Tochiro Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 This pic was taken by a Macross fan on twitter today - he spotted a car with some small Macross Frontier decals.
Murphy Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I was out running errands and i spotted this on a car, sorry for the quality I was driving and taking a picx at the sametime
miles316 Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Mingmei? That had me going until I saw the union logo.
s001 Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 lots of transformers can do that Yeah but starscream is a plane too and manage to look good.
regult Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 It's not the "weirdest" of places, but I was a bit offended by the Robotech reference. http://gizmodo.com/5892971/this-may-be-the-coolest-night-landing-scene-in-the-history-of-aviation
UN Spacy Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 It's not the "weirdest" of places, but I was a bit offended by the Robotech reference. http://gizmodo.com/5...ory-of-aviation He almost got it right.
nanoplasm Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 I was out running errands and i spotted this on a car, sorry for the quality I was driving and taking a picx at the sametime SF'ers are damn cool
frothymug Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 I just realized that decal probably indicates the 'family unit'... a play on the stickers you usually find on the back of minivans and SUVs showing mom, dad, and kids... Very creative!
pfunk Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 I just realized that decal probably indicates the 'family unit'... a play on the stickers you usually find on the back of minivans and SUVs showing mom, dad, and kids... Very creative! Yup, thats killer, mine would have the Q-rau "taken out" and smoking on the other side of the window, heh
Tochiro Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Came across some Itano love in this weeks issue of Famitsu today, along with a tiny pic of DYRL. Itano worked on the story boards for the game Asura's Wrath which is why he was interviewed.
Murphy Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 SF'ers are damn cool Actually that was taken in Los Angeles, I moved back here from SF a couple of months ago. I guess i should change my location. funny thing, a girl was driving that car i almost hit her in my disbelief not paying attention to the road.
reddsun1 Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 (edited) He almost got it right. Indeed, almost. Well, the Harrier is roughly the same size as a VF... ed: I dunno--the VF looks bigger than that proportionately, to me Edited April 2, 2012 by reddsun1
anime52k8 Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 animation is never an accurate source of scale. Officialy, the VF-1 has a length of 14.23 meters; the AV-8B harrier is 14.5 meters.
frothymug Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 After looking into this one, it appears that this is a game called "Tech Romancer" and it uses mecha designed by Studio Nue. I see some blurbs that this "Rafaga" was actually designed by SK for this game.
Beltane70 Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 There was actually a thread about this a few years back. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=7202
Reïvaj Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 It was also discussed here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=5140&hl=rafaga SK did design this “Rafaga” for the game. Have you noticed the font style they’ve used for “Strategic Variable Fighter”?
VF5SS Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Yeah the back of the box on the US release says something to the effect of "Designs by Robotech artist" :v
Reïvaj Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 I guess I’ll never get used to regarding SK as a Robotech artist…
EXO Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 That's not the same font as Robotech. It's just another generic font used by old school "techno" properties inspired by Tron.
Reïvaj Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 It doesn't need to be the same, it's similar enough
Tochiro Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 While its not for a Macross game per se, it's still nice to see Basara representing on the charts in this weeks Famitsu.
