Yeah....the image/video posts out of HK are slim to none as well....maybe it was a very limited batch that got released....I think KC had posted that it was just for the initial buyers of the PO for the Regult w/gluu-gers...the "Adam" fig with the Metallic paint...the waiting continues.... grundee Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Looks like if you ordered from BBTS you will be getting the figure. Quote
sh9000 Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Lucky. I haven't received my Zentraedi figure or 1/12 Max. Quote

PNW_Sweetie Posted July 2 Posted July 2 My Glu-ger shipped from BBTS this morning. I paid $4.39 for shipping and that was it. Quote
jenius Posted July 2 Posted July 2 It went from being lame if you bought from BBTS to being great as I haven't heard a peep about my pilot figure Quote
jvmacross Posted July 2 Posted July 2 (edited) Yeah, it does come off as a slap in the face for those directly supporting KC....I sent them an email about this and when their "loyal" fans can expect to receive their figures....so far crickets.... I understand their predicament, but wouldn't this shipment incur an import tax for BBTS?...unless they were shipped before the whole tariff mess? I'm curious, has anyone had anything shipped post tarrif crackdown from China? If so, were you assessed any import taxes and were they equal to the current tarrifs in place for China? Chronocidal Posted July 2 Posted July 2 I've had a couple of orders from ShowZ for transformers things that arrived with no issue other than a longer than usual delay in port, but they did announce that they would be covering the costs for orders that were paid before the price changes. They said that their prices for air shipping would go up to cover the changes, but that it shouldn't impact surface shipments. Quote

Are you saying ShowZ "pre-paid" the import tax upon shipping the item to you? Quote

I think that's probably what happened, I didn't see any notes or paperwork regarding any charges incurred. I'm thinking they just ate the cost for people who had already paid shipping to avoid irritating their customers. Quote
jenius Posted July 3 Posted July 3 Hong Kong is different China (at least, outside of China) and HK seems to have taken the tariff situation much worse. That might be why ShowZ just bumped up shipping fees while KC is struggling to find an option. Quote
jvmacross Posted July 3 Posted July 3 Seems like KC found an option to get their "Adam" figures shipped to BBTS customers.....if KC ate the import tax for that shipment it doesn't really sit well with me as an early supporter/purchaser of their Regult w/pilot PO, oh well....maybe he used some of the kickstarter funds to cover the import taxes for the BBTS shipment........would be curious to know exactly how many were in that BBTS shipment... Black Valkyrie Posted July 3 Posted July 3 VF-1A CF is on sale @ BBS , I don`t know, how is the QC cuz if its good I might get it. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/193231 Thanks. Quote

In short....there is a very high probability that it will have some sort of QC issue... Could be incorrectly installed parts, loose or broken parts, misaligned parts, parts that are hard to move....and other issues... Since you are ordering from BBTS, you can at minimum get another one....at best, walk away with a refund.... Which, in hindsight, means that ordering via BBTS was probably the best choice when it came to KC Macross toys... If you have some time, just go through the thread....there has been plenty posted about KC'S QC... Edited July 3 by jvmacross Quote

Based on the available "Adam" figs on ebay....it seems to indicate that the import taxes can be covered by the shipper/seller at the time of shipping.... https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=Kitz+Concept+pilot&_trksid=p4432023.m4084.l1312&_sacat=0 When you expand on the price details....there is a description from ebay that states.... ******"This item includes applicable import fees...you won't pay anything extra after shipping"********** So it seems maybe KC just doesn't want to cover the import tax for US buyers who purchased directly off their site?....pretty dissapointing...but I guess to them dissapointing the group that has already been waiting the longest is less of a risk than dissapointing what is probably their biggest US retailer.... *****actually, this message appears when browsing via the ebay app*********** The same auction viewed on the ebay website says "International shipment of items may be subject to customs processing and additional charges" Can't be certain which is accurate...if anyone here finds out, let us know... PNW_Sweetie Posted July 8 Posted July 8 (edited) My Glu-ger from BBTS arrived this morning. Very happy with the figure. You have to smash him in a bit, but he fits. The accessories are great also. Edited July 8 by PNW_Sweetie Quote

jvmacross Posted Thursday at 08:25 PM Posted Thursday at 08:25 PM Sadly, not one mention of the Galactus-sized elephant in the room...I suppose if you are not in the US or ordered directly from BBTS this "update" is something... Quote
