MP-13 is still pretty great but those hips suck. They were trash 12 years ago and they are a big detriment to this repaint. I wished they would have redesigned them for this release for the people who want a toon style MP Soundwave. I’m happy with my Acoustic Wave though. MOG continuous to be a hodgepodge of odd choices. I don’t know what Takara is thinking.- 17676 replies

As long as i like the Valkyrie or any mecha design in an anime, i will probably grab it, if it is not too expensive.

^^😬 The only story tie-in between Macross and Mospeada is Robotech. And that’s a can of worms you probably don’t want to go down. Mospeada as a stand-alone anime is actually pretty good. Cool designs, a compelling kick in the face to start the show off, interesting characters, and an enemy that may not exactly be destroying the Earth.

I have never watched Mospeada, but i heard that it was connected to Macross so i grabbed a Sentinel RIOBOT series AFC-01I Legioss Iota some years ago and it was a nice looking Valkyrie design anyway. There were three of these Valkyries called Legioss in the Sentinel RIOBOT Mospeada line, i considered getting all of them, but decided to get only one because the other two were only in different color and i don't really know the anime so getting only one of them looked enough to me to have something from this branch of Macross as well.

So I finally got my Sentinel blue Legioss x2 today. One I combined with the Tread and the other I display in soldier mode. It felt like a nightmare transforming it the first time. Especially the hips that had the pin twisted backwards on one leg. Once a understood the transformation i could get it from fighter to soldier mode in under 10 min. The look great on my shelf, a worthy successor to my old Robotech Alpha/Beta combo.

So, it’s a bigger scaled figure, but they can’t get the arm-booster tops to sit flush in fighter mode?

Hate being a Negative Nancy, but those cassettes... Oof! It's as if Hasbro is testing the degree to which collectors are willing to embrace material and design reductionism. Scoop these up and this process will shift again into another higher gear.- 17676 replies

If SS86 Soundwave isn't for you, Takara announced MPG-19 will also be Soundwave. Before you guys get too excited, though, it looks like a repaint of MP-13. EDIT: If SS86 and MPG-19 aren't enough Soundwave for you, I'm also hearing that Missing Link Soundwave is coming next year as well.- 17676 replies

Got these awhile ago. They're a bit old, but the condition of them is great, and I got them for a really great price.

Looks awesome! I really like these movies so I'm still in on day one. Ubisoft also announced new Fire and Ash DLC for the Avatar game, which I got the Ultimate Edition for $20 and it's a solid game at that price, definitely looking forward to the new DLC.

Yes, the transformation on the YF-21 isn't horrible but there are points where it makes you think if the legs are actually going to fit in/out of the bay/under section. Jenius' video and write-up definitely helped when I was working on the YF-21. I feel like Bandai (almost) did the best they could, but of course in hindsight there are always areas for improvement (longer fuselage/nose-section, fold out latch for bracket free transformation, etc.). I'm wondering if/when Bandai does a VF-22S how are they going to address the bay doors (22's are a bit different from 21's) without breaking-up the line art too much. A portion of the VF22S's bay door design extends further below what Bandai currently has for the bay door/side leg cover sections.

DHL is great for me I'm the Los Angeles area. Just asked AE to ship but haven't received an invoice yet.

Weirdly, they are pretty efficient for me, but that may just be the amount of foreign-based items flowing into the DC area. Recent DHL for me was about $35 when I got the Sentinel Tread- no big tariff bump.

I didn't remember any word on the VE-1, just assumptions since the VT-1 has similarities and seemed to sell well.

So, trailer 2

I asked Toynami about the 1/55 re-release announced at this year’s SDCC. I’ve attached their full response. 💯💪❤️🚀 [I have no clue what hidden meanings are assigned to emojis by kids today, so forgive me if I’ve chosen poorly. I have no plans for world domination or any other such nonsense.]
