    You're wrong about KK with no evidence mind you. Put on your critical thinking cap and check out this interview of JJ Abrams where he admits KK pressed him to direct Star Wars. In hindsight it was a bad idea because JJ was deep into Star Trek which was a good first film. Afterward both the new Star Wars trilogy and Star Trek films fell apart, badly. ABRAMS: I mean, I get it. The worlds are vastly different. Honestly, that was why I passed on Star Wars to begin with. I couldn’t imagine doing both. But when I said that my loyalty was to Star Trek I was literally working on finishing this cut. I couldn’t even entertain another thought. It was like being on the most beautiful beach in the world and someone saying, “There’s this amazing mountain over here. Come take a look.” I couldn’t balance the two, so I passed on Star Wars. ABRAMS: It was a wild time. I was near the light at the end of the tunnel with my work on Star Trek. I felt I needed a bit of a breather, actually.     Don't know where to post this since we have so many Star Wars threads but this is the best Star Wars news since it was purchased by Disney.     Besides the stupid poor choice in music the trailer looks good. I also just started re-watching the first season and ten minutes into is a excellent reminder why its the best Star Wars series yet imho.

    I'd look at 2Tb of storage as game installs are getting huge at 100Gb and growing. On a side note, a pro-tip for those building a new PC: You you can earn 6% cash back with American Express Blue Cash Preferred card from U.S. Supermarkets purchases but it doesn't have to be on groceries 😉 I've been earning 6% cash back for my next complete build by ordering parts on Amazon using their gift cards I purchased at my local US supermarkets. This 6% cash back also works for other gift cards purchased at my local US supermarkets, eg restaurants, Steam, etc.

    Anybody's employers getting in on the AI biz? Mine and my wife's different employers are working to get AI to help analyze and process (hopefully streamline) work flow. We're just hoping the AI analysis will catch the nuance in human written entries.

    I was able to convince my wife to let me buy a new Jaguar F-Type last year when she didn't want me to buy a Hummer EV or other big ass electric truck that would not fit in our garage and would take up our whole driveway. It was kind of like unintentional reverse psychology 🤣 So now we have three cars; dadmobile (Nissan Juke), mommobile (Subaru Outback), and Batmobile (F-Type). I take the F-Type into my office a couple of times a month and my wife and I enjoy it for date nights too. Back on subject. I'm glad I'm not desperate for a new GPU because I'm waiting on MSI to release their new B850M mobos still, ugh. No idea what their delay is.

    One can wish to be living as well as Cheech and Chong at their age, gonna have to rewatch their early films again. They also gave Paul Reubens's film career a good start as Pee-Wee Herman, though very R-rated, lol. Miss that guy 🙏

    I'm looking at 5070 Ti as well but the prices I've seen so far are terrible. I'm hoping to see some deals in the coming months.

    Last year when I was looking at new Jaguar F-Types their white paint with red leather interior combo gave my Mach 5 vibes., especially in convertible. More so than a Corvette or other 2 seat sports car imho. Ended up going with Carpathian Grey paint with black leather coupe which gets compared to the Batmobile, lol.

    I don't think it needs it own thread (yet!) but looks like THE GOONIES 2 is officially happening! Hollywood is still chasing that GenX money but legacy sequels hasn't had a good track record, seems like 1 out of 10 or more are really good or isn't a box office success.     How so? I hardly ever read about NVME compatibility issues but have you checked for an update on your mobo's BIOS or checking with WD for support? Maybe its a driver?

    The more I read the 50xx reviews the more I'm disappointed. Apparently the new frame generation can still create artifacts and terrible input lag. I was originally planning on going 4K in my next complete build and may just dial it back to 1080p with eye candy and high FPS at native frames.

    Already there however I'm wondering if I can save me the hassle of building my own with a pre-built instead. 5080 pre-builts are available to order and some of their prices aren't as high as I expected. Spec wise the price is about equal to what I have in pcpartpicker though I don't know the specific make/model of certain parts like RAM and PSU for example.
