  1. Past hour
  2. I don't recommend PLA for mechanical parts. They slowly creep under load resulting in loose joints. I found PETG to work fine, easier to print than ABS and have no creep issues. Some resins will also creep and loosen to a degree, but not as much as PLA does.
  3. Fassbender was actually my favorite part of those movies
  4. HMAGARAGE's 1/72 F-15 Kai. The panel lines look a little heavy IMO.
  5. Arii is definitely a janky company, but I’ve built a bunch of their kits since they were the only Macross ones I could find back in the 80’s and early 90’s until the internet age. Basically they were my childhood and I rarely saw imai kits available
  6. Nice job ! That came out great!
  7. I agree. While I get to work on that Space Jockey I’m also getting back to what I love. Old janky kits. ♥️
  8. I can make it upon request; it's homemade, actually. I haven't determined the cost yet, but if I get a few orders, I might.
  9. Is that a kit we can buy somewhere? Looks great.
  10. Hi Guys! Finally a finish this project. All printed in resine. Painted with airbrush and handbrush. Some decals from aliexpress 😁 Enjoy! Follow me on youtube and instagram! Thanks!
  11. Today
  12. Ah, got it. I know even PLA has different formulations like PLA+. Some do respond better than the original stuff. My current FDM printer can do PA6 and PA12 variants of Nylon, as well as those with carbon fiber reinforced, but it isn't a fun material to work with. I have heaters and dryers for it, and even then, if it is a humid day, all of that work is for nothing. Still, it's yielded some great fixes to things that were just impossible, like the VF-171 disintegrating triangles on the sides. And you're right, those materials aren't cheap. The PA12 CF version is exceptional with less water absorption, and is just great to work with, but it's almost $90 for 500g. So, I use it very sparingly. Maybe it'll get cheaper as the technology allows more accessibility to print those materials.
  13. Now I picture a Xenomorph version of Gordon Ramsay doing the following to one of the dumb crew members: Normally I like Michael Fassbender, but he just didn't sit well with me in either of the movies. Just personal preference I suppose. The rest of the movie I honestly had tried to watch, but after multiple tries (my "bits and pieces" comment), I gave up. I understand your point; I guess stupidity just overloads my "hr geigercounter" too much here.
  14. Guess Titan Comics and HG aren't the only ones who can rip off artwork...
  15. Just search Eric Andre show intro on YouTube. Honestly the intros were the best part of the show. Pure chaos all the way
  16. Yeah, just some lil ones here and there and it’ll just be perfect
  17. Oh, it 100% is... it's the ventral view from this line art. It's really obvious they tried to cover up the tracing/photoshopping by smudging out the details of the Macross's ventral engines and the gap between the main engines.
  18. Considering what easy marks Humans are for Xenomorph XX121, with so very many examples of them being stupid enough to go stick their faces directly in a giant wet obviously dangerous space egg of unknown origin... It'd probably read like a food critic's newspaper column. A penny for Big Chap's thoughts. That's the only XX121 specimen to go through it all twice. First on the Nostromo and then again on Romulus station. If he'd lived long enough, he might be upset at getting upstaged at the end by Mark Zuckerberg "The Newborn". Alien: Covenant isn't quite that bad. It's rubbish as a prequel to Alien, but it's a passable generic monster movie and Michael Fassbender does deliver a pretty good performance as the creepy and insane android David 8. The reason I mentioned it as an exception is that it's unique among Alien titles for being a xenomorph massacre where "The Company" was genuinely not responsible.
  19. The ones I know of: Cody Rhodes- Pro Wrestler (WWE, son of wrestling legend "Dusty Rhodes") Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson- Rapper (Eminem's friend) Jason Momoa- Actor (Justice League. Aquaman, Dune) Roman Reigns- Pro Wrestler (WWE) Didn't know Andrew Koji was Storm Shadow O.O I'll have to check that out sometime!
  20. Now you can say it's scrarchbuilt.
  21. Betrothed to My Sister's Ex had a really promising start, but it has devolved into a really frustrating and tedious mess. We're on like the fifth round of "Oops, the main couple are making too much progress we'd better bring up the dead sister again" in just ten episodes. They have dragged this out SO MUCH that it's stopped being dramatic several rounds ago and is just exhausting to watch... and the excuses the characters use to not just cut directly to the heart of the matter have gotten so incredibly flimsy that it's headache inducing.
  22. Thanks. 😊 Yeah, that’s a great idea. I might do some very minor damage around the build to help unify things and bring less attention to the nose. Less is more is what I’m learning.
  23. Noticed the Macross is in the Star Trek Hive comic....you cannot tell me that is not the silhouette of the dyrl sdf-1 with armd! 😛
  24. Honestly, I think he’d get a kick out of it. He dies so well and is pretty chaotic in his comedy. I still love those chaotic openings to his show where he’d go totally berserk and destroy the set and tackle the band at the beginning of every episode just to have a spare desk lowered onto the stage and other set items brought from around the corners at an attempt to make things look presentable again.
  25. Looks Awsome. I can see that little nose scratch from this side that you were talking about, you could try and do a couple other little scratches here and there and it will just look like some weathering
  26. NGL I don't get the wing hate, especially since valks already tuck them away. Not that I'm big on prominently winged mecha, especially not giant immobile wings. But If it flies, I don't see a problem with some deployable flight control surfaces. If it's supposed to be armed, I'd like that it has the options to use the pylons. To lose flight control and weapons for the sake of being a perfectly humanoid robot seem like strange design priorities to me. With that said, I actually like the vtol thing on the bottom left the most, and that thing definitely has dangling wings and engines on the back lol.
