    I highly recommend Venus Wars. Its a great scifi film that actually manages to put together a solid story with a pretty good ending, something that didn't happen that often in anime films from back then.

    That's why I think 3.33 was the end and there won't be another film. He sure is trolling domestic fans with the third one by blocking Funimation's release citing inaccurate dubs and choosing to redo them himself.

    Given the fact we got guys running around with flame thrower guitars, and monster trucks it makes me wonder if this bad guy isn't some sort of gas hoarding baron, and that maybe that isn't water being dumped on the larg crowd of people in the trailer.

    I wholeheartedly agree and that's why I never bought anything from the site. Its just that ever since that announcement there's been so much butt hurt on most of the anime forums I visit. This site has been relatively tame in that regard which I chalk up to the mods doing a good job for the most part. I like the generally civil atmosphere here and not everyone be at each others throats.

    So this movie was supposed to make me think? The only thing I was thinking throughout this film was Well that's pretty much my thoughts on things although I am interested in reading others reactions and discussing things. Overall rating: D+

    Well I'm getting ready to go see this absolutely blind knowing nothing about it. All I hope for is please don't be preachy or try to shove an evironmental or humanity is eeeeeeeevvvillll message down my throat.

    Lucas screwing up goes back further than that. Remember the two made for tv live action Ewok movies? The first one is a heart warming tale of a brother and sister stranded on Endor who end up reuniting with their parents with the aid of the Ewoks. The second one saw the entire family brutually killed by marauders except for the girl five minutes in. Why? Because one of Lucas' kids was obsessed with Heidi at the time so he forced an extensive rewrite introducing the young girl grandpa dynamic onto the film.EDIT: Seriously imagine watching as a little kid after the first one!     Bane was created well after Episode I was out and more or less exists as a giant retcon so what Yoda said would make sense. Too bad the novel was poorly written turd that contradicted previous material and introduced things out of chronological order. That's pretty much a hallmark of the EU under Del Rey books. They claimed a mission statement of a tighter continuity and failed miserably. It also didn't help Lucas Screwed the entire New Jedi Order story arc up because he assumed we were too stupid to tell the difference between Anakin Skywalker and his grandson Anakin Solo.

    The Sith Empire during the time of Bane wasn't crumbling, they were actually winning the war against the old republic and the Jedi. Bane came along and essentially goes: "I'm a power hungry idiot so I'm going to screw the Sith empire so I can make the rule of two to maybe one day some decendant may have a shot at ruling the galaxy. Nevermind the fact if I just aid the Sith now to kill all the jedi I could probly just overthrow the Sith lords and sieze power in my own time."

    I think he's refering to the Xbox360 sequel, and how they tried to use the kinect to replace the giant console. The sensor was so inaccurate and clunky it made the game unplayable.

    The Star Wars Droids cartoon blew that out of the water long ago. The basic explaination under the old canon was that the A-wing is the successor to the Spearhead fighter that was in Droids with more advanced engines.

    I was doing that for Duke Togo's benefit so he could relate. Lets face it if I mentioned anything to do with the novels or expanded universe he would immediately claim they're garbage.

    Basically what most of use hoped for was a Rogue Squadron film aka Top Gun/Iron Eagle in space. What we are getting instead is a story that has basically been done at least 4 different times between the video games, books, and comics.
