Same. Exactly. Plus, I was hoping a 1/60 version would be a viable option for me. ...excited and can't wait too that I rummaged through my old stuff that's stored away to find my CMs Ishtar
-
That looks awesome! Found a good use for one of my unused Riobot stands... as a flight stand to display Springer in helo mode.

IMO, Arcadia should be able to release updated versions of their valks by now, like the VF-1 and VF-11 mentioned above, with better articulation and gimmicks. Reissuing the VF-11 as it is is like Bandai re-releasing a 20+ year old SOC without any improvements, just a different paint scheme and selling it for double the original price. Plus all releases should have sufficient markings without having to make them "Premium Finish" versions that come at a premium price. The other smaller companies that are making macross/robotech/mospeada products are already doing this and not pricing their stuff astronomically, like what Arcadia is doing... and include a display stand, please.

Changed up my MacZero display a little bit. I'm really glad Bandai included stands with these and made them this dark brownish color, so any discoloration that might occur in the future won't be noticeable. The decals are a great touch too. I've sworn off buying any more of those overpriced clear tamashii stands after my old Stage Act 2 set eventually yellowed over time. Plus the connection between those tubular stand arms and the joints becomes loose over time and use. I did need to mod the battroid stand connector so I could mount the VF-0A on the sturdier main stand arm and get it that low and angled... plus I really don't like having to use the fighter mode wings and spread them open so they don't hit the stand arm.

HMR battroids are more fun to pose than the 1/60s. It's odd that the battroid stand connector for the HMR VF-0 has a peg instead of a hole like with the fighter and gerwalk connectors. I had to clip off the peg and drill a hole and then use a Figma adapter for this to work.

I'm jealous... still no sign of my threezero VF-1S arriving locally. I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Finally secured my preorders for the Riobot Tread and 2 x Legioss ETA reissue from a local shop. Seeing as the preorder deadline is until Mar. 6, I wasn't in too much of a hurry. Came out to around $625 for the 3 with a $75 downpayment. This is gonna be a long wait...

Thanks. Really loving the VF-4. Still have an extra one sealed... thinking about whether to keep it and display in Gerwalk mode which always reminds me of the original sketch. But my main motivation to display it in a flying pose in battroid is to be able to use the stand with Misa and Minmay on it. Tweaked it a little bit so it's mounted higher on the stand and more centered to the position of the 1/60.

Very nice Saber and Alita figures. Would love to have an Alita (live action) in 1/12 scale. just received my Takara Springer to go along with its identical Hasbro twin... so I'd have another one to transform and display in alt mode/s.- 893 replies

Only way I can see this happening is if Bandai decides to produce a new show (Mospeada: Frontier ???) and believe they can market their merch during its run. But then the characters and story would probably end up more like Delta than the original or even the genesis breakers side story.

After being in GERWALK mode for the past few months, I finally transformed my HMR VF-4 to permanently be displayed in battroid with the 1/60.

Which part? The movies or the losing interest in Macross? For me it's the latter. I only got sucked back in by the Mac0 HMRs and the reissues by Bandai. Buying new Macross merch made me want to rewatch the various Macross series (Mac+, Mac0, DYRL, Flashback, and I'm currently slow watching MacF. I'll try to rewatch Mac2 when I get the HMR VF-2SS reissue)... except Delta .

I'd bet on threezero beating arcadia to it. I really regret selling the one I bought for cheap in HK long ago.

I keep staring at Max's face sculpt and comparing it to the face sculpts of Hikaru 1.0 and 2.0 and I feel like KC took a step backwards and used the more cartoonish features (eyes, nose and mouth) of flight suit Hikaru instead of the updated face sculpt.

Finally lucked out and found one of these for a good price. Didn't really want to pay full retail just for an accessory pack. Just really wanted the gatling gun.- 893 replies

I thought I would be more excited to finally have a not ver. 1 Armored 25S in my collection after pining for it all these years. The valk I just couldn't get at a reasonable price and got me so pissed off at Bandai's shenanigans that I decided to quit collecting all those years ago. I am glad to finally tick one more box and happy that my copy doesn't have any qc issues, but I may need to rewatch the first part of MacF to get more excited about this.

Don't forget HMR VF-25s. It's been a while since the crappy VF100s (used to have the armored alto)... about time to use what they've learned from refining the HMR line and renewal-ing and then revival-ing the DX chogokins.
-
Been waiting for this reissue. Glad I didn't bite on any of the ones I saw on the secondary market.
-
It's out. Nice. But proly gonna arrive at my local distributor in January. Pictures here will have to do in the meantime. I'm liking the head sculpt too.
-
Same here. 4 VF-0 HMRs fit in the same space as a single 1/60. And agree with @Chronocidal that Arcadia valks are ridiculously high priced (IMO). Not the way to recoup what they lost as Yamato.
-
What would really be great is, if someone would invent something that permanently restores yellowed plastic.
-
Could possibly be related to this being a TWE. It's possible that regular retail DX Chogokins are being assembled in a factory with crap QC while the TWE factory has (slightly) better QC.
-
Got rid of my 25G revival without even opening it after preordering the 25S, which is the only one I really wanted. But IIRC from early reviews, the reason it sold badly was because it was a floppy mess right out of the box. Poor QC?

What Graham said... as far as I can recall, pretty much all the shops were legit.

Man, I miss toy shopping in HK (Kowloon side)... hopping from building to building, every floor filled with toy shops right next to each other with almost everything one could want. You can even compare prices and haggle, and buy from the cheapest seller. Used to go there once a year in the mid to late aughts to combine vacationing and toy hunting and bring home 1 to 2 "repatriate boxes" filled with toys. The good ol' days.
