  1. I hand brush the panel lines on most of my kits. I use a lacquer top coat after the base coat of paint, then after the top coat has dried a couple of days out of paranoia I use oil paints I bought at Michaels arts and craft store. The oil paints seem expensive at first, but they last a long long time when thinned. Just make sure the thinner doesn't dissolve the lacquer. If the topcoat is gloss the panel lines will be smooth, if the top coat is dull the panel lines can giv a grimmy look. After the kit is finished I put a final top coat. If the base coat is lacquer you may not need the first top coat. Just play around with it.
  2. Are those markings the usual hg sticker? I don't see an outline, so I was wondering how those markings are handled. I really love the box art on these. The web exclusive box art is usuall very dull, but these look fantastic. I may get them just as a display for the boxes alone.
  3. Either it's a watch or a kit of a watch or a magic teleportation device or🤐
  4. Have they stated a price yet. By the looks of it they may be going large, but simple to keep the cost down kinda like the large scale scale simple gaundam bandai put out a couple years ago.
  5. I just preordered the revoltech from Hlj, anyone know when the figma preorder starts. I'm just gonna get both to compare.
  6. The teaser for the figma looks like the same design. The revoltech looks good, but I have had slightly better luck with figmas. Some of the revoltech figures fall apart, but don't break. The figmas I have from the last couple of years seem a little tougher than they were, but I'm still a little worried about messing with them much. If sh figuarts did these comic style designs I'd probably go with those, but for now maybe if the revoltech comes out sooner than the figma I'll pick one up and see if it's one of the good ones and decide on the series after that to see which company is the option for me.
  7. I was just at a Hobby Town, (or was it Hobby People, I always get the two confused) and they had some of the new hg IBO kits for $11. They may be a little higher than ordering from Japan if you don't count shipping, so if you live near one in here in the U.S. It may be an alright alternative for buying. They also had various mg, sd, rg and hg kits. And for those looking for paints there's also a new type of model master paint that comes in small bottles that are lacquer based for those having a hard time getting a hold of mr color, like me.
  8. While other companies are doing movie versions I'm glad someone is doing the comic style. Looks like from the teaser a Spider-Man is coming soon. The other one has a bigger look with sharp looking nails maybe venom. Any one know if these will only be Marvel or will other companies be involved like DC?
  9. The newest preview looks amazing. The cgi has really come a long way. I showed it to the family and had a hard time convincing everyone that there were no live actors. And was that an Audi?
  10. That's the first revoltech figure I've been excited about in years. I have a few of the micro ones from MGS, but the last large ones I bought were the og alien and the predator. Those were great, but the Ironman was a crappy one. It looked good, but it fell apart easy and the weight of parts made it want to lean in odd ways. I hope this will be one of the good ones.
  11. I would love some non Valkyrie items like destroids or enemy mecha or even just other vehicles.
  12. Bought some sale items mostly classics. Part way through Cashaan and it gives me a smile. The animamation is almost Hanna Barbera with robots meant for a kids show, with action that is sometimes absolutely brutal with overkill that seems common. like robot rats that steal food then incinerate everything from people to the poor alleycat or goofy looking robots stabbing people in the back with giant spikes and then electrocuting them. Finished Space Adventure Cobra and loved it. Some of the storylines were a bit too silly, but it's a great combo of 007 and outlaw star. Also finished Turn A gundam and liked it enough to finish it. I haven't seen every gundam show, but I have seen quite a few and this one is a bit lower on my nonexisting list than ZZ. The designs and backgrounds and animation quality are high and the story needed far better writers. The decisions characters made were all chaotically stupid even knowing the odd situation they are in. The bonus interviews with Syd Mead were very interesting. Also finished the episodes of Ajin on Netflix. The cgi animation is as bad as the Knights of Sidonia animation, but even with some slow episodes I found that I just couldn't stop watching. I hope more episodes are on the way.

Thanks Roy, I was starting to think I imagined the whole thing. I also think that's the only time they were ever used.
  14. I really thought Samus would sell out by now.

I tried a quick search on google and YouTube for glaug using its claws and came up with nothing useful, mostly pics of miniatures from the robotech game or various Macross battle videos mostly with no glaug in sight. If any one is rewatching the show and comes across it maybe give a clip or episode number. It's been about 3 years since my last watching.

Sorry bub but I don't remember exactly which episode it was, but I remember some kind of container that the glaug was next to and the claws grabbed it then it took off. I wish I could remember why or which episode. The glaug if I remember correctly (I'm gettin old) never used the claws for grabbing onto ships, I think the whole claw use was an extreme rarity.
  17. Maybe a playmax tachicoma for the figma.
  18. I always end up surprised at which figmas end up sell outs and which end up as shelf warmers.

There's one or two episodes where the glaug used the claws for equipment pick up.
  20. It does look better than egg of the king, and it looks like it takes place ahead of the series. Either way I'll see it eventually.
  21. Wave should include a pilot, but then again they didn't with the first releases of their new votoms kits. They released the rabidly dog with an opening cockpit, but with no seat or pilot. Then six months later they released the same kit with parts for down form a seat and a pilot. They did the same with the scopedog turbo custom and now there is a preorder for the kit with the extra parts.
  22. Everyone I know at least liked tfa, some not as much as others and I never heard it being referred to as bad as the prequel films. If any harsh complaints I heard from people it was "at least it's not as bad as the prequels".
