They were on the area around the top of the head in the majority of designs, but this one only has them on top of the head. Like he’s a mutation or something or the designer here forgot how they’re supposed to be. as far as that spoiler, it’s unfortunately been spoiled in the thumbnails all over the place. I hadn’t even tried looking for info on this movie and people just have to throw it right up front as the header. Quote

I'm assuming, without explanation that they just wanted to make him different, as the hero-predator. And sorry someone (everyone) spoiled that for you, dude, At least I tried. Quote

That's the issue with exploring these things too in depth (which is to say, almost in any depth at all). The mystique breaks down almost instantly and they stop being the fearsome movie monsters they're supposed to be. Which, again, isn't exactly a BAD thing to do... It just isn't specifically what I want from a Predator movie. As for Dek, I didn't think much about it. I figured they just wanted a unique look. 1 hour ago, Big s said: I kinda gave up on most of the spoilers this weekend after seeing way too many without even clicking on the thumbnails Weirdly, I have the opposite problem of basically seeing zero videos on my feed at all, spoilers or otherwise. Bolt Posted Thursday at 04:16 AM Posted Thursday at 04:16 AM Just watched it on the big screen with my son. We both liked it. I don't mind a different take on this Yautja clan , personally. I'm looking forward to another installment. Quote
jvmacross Posted Thursday at 04:28 AM Posted Thursday at 04:28 AM Just came out of an IMAX showing....was a fun movie start to finish.... Spoiler Maybe I was reading too much into it, but did it seem that humans seemed to be thoroughly aware of the Predator species at this point in the Aliens-Predator timeline? Quote

Spoiler Yes, i believe. At least Mu-Th-Er does. So that would certainly imply the top humans of Weyland Yutani do also . Quote

Personally, if the species/character is going to be reused, esp to the amount the Alien and Predators are, then they need to get more in-depth on them. Being used once better allows the mystique to endure, but if they are going to be used a lot, then that 'unknown danger' still tends to wane, for me anyway. Quote

They should make a movie about the Weyland-Yutani merger, it'll have political intrigue and androids and aliens and predators!! Quote

Bolt Posted Friday at 04:29 PM Posted Friday at 04:29 PM I was very curious, during the movie, to try and figure out the timeline this story falls into. I couldn't help but wonder if it was right before Aliens Earth. Quote

Dan Trachtenberg has stated that Predator: Badlands is intended as a far-future scenario, closer to the Alien: Resurrection setting than any of the other films in the franchise(s). Quote

Duke Togo Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I'm in a weird place with this movie. It was both good, but also not what I wanted out of a Predator film. There's room for this, though. I was just hoping after Prey we'd get more like that. Quote
