The house we looked at before settling on this one had a shed with electrical lighting, a work table and extra outlets. It wasn’t too ideal otherwise since it had stupidly thin stairs that would’ve infuriated me daily since they built the main floor on top and there was next to no yard at all. Most of the yard was the shed. It had other issues as well, but at least the temperature was pretty low for Southern California. the shed did seem pretty cool though and is something I would consider building at this house

That’s a pretty cool set. I like those Hammond collection dinos and the Spielberg looks surprisingly good at that scale -
There is mention of granting a wish and maybe that deal was also given to others, but not shown in the trailer. It might not be tournament in the sense of a less than friendly voluntary competition, but more of a forced tournament with the participants not knowing about the competition being set up.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, in theaters summer 2023
Big s replied to Duke Togo's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Back then it didn’t feel like it was happening in every single movie. Definitely Die hard tried with two kids, but I don’t think they were marketed as the takeover character and Mutt was in a less than great movie, but it just feels like right now it’s every film franchise that Disney owns that they want to do the crushed heroes with the female taking over. I don’t think anyone would say much if it was only once every few years and I also get that in the case of Wakanda forever that it was done out of a tragic necessity, but it was a bit overdone by now only replacing Black Panther, but Iron Man as well in the same film. It’s just way too overdone all within only a few years. Disney just doesn’t have the writers to handle these stories. Prey was a great example of an exception to the female taking the lead, it didn’t have a broken heroe story and some simple writing, but it worked really well. It shows that the concept can work if you don’t follow the same checklist routine. As far as the male characters before that taking over, it wasn’t that often. Either that or it could have been that movies just weren’t pumped out like crazy back then, so it felt like someone tried an experiment that failed and a couple years later someone tried and failed. Maybe they just shouldn’t replace the characters in the first place and just do something original, but we know they won’t.- 355 replies

I get that feeling as well, but with all the recent failures there may be a change in formula sooner than later if Disney wants to stay relevant and earn money again.- 355 replies

Skeletons and knights are pretty popular these days with the smaller companies -
I have a very vague memory of this character’s existence.

I’ve been curious about the mask thing. Deadpool didn’t seem to mind having a comic character with full mask and comic style white eyes, I’d be interested to Hugh in a mask as well, even if it’s only a few scenes

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, in theaters summer 2023
Big s replied to Duke Togo's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Right now, it would feel different at least. It’s not something I would have complained about 2 years ago, but it’s something that Disney is running into the ground over and over. It’s like a copy paste machine across all their franchises at this point. It’s also a problem when they can’t hire good writers for these franchises. I have no problem with the idea of a female lead, but when it’s an overdone gimmick and done poorly, then it’s just becomes boring and nothing to get excited over. If they want people to show up for a movie that’s got a copy paste feel, then they better bring some amazing writers to offset the weaknesses- 355 replies

I don’t think it’s as much as people didn’t like what they saw, but more of a bad word of mouth and terrible trailers to back up the bad word of mouth. I think people are sick of the destroyed heroes. It works once in a while, but most of the time, it depresses the fan base. This movie from what has been said, even by those that liked it just hit every trope that people are sick of in movies and shows right now. The completely destroyed hero, the female character trying to take over, and the biggest thing people are sick of and that’s a time travel/ multiverse gimmick to fix the problem. They just didn’t want to try to give the fans anything new. And they have already seen that these plots don’t work and keep pumping out the same stories over and over.- 355 replies

Oddly it seems the just rereleased the old kits. I wouldn’t mind seeing new versions though.

Help with 1990’s military play set toy line.

I’m pretty sure cops were popping kids with pop guns back in the day as well, but it really gathered a lot of attention back in the early 90’s. -
Looks like he’s ready to party nonstop no matter what or how drunk he gets. The party never ends and don’t try to tell him otherwise

The arms don’t bug me at all. If I were to nitpick this I think the head sculpt could use some work and the chest is too bulky. The back pack doesn’t sit at a great angle. The chest thing is bulky because of the transformation gimmicks they are using though, same with the backpack. But I do think the head could look a little better

Yes, lots of fun -
They probably did. I think it’s hilarious Maybe next they’ll do a talking Skeletor that only says “WAT”
-
That’s an odd choice if they were trying to fold Deadpool into the mcu, unless they’re trying to do a multiverse thing

I remember my parents telling me they thought that toy was way too expensive back in the day. I think there was probably a bigger argument they could’ve made about the space it would’ve taken.

Adult Swim's My Adventures with Superman
Big s replied to no3Ljm's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I haven’t seen the second one yet, but from what I saw of the first, it’s definitely for a younger kids crowd. It seemed very kid friendly with visuals that could be entertaining for the adults watching with their kids. It’s definitely not a go out of your way to watch it kinda show though. But from what I’ve seen it’s also not something that necessarily would totally infuriate a fan as long as they understood that it’s a goofy style- 37 replies

At that price , I think I’d be happy just getting their high grade kit for a fraction of a fraction of the cost. I used to play Keith Courage in Alpha Zones back in the day and that’s basically my attachment to the design. I never watched the old anime or played the original version of the game, but maybe one day I’ll at least check out the anime
