks!! Yes need to source the posters next 😁. This is the third floor!! Took several of us, alcohol, and good spirits to get these up there. We had one heck of a workout. I partnered with HighFlow in Netherlands to spec these cases. Happy these turned out great and share the love to protect these. https://www.highflow.nl/?match=all&subcats=Y&pcode_from_q=Y&pshort=Y&pfull=Y&pname=Y&pkeywords=Y&search_performed=Y&q=macross&dispatch=products.search
  17. I really wish this 2nd, and last season was actually 4 full seasons as originally intended. Each of these 3-episode blocks feel like an anime compilation movie. We just seeing highlights of things. Interesting plot points that you want to see expanded will be gloss over during the next block.
  18. Great work @pengbuzz! Nice work on the hinges, and the helmsman is clearing trying out a new evasive manuever.
  19. I don’t get it. Isn’t this what happens with most collectibles that have a limited run?
  20. My watch group finished up the new batch of Andor episodes last night. I'm pretty satisfied with the story thus far. They didn't... the Ghorman Massacre hasn't happened yet. Apparently, as something of an olive branch to the Legacy fans, they decided to keep the pre-Disney version as a separate but less-severe event as a way of establishing the rising tensions on Ghorman. The series'll be headed back to Ghorman in future episodes, since the massacre is a pivotal event that directly gives rise to the Rebel Alliance. Yeah, Saw is... a unique personality. He was never the most stable person in the galaxy. When we first see him in The Clone Wars about 17 in-universe years before these Andor episodes, he was already a bitter and violent man fighting in a guerilla resistance movement against the Separatist occupation of his homeworld Onderon. Then the Republic sent Jedi and clones to train the Onderon resistance, which only made them better at guerilla warfare. He became even more unstable when his sister was killed fighting the Separatist droid army... and it's basically been all downhill from there. 20 years of nonstop guerilla warfare against the Separatists, and then the Empire, with the accompanying stress and paranoia has not done great things for his mental state and he's going to get even worse in the next few years until he dies on Jedha in Rogue One. It's not surprising Luthen is still willing to work with him, since Saw's partisans are basically the oldest and most experienced rebel faction out there and the ones with the fewest qualms about their goal of burning the Empire down. Once Mon Mothma forms the Rebel Alliance, his lot refuse to join because most rebels think he goes too far and Saw thinks every other rebel group doesn't go too far enough.
