That are some wild seams to clean up 😅

@Papa Rat

Actually not that bad in the way of seems. Halves split horizontally, the most seem work was with the sides of the nose. The wings closed up pretty good. With the 'pontoons' over the wings, they were pretty gappy in real life, esp near the rear, and I won't be doing any sanding, but just using a wet q-tip to hydrate and wipe off excess.

All in all, the fit is alright. The one spot that I would work on more before the wings went together would be the wing fences. But I am liking this one.

I think Electric Indigo mentioned seams. I was thinking about the larger gaps by the wing area. Anyway, thanks for the info. 👍

...the larger gaps by the wing area....

Where the leading edge of the wing meets up with the closer 'pontoon,' which is actually extra fuel and anionic housing? There is a hole there, but that is for a part that has not been added yet.

Yeah… Hahaha. I see, that makes way more sense.

Look at all that beautiful detail.

The pearlescent white makes the building appear ethereal.

Wow.

I agree. These smaller 1:144 scale Volks kits have plenty of nice detail. They really pop once you hit it with a panel wash.
That pearly semi transparent plastic is really nice. I wish it was slightly more transparent so the frame colors would show a little more but I’m still loving it. Ethereal is a great description and I hope I do it justice. I just need to stick the landing. Fingers crossed. 😊

It’s looking great so far, can’t wait to see it all together

Post pumpkin pie final touches. Don’t mind the table cloth. Lol

Was so excited to share. 1:144 LED Mirage V3. Will try for a better natural light pic in the morning.

Nice! I have a couple of these as well, but the big ones I am turned off from doing because of the odd shapes, such as with Breetai's ship. Did get a couple of the smaller ones a short while ago though.

@tekering A happy client is a paying client! Not having read the story, it's looks really good.

@tekering I live in the PNW and see cars that beat up daily. No huge claw marks but definitely random panel colors and tons of rust. I think it’s looking great!

Oh, and thanks for the kind words ✌️The panel lines on this are so shallow so cleanup on those was a little hairy. Also the decals went down better than anticipated. I get so nervous applying them. Definitely a something I need practice with.

@Thom yeah this is my second ARII ship in the fleet. The sculpts on these are laughable and if you squint really hard they look great! Hahaha. Besides that I think the tiny SDF-1 that comes packed with it is the best part.
