  1. The way the pricing is listed it looks like you buy the battroid and fighter then combine parts for the gerwalk. I may be wrong though.
  2. That 1a looks great, I can't wait to get my hands on these.

The original monster never did transform. This looks great to me. It's big but to me it's a must have. I've been wishing for this for years. The Koenig monster toys came out a few years ago when Japanese toy prices weren't as high as today. If those were out today they may be closer to a $400plus release.
  4. If I were to go with 1/60 i would go with the bandai dx series for the simple fact that I hate stickers with a passion. For the price Arcadia is asking they should at least do more of the important markings. I also think the hmr 1s should at least have those arrows printed on the head. The regult and glaug markings look good so far though.
  5. I just got my mk2 renewal kits and felt let down that they don't have closed fist or an open palm hand. The hg kits are really losing me as a fan.
  6. I think that if you have any sentimental attachment to the 1/60s you should still keep them and maybe put in a little overtime at work for the 1/100s. The hmr regult, glaug and monster are all confirmed releases. Hopefully they do make the other destroids and enemy units. I figure that a $60 to $150 release every couple of months isn't too difficult. Although that monster may be an exception price wise it's a must have for me. I haven't had a monster toy since the early 80s and that one doesn't look anywhere as good as the hmr.
  7. That new Barbatos weapon looks stupid. I do like the grimgerde though. It reminds me of a more upright boundoc From zeta gundam.

I checked that page and the price for regult at cd japan is $47, not bad.
  9. I couldn't wait, I started clipping out some parts on the Scopedog and noticed that you have the option of a fully loaded kit or a bare bones one, but you have to drill holes in spots like the sides of the torso or the left arm If you want to put on the extra equipment. Also if you are going to fill in the seams you have a choice of parts for the shoulder. Before building this kit you have to decide if you want the equipment on or not before building it, but there are parts to build 4 kits, the only plates that aren't copied are the primary weapon runners.

I really like when an action figure comes with a stand. I live in SoCal where quakes happen often and sometimes my figures have had too much to drink.
  11. I just got the wave scope dog turbo custom 1/35 4 pack in the mail today. I haven't had time to start building and probably won't until some other projects get finished. I did take a look inside and the parts apear to be a bit smaller than the rabidly dog, but the construction looks almost the same. The finished pictures look good, there are enough parts to build 4 fully loaded kits. There seem to be only one of each main weapon, but the accessories apear to to have enough parts to load out all 4 kits just with different primary weapons. There are also parts for 4 different characters in standing pose. The foot construction is top half bottom half instead of side to side like the rabidly dog. Unfortunately there is no full cockpit even though the top opens up just like the standard rabidly dog and there is no downform, but there is a gimmick to bring down the extra turbo wheel thing in the back of the leg. These will probably look really good in standing and action display, but I would have really liked them to at least have something to put inside the torso since the upper body has the joints to open up. I don't know if the seat from the premium version of the rabidly dog kit will fit this, but if it does I'm sure some one could make a copy or scratch build the rest of the inside. It does look like it has the inside side walls oddly enough.
  12. I have the volks 1/100 bang and it's a good size kit,but space is getting limited so the 1/144 ones may be the ones for me. The batshu does look great and the a-tol looks impressive to me so I may have to get them before their gone. That terror mirage will still be my next buy.
  13. The volks web site shows an A-tol at 1/144scale ims kit. I was wondering if anyone had anything good to say about the 1/144 batshu.
  14. This question always makes for fun arguments. Most of the time in animation when a vf1 is in a scene with a zentraidi soldier or pilot they are more or less the same size, while sometimes the mecha will be a mix of the same height or will appear as a towering machine almost twice the height. The manual pics show the zentraidi being a mix of height from just over waist high to a vf1 for pilots and others like Breetai being closer to the same height and other characters being even bigger. I guess you just have to choose the scale on personal taste. Personally I like the idea of the zentraidi being about the height of the valkyrie. It just makes them seem more menacing.
  15. Just got my kakashi from naruto in the mail. The knee covers over the joints are loose on mine and fall off in extreme poses. I'm going to glue them on. There's not much as far as weapons go just 2 kunai an effects part and his porno. The hip joints have an interesting way of hiding joints. And has some extra hands and a couple extra faces. It's a fun one for naruto fans
  16. I would like to see a revive of gp01to capture more of the anime feel as well. I'd also like to see the f2 zaku redone and a xamel for once. Maybe I'm asking too much from bandai for a xamel.
  17. The preview looks entertaining and early audience screenings have good reviews so I may check this out now that there is a bit of a pre dead pool slowdown.
  18. Their human faces do look bad, but the aliens look good.
  19. I have seen their alien figures and they look cool but after getting the revoltech one for the original I haven't got around to these. I would like to hear some good reviews before I buy anything from this line.

After seeing the non bandai vf2ss the hmr version may be an interesting item and I really hope that it gets made along with some of the other prototypes that have been teased.
  21. That old Imai kit was a neat set. If I remember it was a 4 mode in one box set with battroid, fighter, gerwalk and fighter with just the legs down. I had seen a few dioramas of it.
  22. I really love the instruction art in those older kits. I wish bandai would make a gp01 that looks more like it.
