    I absolutely despised the first movie. About the only thing they got right was the Baroness' ass. But as a fan of the old Marvel comics GI Joe run, let me count the ways this new trailer has me intrigued: No accelerator suits; Cobra Commander sporting his classic chrome faceplate look (and not that weird breathmask or glass facemask thingie); Less science fiction-y elements, less techie weapons, and more good old fashioned BULLETS (ain't nothing wrong with science fiction, just not in a more military,action-based series like GI Joe); More ninja action; The new production crew took the only interesting plot point from the first movie (Zartan disguised as the President) and went full bore with it (Cobra flags draping the White House ); and Better nods/homages for the old-school fans (Roadblock--and NOT Heavy Duty--rocking the Ma Deuce, Jinx fighting with a blindfold on). It looks like the NEW production crew has a better understanding of what endears GI Joe to us old fans. Really, that's all you want from a movie adaptation: that the people behind the camera show enough love and respect to the original source material. Granted, the movie may still suck ass. But at least, this trailer seems a lot more promising.

    That is freakin' awesome!! And to those co-workers of mine who just had to come into work dog-sick (instead of just TELEWORKING or, oh I don't know, staying the hell home), thanks for contributing to me and the kids getting sick! . . . Yeah, I'm gonna need to some Yoshinol to clear up the old sinuses.

    As far as I can tell, it hasn't aired here on the east side of the Pacific. I think last week's ep was a repeat of the Krell arc. Maybe they're on break for the holidays.

    After the awesomeness that was the Krell arc (save for the whole bad guy reveal bit), anyone else feel like this whole slave arc feels like a "very special" episode of the Clone Wars. Yeah, we get it: the slavers are bad.

    Krell's an idiot. He doesn't mind going through clones like toilet paper. And yet, he can't afford to risk three clone troopers' lives on a sneak attack? What? Three clones are gonna make the difference in them capturing the capital? Now he's just being a stubborn ass. Can't wait to see how this guy bites it in the end.

    You sir have some massive stones! Curious though, were you able to incorporate the missiles that fire out of the chest area? Overall though, very nice work!

    So, I finally caved and purchased a Bastila Shan off of Ebay. Between kids and work, I wasn't gonna be one of the first people there when the stores opened up. But before I continue, I gotta say "thanks" to David Hingtgen for the following post: Because of it, I became super anal-retentive about making sure I customized Bastila to be as video-game accurate in color as possible! Here's my results (apologies for the flash shot): What's crazy is that the pink portions actually look orange in certain lighting:

    After a bunch of missteps and "meh" episodes this past season or two, I gotta admit that this week's ep ("Broadway Bro Down") was an awesome return to form for the series. Freakin' brilliant!

    Graham will be most please with this ep. Now that I know that General Krell is one of those four-armed aliens, it kinda, sorta makes sense why he'd be dual-wielding two double-bladed sabers (other than the "kewl" factor). Also, I'm almost certain one of those 501st clones, after seeing Krell's demeanor, was thinking (with a Kiwi-accent): "What I wouldn't give to initiate Order 66 on that sorry fool's ass!" Very promising start to the four-parter!

    Something nobody else has. (Well, technically, the stickers and scheme are what make it unique.)

    Don't we just...ahem...upgrade to the younger, hotter looking version? You know the one that's not so chunky and doesn't have any sagging parts? The one that's tighter all around and is willing (and able) to pull off all sorts of exotic poses and positions?

    Based on all the other angles, the fighter mode looks great. It's just that side profile shot that really gives me pause. Maybe if the nose was extended a little bit (like anime52k8 said), it would help. But then, we'd have the issue of the codpiece in battroid looking a bit too long. Compromises between the three modes. Always a tricky thing to manage.
