  1. Here's some pics of my relatively small Macross collection: DVD Bookshelf Set-Up (Future Home of a 1/3000 TV-Style SDF-1 <fingers-crossed>): Customs Shelf and M&M Tribute Display Area: My Current Desk Set-Up (This is what happens when you've gotta make room for another kid and gotta consolidate a few display areas into one): I also have a Isamu YF-19 (and some Macross MPC's <hangs head in shame>) that are currently boxed up and stored away.
  2. Thanks, but I've already invested a lot on my 1/48's. Yeah, I know the 1/60's (version 2.0) are more in-scale with the rest of the Yamato Macross birds. Yes, I realize they have better articulation. But I'm running out of room to display my collections. And the idea of having to buy repeats of my VF-1s doesn't really appeal to me. Besides, the Stealth scheme and original Low Viz scheme can only be had in the 1/48 scale.
  3. If we are getting Gamlin's S, I guess I will be busting out the light blue paint on that yellow trim. Just be the super-husband/super-dad beforehand: * If the wife has a late-night craving for burgers and ice cream, just go out, buy the stuff, and bring it home without making a fuss. * If she's tired and uncomfortable, help her make her fortress of pillows or offer to give her a foot massage. * When the baby comes, try to be the one to wake up in the middle of the night to change, feed, and/or soothe the kid. * Be the one to wash all those freakin' bottles and other baby feeding accessories (Yes, I'm looking at you, ya damn Doctor Brown bottles!). Do all this stuff (and more) for the wife and kid, and she may not mind it too much if you give yourself a little "Nightmare" reward*. * (Just remember she may pull the "I carried and delivered your child; where the hell is MY reward?!" card).
  4. "ALL YOU MELTRAN BITCHES BETTA' RECOGNIZE!!!" Hmmm, wonder what scene I was trying to emulate . . . Lastly, muchas gracias to Ignacio Ocamica for the TV hands. Extremely happy to have them on the TV Max!
  5. From the album: Mog's Yammy Collection

Man I shoulda bought more Anasazi stickers back in the day. I find the Yamato stickers to be lacking, especially on the colored parts of the Valk. Plus, the Anasazi sets have more stickers to add than the typical Yamato set, and the Anasazi stickers (like the NO STEPs) are bigger, crisper, and are easier to read. Damn you, Alps Printers!!!
  6. Of course, I wouldn't mind a teal version too. . . but with an elongated cockpit, a more slender-looking battroid, and a "1" and an "EX" after the "VF-17." Thanks for the CAD pic and update, charger69! I too prefer the color-scheme on the 17D in anime52k8's post. If we wind up with the 17S and its yellow-striped scheme though, I'm sure I can bust out some light blue paint and get exactly what I want.
  7. Awesome news!! Hopefully, we'll see some CAD pics soon!
  8. Rather silly, but Thor is JERICHO!! "Pereira the Effeminate". . .
  9. Not too shabby of a film. There are far worse movies out there than this one. It was entertaining enough. And I'm glad that they
  10. Oh my goodness! . . . . That was amusingly awesome!
  11. So, when we gonna bust a favorite anime endings thread? A couple of personal faves/guilty pleasures that haven't been mentioned yet: * Eureka 7's 4th opening, "Sakura" I give this a slight edge over the first opening theme. Love the first theme's strings, but I just enjoyed this one ever so slightly more, especially as the series was drawing to a close. * Bleach, Scandal's "Shoujo S": Yes, it's unabashed, swanky fan-service. And frankly, I don't care. (Too bad Youtube took down the band's actual video for this song.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kgyYYtJGOE&feature=related * Black Lagoon's: Gets you perfectly into the mood for this kick-ass series. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZCycZFKtmI&feature=related
  12. Just click the last link in my signature. It should answer all of your questions. It's a little tight, but yes, he does sit fine in the X-19. As far as head clearance is concerned, there's more than enough space between his head and the cockpit canopy. I also posted pics in the link that show how well this custom Ghostrider sits in the X-19.
  13. Yeah. . . someone's ready to have a mock dogfight with the Skystriker.
  14. ^^Pretty cool looking fig'. But no armor or chest covering?
  15. The question too is whether the intake covers were the baby-blue ones or the more faded greyish-blue ones (half-serious, half-joking BTW). Oh well, I'm somewhat thankful my gambit of buying two of these blue Alphas early on eventually paid off. It allowed me to keep one Alpha in battloid mode and the other in fighter mode. Looking at these suckers up on my shelf, it still amazes me that we finally got a good sized, decent-looking, somewhat reasonably priced Alpha-Beta combo.
  16. Granted, I just got a DSLR myself. But even with a regular old point-and-shoot, you can still get some good pics. All you need are: A tripod or something stable to place the camera on (absolutely essential when taking no-flash pictures with a point-and-shoot); Some good to adequate lighting; and The macro feature on your camera (the little rose/flower icon/dial selection). Until very recently, practically all the pics I've posted on the board have been from a cheap old Fuji FinePix digital camera. They may not the greatest pics, but they definitely get the point across :
