  1. The 918 seems a bit too long. Not sore I like the spacing of the front guns on the 924 which needs a nose mod. My thoughts are all on a modern Starfleet Voyager right now though.
  2. Finally got 10497. Great design and was a fun build with my son... tempted to get another to build a 924 or 918, though do wish there were printed bricks for them, though... and enough for both smaller alt builds. Getting three seems a bit extravagant. Would be nice if Lego would do an accessory pack for that. Local Walmart had so many kinda hoping they'll blow them out.
  3. USAF never wanted a competition but was forced by Congress. YF-22 was the safer & more conventional design. YF-23 was a better plane but would have been even more expensive, as well. The "peace dividend" would have still kicked the can farther down the road multiplying the prices even higher.
  4. Best solution would be acrylic and 3d print some custom brackets and screw them to it. Lots of us 3D printer guys are using Ikea Lacks as 3d print stations (buy 2 or 3 of them and print brackets to screw the legs of one onto the top of another one).

    Bandai Sv-262 DX valk

This. I was only able to get one of the Yamato VF-1. Wish Arcadia would release them again, so I can complete a flight section (4 valks) in Low Viz (Ideally, 1 x S, 1 x J and 2 x A.
  6. Is another SV-51 Nora or CF planned after Ivanov?
  7. It's definitely an unusual one. Never saw the low viz tails with yellow markings. I am kinda hoping for a late 80s with black tails and ochre radome.
  8. Upcoming Calibre Wings model on this livery:
  9. Fortunately I built high end last November. 9900k, z390 (Maximus Hero XI), 32GB RAM. I got tired of waiting for Ampere so got a 2070 OC instead of the 3080 or maybe 3090, which I'm thinking maybe for this summer or winter, depending (everything running fine in DCS in VR, which is the most taxing game for me right now), so probably good. If not this year, maybe next year will go to 64GB and a 3080 Ti or 4080 or whatever is out then.
  10. Calibre Wings VF-84 F-14A. I do like the mold better than Hobbymaster (I have two of those), especially the open bleed air door ducts, metal touch for the cannon fairing, etc. The Hobbymaster wings are smoother, though I do like the glove vanes on the Calibre as well as the swappable fully open TF-30 nozzles. The biggest draw for me was the adjustable weapon configuration on the wing glove pylons. The extra weapons, as well (being able to put 4 x sidewinder, etc. Should include 6 Phoenix so probably wouldn't ever use those pylons otherwise, but only has 4. Unfortunately the wing glove pylons are a fiddly mess and the pegs that connect to the plane should be twice as deep. Then the uniformity issue where some pegs are thicker than others. One of the Phoenix pylons always wants to fall off, too (should have designed these with a couple more pegs to fill the Sparrow fin holes), both two Phoenix and one of the Sidewinders came off of their pegs when I was trying to pull them back off. Nothing a dot of glue won't fix but if the draw is different weapon configurations, this should be easier to do. Also,, VF-84 was a TARPS squadron, so this one should have included a TARPS pod as well as 6 Phoenix (the "Doomsday Loadout"), 4 x Sidewinder, 4 x Sparrow. I really want to get one of their F-14D or F-14B, but just missed the Tomcatters F-14D CAG plane.
  11. Of course, that presumes the Russians build more than a dozen or so of them... and they actually get some engines that aren't POS.

    Hi-Metal R

I'm still hoping for a Metal Siren.
  13. I'm running a Samsung Odyssey+ which was a great deal at the time. Built a new rig just for DCS (and Elite Dangerous) last year 9900k 32GB RAM and a 2070 (got tired of waiting for Ampere) and an nvme SSD to boot off of. Probably go to 3080 or maybe 3090 and 64GB in a refresh this year, though maybe next since everything is pretty smooth right now with almost everything high and pd1.3. Finally retired the old Saitek X36 in favor of a VKB MCG Pro and a virpil throttle (the v3 of the bigger one). I have one button box built and planning on a couple vertical panels which I'll start after I do an ejection seat cable.
  14. Is there going to be a Tread to match the Riobot Legioss? I would still like to see a pair engineered to linked together that can be "wooshed" around instead of just a gravity linkage or a fiddly mess like the CM.
  15. Yeah that one is great. The Vulcan intercept is probably one of my favorite from that collection. He needs to write a book or two and do a movie like Bio (I picked up his Tomcat RIO book, too. Great stuff there, too).
  16. How many DCS players we have here? I've been rocking the Tomcat and Hornet and Supercarrier since release. Didn't see this interview posted, but loved it. So many great stories this guy has. One of the VF-84 pilots from The Final Countdown.
  17. Hmm, so still a chance to get one of these. I haven't had anything new for Macross in years. Would still hope for another take at YF-21/VF-22 again, if not VF-11 (always kicking myself for never getting a Yamato VF-11C).
  18. Wonder if they'd include another accurate head for Unicron. Hadn't noticed that. Still on the fence. Would probably put it on my CC anyway. I'd be kinda for a hoping for a second damaged "moon" head anyway with broken eyes and/or horns. Speaking of which, looking over all the shots makes me most worried some of the spikes on Unicron's arms might break off, etc. Also would have preferred the gimmick to open and close the planet jaws would be on the other side by the legs somewhere than turning the ring.
  19. I only ever got an HM F-22. Wish someone would do an F-23A EMD
  20. Always liked 1/2000 to really get the perspective for how big some of the other ships became. 3D print the rest, though the starter kits from Polar Lights are nice. Even then some are too big. Jem Hadar Battleship and Borg, of course.
  21. I'm sure it's good reason in story. And it's just a convenient coincidence the ChiComs won't be offended at the same time. It's not like international distribution is a much bigger concern in 2019 than 1986.... It's not like they would have even heard about the whole Battleship , Red Dawn remake, etc all faced the same issue.
