  1. Also up on: Hobby Search (12,800JPY) https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10877816 HLJ (14,080JPY) https://www.hlj.com/1-60-scale-macross-mbr-04-mk-vi-destroid-tomahawk-aca82160
  2. I think the initial release was just miniatures without a ruleset, and what's happening now is a boxed game with rules that includes the miniatures?
  3. There’s a thread in the sci-fi sub forum on the miniatures that’s branched out into the upcoming game kickstarter (p2).
  4. I think it's the legs, they have a very straight profile, and are a bit thinner than they ought to be compared to the torso.
  5. It's actually cardboard and (I think)wood for the frame of the joints if you look closely. Might also be plastic, but definitely something more solid than cardboard.
  6. My #1 ask for Arcadia, is actually to reduce the size of their boxes. They're so large they cost a ton to ship, and take up a lot of space for retailers. Look at the box size for an Arcadia 1/60 VF-1 compared to a Bandai 1/48 VF-1.
  7. Bandai has lower cost to produce, and retailers will sell Bandai stuff at lower margins. That's just the reality of things.
  8. Release date for the Bandai YF-19 was September 2018, it's been over 3 years. Also the Bandai had a MSRP of 27,000yen (according to Anymoon, or 27,500 on hobby search). The Arcadia isn't as expensive in comparison due to the Bandai release being a "full set" with all the extra stuff included.
  9. TBH, that's probably at least one reason they're not. Competing directly against Bandai on a YF-21 release, at current Arcadia prices, would be suicide.
  10. Just realized, Max was actually the first VF-1 I got. The HMR Max.
  11. I already have a Yamato one, so unless there's some improvements I'll probably pass. I hope at the very least they tighten up the waist bend, that's super loose on the old one.
  12. So far it's just one more in a long line of HMR prototypes shown. It may not even get produced (see: Tomahawk, Scout Regult, N-ger, Phalanx, VF-1EX).
  13. Not really a shelf warmer, since the initial release sold out, more of something they actually produced enough of to meet demand.
  14. Nothing wrong with an old password, so long as it's secure and not re-used elsewhere.
  15. Tried to order a Roundfacer, but no dice with my Proxy, they said they weren't able to get it for me.
  16. Well, since they did the D, they have the 2-seater mold already, but yeah P-Bandai/TWE.
  17. Nah, I’m saying since the 21 needs too much anime magic to ever make a perfect transformation toy that looks good and accurate in all 3 modes, they may as well prioritize the one that has been done dirty prior, rather than compete with the Yamato in its best form.
  18. I'm hoping they focus on Battroid, since that's where the Yamato really suffers. Also the legs could benefit from some re-engineering and newer plastics. Plus I've already got 2 yamatos for fighter mode.
  19. I dunno, still better than the last anniversary Arcadia VF-1…
  20. This is what's keeping me from using my Photon, stuck indoors working from home next to where my printer is. Resin smells so bad...
  21. I believe I’ve seen someone mix phosphorescent powder into normal paint before. There are also phosphorescent art paints. Check the workshop forum, I recall someone doing a custom PF SDF-1 with glow paint there.
  22. Thanks for nipping this in the bud @Shawn
  23. FWIW, that's apparently what they did with the UCS Star Destroyer apparently, the whole thing is sized around the dome element in the ventral hull.
