  1. Without having access to the meeting records between T-Rex and Bandai, we may never know who made what decision. Regardless, the client, which is Bandai in this case, makes all final approvals. The clip holding the arms on the Yamato/Arcadia VF-1s may have been a Yamato idea and thus Bandai can't use it. So we blame whoever puts their name on the box!
  2. Those images remind me of the USS Flagg Playset. I did a quick ebay price check and those are going for a crazy asking price.

Well they are $12 each ($59.99 set). Something is wrong with Ben, but everyone else seems OK at that price point. They are most definitely not $50+ figures.
  4. Well... Its like Barbie. You gotta make unrealistic proportions so the outfits look right or else you get something like the following: Random internet search, but strangely... well... yeah, not my picture.
  5. It's been quite some time since I watched Megazone 23. I only really liked part 1. I personally don't care for the stories for the rest of the series. The character designs are different for part 2 & 3. If I recall correctly, Mikimoto was only involved with the character designs for EVE for parts 2 & 3. I don't believe that you need to watch anything beyond the first OVA to enjoy Megazone 23. Megazone 23 was the first animated OVA to make a major profit. I don't think that they has a part 2 & 3 planned from the beginning. That being said: are there loose ends? Yes! Does it matter? Not really because that's life! I forgot to mention that you shouldn't watch part 2 with young children due to an adult scene. I don't remember if part 3 had anything like that.

I was thinking that they may as well for 1:12 scale with recent announcements form the other manufacturer(s). But that would make this thing massive.
  7. Leave room for future "innovation"? Fix it in the next version and advertise it as a "new" feature? Then make us all buy it again!
  8. I'll go with "Yes." In Science Fiction it is very easy to use the "self-centered bastard that only cares about furthering their own goals at the expense of the good of the group/community/population." You can't ever fully trust Humans as they have a high potential of screwing you over because the "MacGuffin" is far too desirable.
  9. Is it $18 or $80 an episode? I'm hearing $80. Which is still way low..
  10. If I recall correctly, other members that took the store credit in the past, could not use the credit for Pre-Orders. This limits you to popular items at their inflated prices or unpopular items at retail or slightly below retail. Then you will see your now cancelled items listed on their website at their new inflated price for someone else to purchase. If you have the funds, you could buy from another vender and sell your NY items whenever you receive them for your cost (plus shipping) or whatever the fair market price is at that time.
  11. I really don't know that much about it. Maybe someone more knowledgeable about it will enlighten us. Apparently the game when it first released was revolutionary for its time. It combined many of the popular game type together. It was part robot combat, dating sim, etc. But that's about all I know about it.
  12. Cheep tires strike again! Or was that black ice?
  13. If you are new to PreOrder Madness, you may want to pick a few online retailers that appeal to you and create accounts before the PreOrder. You don't want to get cart-jacked while you are creating an account to complete your order. I think it helps (not 100% sure) to log-in just before Madness hour to help with check-out. Regardless, reducing delays in checkout should help.
  14. This is TRUE! OverTechnology is the wonder from the SDF-1! Plus people like to look through windows.
  15. I bailed on this show after the 2nd episode. I really wanted to like it. On to the next show!
  16. Didn't the bulk of Tatsunoko's talent from that era leave to staff up Production I.G.? Anyway, as it was said many times before: Why pay royalties to HG when you can just make Sci-Fi movie/show with none of the legal baggage.
  17. That sucks. I hope the shipper will make it right for you. I won't see mine anytime soon. I went with SAL.
  18. Hardwired for security! Or if you bothering the captain when he's trying to sleep.

As with the others: Buy what you like, like what you buy. Honestly though, I had discussed this topic during one of my jury duty sessions. It was a kidnapping/rape case. The topic itself is very fascinating to discuss when you have a broad demographic to discuss it with. Women's opinion on the matter are extremely broad and interesting. However, we all know that this topic will very quickly go far beyond the scope and intent of this forum. Thus: best to move on!

"Concert Outfit" Sheryl is never an issue. Based on the show, she wears a suit that projects her outfits. The only real skin you see is her hands, neck and face. Well at least you can argue that. Your opinions about women are not wrong. Women are important in any society. However, everyone wants to feel attractive or desired at least sometimes.
  21. Well that is a post-Roy, Hikaru piloted VF-1S. He did get it nearly destroyed getting Misa out of the hole in Alaska. Rebuilt with available (possibly salvaged) parts!
  22. I decided to not get into this line, but I'll be there on PO night to see if the bloodbath is really going to be as bad as we all expect.
  23. I'm the guy in the yellow suit. Nobody cares about me unless you fly the Valkyrie I maintain.
  24. I really do like the proportions of this version. I totally forgot about the red Legioss prototype that was shown. For some reason I only recall the initial red and white prototype.
  25. I'm guessing that a green Legioss will be next and that it will have to also sell well before we even hear a hint of a Tread.
