  1. yeah, but some do it in ways that are unobtrusive and don't feel unreasonable within the context of the game, others do it in ways that feel arbitrary and forced. Things like having to walk in a big old circle that takes forever just to turn 180 degrees for no other reason than that's how the game was designed fall into the second category.
  2. I already ordered several expensive thing for December and January...
  3. you know, I get it when manufacturers make multiple versions of the same character all at once, because certain characters will periodically get hot all of a sudden and there will be plenty of room to fill with different sculpts. What I will never be able to wrap my head around is when two figure makers do two figures of the same character IN THE EXACT SAME OUTFIT AND POSE. http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-005547 http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-005545 So Max factory announced a damaged Kongo, then immediately after, Movic announces THE EXACT SAME FIGURE. Same character, same pose, same facial expression, just about the same price tag; the only differences appear to be that the Movic version is slightly larger and while the Max Factory one looks absolutely gorgeous, the Movic version looks like a figure released 5 years ago when it still would have looked poorly painted and sculpted. What is this I don't even...
  4. yeah, I'm getting it, she has really nice curves and body lines, but the face is just so adorable and perfect, and so are the faces on the Rensouhou-chans. You make the other one sound like a Megahouse release. For the longest time I could never explain what I didn't like about megahouse but I finally get it. 90% of their releases look like they were sculpted and painted by robots, really skillful robots that do crisp sculpts and high quality paint jobs, but robots that lack the ability to translate emotion and liveliness into their figures. It's what sells. When I first got into figures, there where certainly a lot fewer sexy figures and the degree of explicitness you saw in "ero" figures was a lot lower, but even then the stuff that was the most popular and demanded the most money were always the most sexy and explicit. It only makes sense that makers are pumping out more of what people are buying up the most.
  5. what does it say about gundam where the sexiest characters are aparently a dude in a dress and one of the protagonist's mom.
  6. Maybe it's having a hard time finding a good shawarma place.
  7. Kurisama made a set of glue on hardpoints based on the Yamato VF-1 design. if you want to fit extra YF-19 weapons, they'd probably work. http://www.shapeways.com/model/625101/set-of-12-6l-6r-hard-points-for-1-60-wings.html?materialId=62
  8. it would also need hundreds of pouches that are too small to actually hold anything of use.
  9. He already made that second one happen.
  10. I was searching for something on google. and I found a whole thread of this kind of stuff on a palladium RPG forum.
  11. I have a more general question about Paladium Robotech RPGs; what the hell is this? I mean seriously?
  12. 1. Bandai probably thought the same thing and didn't make a huge number of them 2. It's just that awesome of a design.
  13. you know what makes the option pack worth it? buying multiple the option pack gives you just the right amount of stuff to kit out 3 leo's really well. (I need to get a third green leo btw, I've got the one regular and one flight type. the flight type is awesome).
  14. you're not helping. I kind of leaning towards the Ques Q version, she's so cute.
  15. question: which of these two looks better? http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-006118 1/8th scale, Ques Q, 12,100YEN on HLJ http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-004938 1/8th scale, GSC, 13,700YEN on HLJ
  16. oh yeah, MGs, HGs, PGs, BB senshi, they do it all, they even make knock off plastic kits of resin kits.
  17. that's one thing I don't like about it is the hands. I would rather see hands like bandai Uses on their DX-25's (big ball joint in the wrist and chunkier palms/fingers.
  18. Ami-Ami finally shipped mine. so excited... ^_^
  19. I just can't get past the way that the front end looks like it has a fu manchu. it's one of those thing where once you see it, you can never un-see it.
  20. I think it's a big part personal tastes. I don't find ghosts scary, I don't understand the appeal of most Japanese horror films.
  21. I just think the whole, "your completely defenseless because, apparently, all of your limbs are broken as that's the only reasonable to explain why you can barely walk and you can't even raise your arms to a threat; so something totally nonthreatening like a creaky floorboard or a slow moving homeless man are life threatening cosmic horrors" approach to horror game design is dated and lame.
  22. Saddling you with arbitrary handycaps to artificially increase tension does not make for good gameplay or a legitimately fun/scary game IMO.
  23. just buy all of them, you know you want to
