I’m pretty sure there will be a second season more due to viewership than positive or negative feedback. I think it will end up like how all the hate watching got rings of power renewed. People really hated the show, but even though it wasn’t the best as far as viewership, that still was enough for them to keep it going despite the hate. I’m not saying they should try for another open ending, because I don’t think season two will have as many people watching

The VF-1 often had them gray, but not that dark

Not a bad price for fife of those kits. Pretty cool find

hah, didn't think it was coming out that quickly, but okay. I guess we'll probably watch it in theater if it's possible on christmas....we kind of do that as a tradition in my family while the christmas dinner is cooking.

I just double checked news outlets and pop culture related sites, there's still no announcement by FX if they'll produce a 2nd season. I'd say this is really up in the air. This series was more divisive than Romulus was. Hell I'd say the majority of us here on this thread have not necessarily a distain but very much a cringe for this series as it kept going....at first showing some promise then quickly dropping down to a frustrated level of dislike for it. The story just couldn't gain any decent pacing shifting to many different plot points that dealt more with weak drama and character development to possibly save money over visual effects and horror. If this series got a season 2, I would be some what surprised due to this being a Hulu tied in series, and that being discontinued here shortly leaving FX's future I think a lil uncertain.

Nope, they haven't. I checked. Checked again before writing this too just to see if there'd been any updates. Forbes, RottenTomatoes, Esquire, Entertainment Weekly, etc. all confirm that there has been no announcement or confirmation that a second season is in the works as recently as two days ago. Moreover, Noah Hawley himself has apparently indicated in several interviews (incl. Entertainment Weekly) that he is "in talks" with FX about the possibility of a second season but that there hasn't been any commitment from FX's side.

They still need to fix a few issues on it to be honest.

Was a little behind this week and finally got to the final episode of the season. It’s a pretty lame one since I kinda feel that we didn’t get much further than the episode before. We basically left off where we left off, but slightly worse. I till like the eye guy best. But I kinda hoped for more. I just watch it as a comedy and it really does help. Definitely can’t trust RT these days, but I at least enjoyed this show far more than Into Darkness and I really hate Rings of Power. He’s kinda the oddball character that doesn’t care what’s going on or is completely ignorant to all the horrors around him. He probably won’t even know the difference when the island gets taken over by Yutani and gets a new boss. He’ll just keep washing away I think they already announced it a few episodes back, like after the second or third episode, since I guess it has a pretty big audience. Not sure if that audience is loving the show or hate watching it or like me and just finding entertaining enough to want to see where things go

The brown is very Golgothan. Can’t wait to see it in full color and can’t wait for the rerelease of Dogma but seriously, that’s gonna add an interesting organic texture, especially since these things were armored with giant bug carapace chunks

As I said earlier, I want a slim VF-17 but this is just wrong. It would be the same if Bandai released the VF-19Kai by painting the YF-19 red and gave it a different head turret. It also doesn’t help that Frontier had a totally different animation style compared to 7. Because the Valkyries in Frontier were computer generated they had a lot more details than the ones in 7 ever did. Things like the details on the intakes, the additional surface detail on the back of the plane. Where do the micro missile launchers in the legs come from, where is the opening for the gunpod in the legs? The problem is that this is not realistic VF-17, it is a VF-171 cosplaying as a VF-17. I really want to like this, because it has all the markings Yamato omitted (and I had to apply myself) and it is a sleek fighter mode but I can’t. I think Bandai could have made something really cool, even reusing the "skeleton" (i.e. same transformation design, same joint engineering, same internal parts) of the VF-171 (which I don’t hate for the record). Bandai showed with the VF-19Kai that they can do it but this is just halfhearted. Maybe Bandai didn’t want to invest in such an extensive re-shell because they knew how bad the Yamato had sold and don’t want to commit to that. Poor Gamlin, just can’t get a leg up against Basara.

Super Macross Mecha Fun Time Discussion Thread!
Seto Kaiba replied to Valkyrie Driver's topic in Movies and TV Series
Found a fun little in-joke in Variable Fighter Master File: VF-0 Phoenix today... There's a one-page section sandwiched between the "Restored Phoenix" entry that talks about Shinsei Industry's efforts to restore and reverse-engineer some wrecked VF-0s that were found in storage in the ruins of Edwards AFB and the section that talks about the SV-51's development and ill-fated final engagement. It doesn't actually concern itself with the VF-0 or SV-51 directly. Rather, it's about a 2035 autobiography of Dr. Mao Nome. The first paragraph or two talk about how the New UN Government decided to keep the details of the Mayan Island incident and other related revelations from the public initially. In the immediate aftermath of the First Space War, the New UN Gov't was committed to trying to coexist with the Zentradi now living on Earth and was deeply concerned that releasing more information about the true state of the galaxy might cause a general panic among the Human population and undermine rebuilding efforts. So they decided to withhold most information about the state of the galaxy from the general public including information about the Supervision Army, the Protoculture, and the Mayan island incident. The restriction on that information is said to have been relaxed in 2040, when the New UN Gov't concluded the stability of post-war society was such that people could handle the truth without the risk of a societal breakdown. However, the 2035 autobiography of Dr. Mao Nome somehow got away with talking about her past and her direct experiences during the Unification Wars including the Bird human incident in 2008. This was apparently the general public's first exposure to the VF-0, the Asuka II, and details about what happened on Mayan in 2008. Apparently her autobiography was so well-received and so widely read that the publishers of Master File assume the in-universe reader will already be well aware of its contents, but notes that her autobiography's thought-provoking musings on the disasters of war and human love have seen it adapted into numerous books, comics, and films. ... now this is where the in-joke comes in. It's mentioned that, as of 2040, Dr. Nome is currently traveling with the 117th Large-Scale Research Fleet on a xenobiology expedition related to the Bird human. This apparently led to rumors that Hiroshi Onogi, a celebrated writer active since before the First Space War, was planning to publish a nonfiction book about the Mayan island incident. It's expected that it may take a decade or more before the work is completed, and that it is expected to be an authoritative history of those events. Hiroshi Onogi apparently didn't just write Macross Zero in the real world, he wrote the book that became the in-universe docu-drama of Macross Zero's events too! I guess that makes him the second or third Macross creator to have an in-universe cameo or equivalent. A caricature of Shoji Kawamori is among the airshow crowd in the first episode of Super Dimension Fortress Macross and is caricatured again as "George Yawamori" in Macross Frontier. An unseen character who designed the fanliner that was the prize in the Miss Macross contest (Ikki Takemi) has a name that's an anagram of Kazutaka Miyatake. And now Hiroshi Onogi apparently wrote Macross Zero twice. -
That YF-19 looks awesome, make a YF-19 reissue, Arcadia. 😭

It's a sad state of affairs, but I'm sure that's true. It's probably also something he'd prefer, if a licensor or related individuals have relations as pleasurable as we do with Bandai. Frankly, I'd assume our feelings are mostly the same at this point but for the direction of the money.

Same here, but only if we're talking about current products. I want the crossovers to continue because I love their creativity and I hope that eventually Hastak will surprise me and produce a product that better aligns with my design sensibilities and interests.- 17696 replies

Well I have absolutely zero interest in the MPG, Crossover stuff, or any of that. These collabs kind of suck in my opinion.- 17696 replies

What sucks is I bet something like $17-$18 of that $23 additional charge was probably DHL's processing fee. The tariff itself was probably like $5.

From the picture above, it sure looks like your copy is affected. The issue is that the shoulders are swapped. The back of the shoulder is what has the longer angled edge on the outside next to the 101. On the front, this same edge is shorter. The fronts of the shoulders in your pictures look like they have a long edge. If you look at the backs, they should have a short edge. If you swap the shoulders, the short edge will be in front. EDIT: Just checked my copy from a US store and it's 'affected' as well. But if this hadn't been posted, I never would have noticed. Doesn't appear to affect how snugly the arm tucks in in fighter mode. Maybe the shoulders are canted at a little more of an angle when they're tucked in? Again, not something I would have noticed.

I guess my Tread snuck in before they started doing that. Glad I got my second Legioss coming from Amazon US where I prepaid.

I just opened and transform mine VF27r received few days ago to see the shoulder but didn't find any wrong or did missed something?
