  1. Hi all, this might be a stupid question, but is there another adapter for the Yamato Stand that I need to display a VF-22S Gamlin in Battroid mode other than the one that comes with it for that mode? I can see that the one that is used for Fighter/Gerwalk mode has the end that fits into the slot on the stand, but the adapter that is used for Battroid mode doesn't look like it will fit into the stand's slot without another piece.
  2. Hey Mar, sorry I've missed all the meets so far. Would definitely like to make this one. I think another MW member (vf2ss) would like to attend. --Angel(sidearmsalpha)
  3. Managed to pick these up on eBay a few weeks ago for $380 for the pair. Perplexed me that no one had bid against me. A few things I had ordered from HLJ sale got backordered, such as the GN-U VF-1J Hikaru and VF-1A Production Type. What are the chances HLJ can restock them? Seems like these items would have been sold out of their initial runs since they have been out for quite awhile.
  4. Still haven't opened the set I got, but the pics of it look nice. It's disappointing that I could only get one. I wanted a squad of these to go with the Fan Racer. Would rather have more of this true version than the easily-obtainable 1/48 version with the wrong VF-1A head. Anyone got plans to make the Angelbirds stickers/decals for the legs? Oh, forgot to thank you for making it possible to get this.
  5. Do the feet/thrusters collapse inward on this 1/100 like they do on the Yamato 1/48 and V.2 1/60?
  6. Wow! Impressive collections, guys! Hope to have a room I can display all my stuff someday which is currently in storage. Never knew GBP stood for Grenade Box Protector. Learn something new everyday. I had an ex-gf tell me I had too much stuff, but then again, she was too stubborn to realize she was nitpicking about something that gives me a lot of enjoyment when I could be a major loser like the last guy she was with. My family doesn't razz me about my collecting. They don't understand it, but they realize it's something that I really like. As long as I'm not putting myself in debt, they don't care I guess. Even if it takes awhile, I'm not going to settle for a woman who has issues with my stuff either. I know I'm a geek, and I'd rather hook up with a chick who is as much of a geek or collector as I am if not a little moreso as long as it's not detrimental to our relationship.
  7. Hi all, I know it's been discussed somewhere in the forums, but what was the best way to remove the flaking film on the inside of the 1/60 VF-1 Ver. 2 canopies?
  8. Sorry to get off-topic, but I've been looking to oomplete my MP Seeker set, but Thundercracker is just going for too much now. Any word from Hasbro about whether this guy will be making his way stateside? I'm worried that Hasbro may not bring him over here if sales on Skywarp weren't good enough. Skywarp just seems to be all over eBay. I'm wondering if Hasbro produced more Skywarps than Starscreams for Walmart or if Skywarp just isn't nearly as in demand as Starscream.
  9. I just want to get the version without the armor because of the TV Roy pilot. I already have the Super VF-1J Hikaru, but plan on getting the GBP armor for that, so the pilot and Super Armor are a non-issue. I figure I could swap out the TV Roy for TV Hikaru and add the Super Parts just to change things up someday. I haven't been following the thread closely, but is Hikaru's name tampo-printed onto the Hikaru version? I guess if it is, I would have to get that version at some point then. Are there any other differences between the Roy and Hikaru versions?
  10. Maiden Japan, What are the chances we'll see a Regult Scout? Is that too different than the others to milk the mold?
  11. Regarding the peg, I broke one on a VF-1A Hikaru by dislodging the leg improperly or with too much force, I guess. You really have to be careful when detaching the legs. Never had this happen (or anything break) on a 1/48 and I was rougher with those.
  12. I still like the head better in fighter mode on the Ver.1 because of the white collar it has.
  13. I have a oouple of Mirias and one Max. I was hoping that I could have one of the Miria's repainted to look like a tv version Rau. Off-topic, what color were the cannon-fodder Raus in the movie? If they weren't red or blue, Yamato could have milked the mold again along with repainting the Miria pilot figure.
  14. Meh...I personally prefer the original Nick Fury. What's with Marvel reinventing their characters by changing their ethnicities? Lame.
  15. I've been holding off on picking up the GN-U VF-1's. They are too pricey. I picked up the Macross Plus ones paying about $100 for all three when they were first released. Now, they can be picked up for about $20 apiece. That's what they really are worth. I'm sure the same will happen with the VF-1's
  16. I'm passing on these new, lighter versions. I picked up a decent quantity of the older ones in the 3 different rod lengths. I really didn't mind paying a few extra bucks for the solid base. I wish they would offer both types.
  17. Picked up the book yesterday. Haven't had a chance to read it yet. Looks fantastic though.
  18. Would have been extremely cool to see them go as far as making the TV style HUD, too. Oh well. At least they finally got the Roy pilot figure in there.
  19. I would have stopped collecting these if it wasn't for Yamato, and most importantly Graham, for making it possible to get replacements without spending an arm and a leg. I had 5 various early releases with cracked hinges. If you have an early release and haven't had problems yet, that's great, but the potential is still there for cracks down the road.
  20. This is the only DX Macross F Valkyrie I own, so I'm not too familar with them. That stand that you are using for the Fighter mode...is that a standalone stand put out by Bandai, where did you get it, and is it designed for the DX's, or is it a model kit stand that you adapted for use with the VF-27?
  21. GOT REGULT?!?!?! Here's some Regult love for all of you courtesy of Bandai, Kaiyodo, Toynami, K&M, Tomy, and I forget who put out the Macross pencil sharpener sets. I know it would have been much cooler to take out the Revy's and Toynamis, but I'm in the process of packing alot of my stuff to go back into storage for now. Enjoy!
  22. Hey all, sorry to get off topic on this thread, but for those of you guys that store your Valks long-term do you have problems with moisture rusting metal parts, like screws? A few years ago, I had all my loose 1/55's in a box with packing peanuts, but the screws got rusted the first winter they were in a storage unit I have at a Public Storage facility. I have had a storage unit for a few years now, but I can't afford one of the nicer ones that are climate-controlled, so I have to deal with moisture building up on my stuff during the winter months. Do any of you use those silica packets in your boxes/containers to deal with this problem, and does that work well?
  23. Can anyone confirm this, but I could have sworn I saw her in a commercial for some type of bank a few months ago.
