  1. Past hour
  2. Finally my local Micro Center opens next week. Now the question which GPU should I get. Is the rtx 5070 ti worth the price premium over the 9070 xt. I will being doing 1440p,. But that is only when I need a new monitor.
  3. It's pretty straightforward, really. It's the same principle as when a public figure or family member is revealed to have done something really heinous and unforgivable. It overshadows whatever else they might have done in the past, to the point that you can't really mention them without The Bad Thing coming up. In this case, whatever the sequel did is so awful that the knowledge the story or characters are going to lead to that overshadows what they do in earlier works. Like how people say the Star Wars sequel trilogy ruined Luke Skywalker, or Star Trek Picard ruined Jean-Luc. Same thing. I think Tron might be more susceptible to it than most, because the original was a fairly weak story wrapped around a cool concept and the sequels have relied heavily on nostalgia.
  4. I did a lot of the old Arii 1/100 fighters/gerwalks/battroids back in the late 80s/early 90s. Even back then as a young fellow, I was troubled by the differences in proportions between the modes. Nose cones being different shapes, chonky battroid legs compared to sleek fighter legs, etc.
  5. That would be a fun project case study. I have a few Hasegawa battroid kits in the stash. Maybe I turn one into a fighter? I like this idea. 👍
  6. Armor up to the shoulder is one thing. Armor up to the TOP of the shoulder is a little different. Anyways, I just know I like a battroid that looks like actual pieces of the fighter, and convincingly looks like it COULD turn back into a fighter if it wanted to. Some battroids are so changed and anime-ish that if you chopped up the pieces and re-assembled into a fighter, you just know it would look hilarious. With a stubby nose, tiny wings, etc.
  7. You should get a chance at seeing that "soon". This looks like a good finish to the series (and sadly my Netflix subscript along with it most likely - I've not watched much of anything on it the past few months)
  8. Today
  9. I really don't understand the idea that a sequel can make someone dislike the original. ( I was going to write more but that sentence really covers it all)
  10. Luckily I did not pre-order from AmiAmi, the reduction price now is good to get one.
  11. Or that Enterprise toy/model. I don't have that kind of free cash for any of them.
  12. Its an impressive unit, but for 68,820円 it would have been more prudent to release a complete Red Shoulder Custom for that price to make up for past deeds! And if I remember correctly the joints weren't the only issue on the 1.0 version... I think @jenius said that one of his feet broke as well!?
  13. Yeah, good to know the parts that broke all the time are improved, I also had my waist tabs break and there's no mention of making those heartier. The joints look like they all work the same though which means this won't compare well to the HMR.
  14. Dusk Beyond the End of the World was an onsen episode today. Yuugure is so cute.
  15. I really can’t spend that much on a toy, even though it’s kinda two toys in one. I also really don’t have that kind of space
  16. This is the best I can get it in both positions! Looks like the barrel sight bumps into the crotch piece when brought forward.
  17. Having forced my friend, who'd never see Tron, to watch both it and Legacy BEFORE we saw Ares, I can't blame Ares for killing any nostalgia I had for the original Tron. Like, as a kid, the Recognizers and Lightcycles were cool, and I know I spent an afternoon throwing frisbees at my brother after catching Tron on TV. But as much as I dig the Atari-era aesthetics and they way they imagined programs doing their thing like people doing jobs, the story was a plodding mess. So much time is wasted on the human characters, especially the implied love triangle between Flynn, Alan, and Nora, that add nothing to the plot. Watching Flynn in the games is cool, but then it's back to meandering. Find Tron, and use Alan's code to take down the MCP? Fine. But no, they gotta drag in Yori, and they gotta stop and talk to Dumont, and Tron has to die but come back later... it's just boring at times.
  18. From the studio that watched the first two season of Downton Abbey 😄
  19. Thanks for checking. Can the pivot work if the grip is slid rearwards, towards the butt? It looks like the barrel fin might just clear that black hump if so.
  20. Negative. But then again I bought these a while ago and kept extras for customs.
  21. $116 USD (not including extra stuff), March-May 2026
  22. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/megazone-23-garland-yamato https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/megazone-23-garland-yamato-1-15-parts Are those the parts you're looking for?
  23. Regarding the gunpod, the pivoting grip really doesn't do much as there's really no room for the gunpod to angle on that pivot...
  24. ThreeZero has released more information to their new 1/12 Scopedog 1.5 Saying that they have updated the joints! Honestly at the price they were asking this should have been done in the first place! And a lot of people probably aren't going to test if this thing will last like it should have, since they where already put off with the customer service on the 1.0 version! Anyone want to take it for a a new test drive at this price? Compared to the original 1/12 Scope Dog released in 2017, this Ver. 1.5 model features new paint finishes and upgraded joint structure. The shoulder ball joint and ankle joint have been upgraded to die-cast metal parts, and the shoulder joint socket has been redesigned for increased durability. Anyway good luck if you wan't to try it again! 😱 I for myself will gladly stick with the Hi-Metal R version where I haven't had a single issue on any of the ones that I unpacked! 🤗 P.S: Find it also kind of cheap that you can't mount any side armour-ments to this unit since the panels for that aren't removables! and a mounting hole is also not present, Bandai have added the removable panels to all of their units like the ATM-09-ST (SA) although it doesn't come with them, you can still remove the panels to mount them! Besides that the weathering is very impressive maybe someday Bandai will try this as well on a limited version!
  25. Received my copy today. First impressions, the shade of red is really pretty, and Bandai did it right going with a matte finish. Also like the blue'ish clear tint used for the canopy vs the gold on my Arcadia. Fighter mode rocks so far, but haven't had time to check out the other modes. Also of note, I used Fedex Priority to here in the states. It took 2 days shipped and there was supposed to be a tariff's subcharge but I lucked out somehow and didn't get dinged. I did ask for the package to be marked as a gift, so maybe that? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  26. Awesome collection. I'm jealous of the two convention figures. Looks like you have all of the figures. Any in particular that were hard for you to acquire? I had a good portion of wave 1 and 2 from over 20 years ago, but trying to go back and rebuy some and get the ones I as missing proved a bit tedious.
