Since it will be a good year until season 5 of THE BEAR, we stretched it out and finally finished season 4 last night.

I loved everything about this season; the Wedding episode was top tier, and the acting & script did not disappoint IMO throughout the season. But of the all the scenes that brought a tear to my eye for sure, and I swear I even clapped, was when Carmy was in his old room and you could clearly see a copy of Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain on his nightstand... pure perfection.

New Samurai Warriors teaser

Seems they’re really hoping this will bring new fans, Bandai is adding the main character to their 30 minute missions line of kitsIMG_3437.jpeg.172b124edfcb340ccba604926117555e.jpeghas removable armor and doesn’t look too bad so far, but I’d hope they eventually do the og samurai troopers/ronin warriors as well

My wife and I have been binging Orphan Black on Netflix this week and we finished it this evening. We enjoyed it immensely. Huge kudos to Tatania Maslany for pulling off one of the best multiple character portrayals I've ever seen, not to mention all the folks who made her concurrent appearances in scenes look seamless. Just a damn good show overall.

Watched the first S4 episode last night and the end sequence with Tangerine Dream's energetic track from Michael Mann's "The Thief" already blew my mind.

The Woman in the Wall,

Watched this on my weekend. Good murder mystery starring Ruth Wilson as a survivor of one of the Magdalene laundries is Ireland. Murder, sleuthing and sleepwalking ensue. Real good performances by just about the entire cast. My one wish is that there had been a supernatural element to it. Would have loved to have had a vengeful spirit lurking in the shadows.

What Roland Emmerich couldn't do in 2012 (a series that continued the events of the film)
LionsGate goes and does it

I hated the first one, but I’m curious to see how the kid survives without insulin

Of Man and Monster

This is the Frankenstein that I’m looking forward to. Odd that there seems to be a few upcoming including a weird Bonnie and Clyde version

The production design of Frankenstein is awesome in the still photos I saw and the cast is great, but the trailer looks terribly flat from the digital cinematography IMO.

Finally got around to Black Rabbit on Netflix. It’s one of those out of order stories. It stars Jude Law and Jason Bateman as brothers where Law’s character seems at first to be the more on the straight and narrow while Bateman is nothing but trouble…..big trouble. Just about every character is in over their heads with ambition or relationship issues and it makes for a bit of a high stress show, definitely entertaining and luckily just a limited series, so everything gets tied up in the end.

This is what I meant:
