Yeah, they work, but what's really missing is a notch to keep the barrel aligned. Wouldn't have been hard either, all they needed to do was add a stud to the underside of the barrel that would lock into the recess in the center of the backplate. The gun stays mostly level.. it just doesn't get held in place by anything.

Hi everyone, after finishing Gubaba’s translation of the first volume of the Macross Deta novelization, I decided to give it a go and try reading the rest. After buying the novel on bookwalk and being able to read it in the form of some horrible translated images, I found It had quite a bit of interesting details and recontextualized some scenes with wonderful characterization. Hence, I decided to do a better translation and improve the presentation to share it with the community. There are however two disclamers: First, this is a machine translation, my only merit here is working on the presentation and revising errors and spelling. Full respect to all the guys that have been translating directly from Japanese all these years, you are my inspiration to bring this here. Second, if this post violates any rules regarding copyright and piracy in the server let me know. I plan on uploading semi-regularly the rest of the chapters once I can streamline the translation and revision process. I can also share the methods I use and the ones I’m trying, furthermore, I would like to see more people contributing to translations. I’m aware the use of machine translation poses some dilemmas, but being able to understand the master file books, interviews and now Ukyo Kodachi’s novels has made me fall in love again with the franchise. Now I just want to share it and help enrich the fandom and the overall conversation. Any sort of corrections critiques will be really appreciated as it is my first-time sharing content like this. Mine came in last week. Colors are nicer than I expected, and matte is also nice than I expected. Kinda weird the gunpod is still in gloss though. Had to do shoulder swap. Ejecting crotch cover is apparently nothing new. The arm plug hole has absurd spring tension, so the gunpod adapter doesn't stay in, and the shield launches across the room if not pushed in at some perfect distance and left to settle so that static friction overcomes the spring tension lol. Intakes barely hold in gerwalk when on the stand. They just want to drop with the legs, and the backpack strut wants to pry that crotch piece out. I know the gerwalk articulation is supposed to be lackluster, but I can't tell if the intakes are just the 2 clicks. And it looks like there is a thigh swivel, but they only turn like 3 degrees with no friction and no ability to resist gravity while on the stand, and then have a soggy backstop that pushes back, so it just feels like plastic that doesn't bend is just flexing back... I can't tell if it's as far as it goes, or I'm doing something wrong. The sloppy abdomen split where the battroid brace goes was somehow sealed together so tight out of box, that I had to pry at with an uncomfortable amount of pressure with a flathead. Never knew there was a fancy swing bar locking switch mechanism in there, but mine came pre locked. That blocked the swing bar from going in all the way, and I couldn't figure out why, because the lock wasn't supposed to be relevant until the next step... Took me a long time to figure out i was wasting my time trying to force it to latch on the fuselage. While on the stand, the battroid legs jiggle and rattle at the swing bar's axel hole inside the crotch, as well as a bit of slop at the latch, despite properly locked in. It's probably the intended fitment by design, but it sure as heck feels like an extremely aged and worn out metal on plastic joint and doesn't inspire confidence... The stand adapter doesn't even seem to sleeve around it's intended crotch space all the way. It's kind of a loose and off angle mess. Superparts are surprisingly easy fit for once, despite the regular sloppy nubs. Gunpod splits slightly crooked and IDK why lol. It's great that I grabs on the crotch in fighter mode without needing that partsforming adapter that self ejects though. Overall, looks wonderful, and panel fitment seems to be great. Waist and thigh structure doesn't inspire confidence when hanging from the stand, because of everything I nitpicked, but it holds after getting them together properly so far, so it's still a satisfying display piece to have. Heres to hoping those sloppy bits are not a longevity issue.

Booger's Draken though. Also, now I can sleep knowing I'm not crazy for believing the gunpod mechanisms do their job

Discord is integral for certain games like World of Warships, mainly for clan communications in game. Its practically the only reason I'm on Discord, lol. -

I always had a really rough time watching those movies. The cg was really really bad. It kinda feel like maybe I should try again one day, but they’re just so hard to look at. Hopefully the new one won’t be so bad

So, is it Goo or Mobile Saurian Godzilla 00? Or does Godzilla just have terrible version control? Another couple films and we've got Godzilla 98, Godzilla Me, Godzilla XP, and Godzilla Vista!

Hey, I'm just happy I can pose this one on the feet that way. The stupid mechanism in the YF-19's leg meant the feet can't be pulled out in fighter. In this case though, I figured the door made a nice reference line to show how everything was lined up vertically, even if the angle of the pic showed the door slightly tilted. A few notes on this one though.. This is absolutely a Bandai design, through and through. All kinds of little considerations to make fit together more tightly or align better.. all of which are unnecessary, and make transformation more difficult than if they'd just left well enough alone. Yeah, carving a slot for the shield to fit against the legs tightly sounds like a good idea.. Until you go to mount the gunpod. So you stick it between the arms, and press the legs together to hold them together to hold it there... and now the shield won't fit because you have to spread the legs to fit it into the slot, which lets the arms pop apart, which leaves the gunpod falling out. I'm also fairly certain that nifty mechanism to retract the purple lenses in the shoulders will be the first thing to break when people stress the shoulders from posing. And as innovative as that folding neck cover is, holy cow would I just prefer a removable one. That thing added so many extra layers of complication. You can't open the hinged panels to manipulate the cover panels unless the arms are rotated back.. which means you can't lift the panels out of the battroid position until you fold the arms back, which won't work when the spine is in the way from still being in battroid mode. Then in the reverse direction, you can't pull the head out until the panels are raised, which means the arms can't fold forward while you can raise the head, which means the arms being folded backward gets in the way of raising the head. Seriously. Those panels get my vote for most astoundingly irritating feature on a valk in the past year.

Or call it "The Mummy 3" and don't bother to address the other one at all. Bonus points because "the other one" could be referring to either of two different movies.

@pengbuzzThats some very heavy news. Echoing what Thom said. Just being there for each other in this moment, the silence, the laughter and the tears. All of it. I wish you both the very best! ♥️♥️♥️

Has anyone got shipping confirmation from Nin-Nin Game for the SDF-1 reissue? If so, how much was shipping?

My heart goes to you and the Mrs, @pengbuzz. You and she have been through a lot, and I am so sorry you are still getting even more. But I believe in you both, and that you are both strong enough to get through this. Just try and be the best loving husband I am sure you have always been, as that is what she will need from you most of all. Thom

UPDATE: Not going to be posting for a while; two major health events just hit us back to back, and all our money just evaporated: 1) I was diagnosed with Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) earlier this week. I have liver damage and inflammation, and am not doing well (on top of everything else). 2) My wife was rushed to the ER earlier this week with extreme shortness of breath, hacking cough and chest pain; they did a CT scan and referred her to a Pulmonary Surgeon and an Oncologist. Today, she had a broncoscopy; she has Stage III lung cancer. I don't know when (or if) I'll be on; just wanted to let everyone know that I'm not ignoring folks. My heart is in my feet about now, and I've spent the past 2 hours crying. This just hurts. Signing off for now. See everyone around I guess...

For a long time I thought he was named after a country or island. It took a while for me to realize it was just Mini Godzilla

So.. the I finally got my copy delivered from AE.. yeah.. that's the absolute last time I deal with DHL. Period. Long, epic, and ridiculous tale there, but that's for another thread. Anyhow... I dunno what's wrong with all y'all's gunpods.
