It looks more dynamic than the vehicle was in the show!

The smallest but loudest contingent of Robotech fans are probably thrilled to finally be getting Southern Cross merchandise while simultaneously fashioning their excuses as to why they won't buy this. "I would get it, but only if it were $29.99!" They will then loudly protest when the next announced release is a Macross character wardrobe change and not Louie Nichols or Bowie Grant.

I think non-hard point wings are silly. Yes, the hard points on HMR toys are a little uglier than on something like a DX toy, but they're not THAT ugly where they can't just be ignored. I do like the mini battroid wings though..

The higher a country's average life expectancy the higher the death rate percentage is since it tends to lay waste to nursing homes but younger people are much less affected and, due to testing inadequacies, frequently not even diagnosed. That said, there must be a plane or two going from Japan to Sweden again and only a few boxes that ship that direction so it makes it back on the list... the Japanese postal system isn't judging countries, just dealing with the logistics.
-
Whoopsy! That's pretty funny. I imagine the criteria for returning to service is capacity (flights) and demand (# of parcels going to that country) based. Big countries will be slower to get service back because they will require more flights per day to make it feasible.

Yuck.. about to get might sentinel Legioss... Hope it comes in a box.

At this point they've waited long enough where we might be able to hope for a version 1.5 Draken with some tweaks to make it friendlier.

They don't have a traditional P-Bandai relationship. What they do have is anybody's guess. Never buy from them if you are concerned with timeliness... they believe service begins in ends with you getting what you paid for... WHEN is something for the gods to be concerned with.

The Robotech.com forum was NEVER a good idea. When your entire enterprise is a licensing card house, regulating the conversation on a forum is just a bad idea. The HG staff is 3 people... did they really need to have one of them spend their time being the forum police and have another one be responsible for maintaining the forums? They should have partnered with an independent fan group and let them run the forum. Someone would have been happy to do it, I'm sure, and all the HG staff would have to do is put a link on the Robotech site that said something like "Talk about Robotech on our preferred forums!" Robotech.com should always have just been a blog, a museum, and store.

Jungle basically said they are willing to do an indefinite hold and nothing else so... hope for a vaccine!

100% true... I always go to the SDCC panel and I feel that this sums up pretty much every presentation I've seen from them over the last 10 years. They act as if the fact people are making Robotech products is somehow because of the current team's success rather than a byproduct of popularity from 30 years ago, they act like they're involved in the development of new products though they're not, they act as if there's progress on the live action movie front though it's no where near production, they act like something big is coming but the BIG thing is usually just that Robotech is available on another service... I wouldn't be surprised if they staggered the release of Robotech on Crackle one year, Netflix another, and then Youtube so they could claim a HUGE victory each year.

I doubt it would be done at the same time as the YF-21, but I wouldn't be surprised if a year later they re-issued the YF-19. If they decide to do a VF-11, it might be two years later before they got to a reissue. Of course, all we can do is guess.

Box pics exist, I'm sure they'll be up soon.

I bet the red and green toys will have different accessories like how Yellow got saddle bags. They also need tiny ride armor figures.

Good thing you didn't get them from NY, they still wouldn't have shipped!

Being a Legioss fan has been tough going (though I'm still fond of the old Gakken 1/35 toys). I've been let down so many times now, I'm trying not to get excited about this release. Those Aoshima releases were such a burn. The Toynami MPCs were good looking toys, just poorly built. Involving Aoshima with a few design tweaks seemed like a great way to salvage it... instead they made it worse! Ugh.

20k... Man, too bad they aren't doing ferry service.

Sorry, does anyone know a good way to calculate how much it is to ship from Japan to USA using DHL? I was thinking about making a Manda purchase of some bulky items (non-Macross) but don't want to be totally shell-shocked or have to cancel after getting the invoice. "It will be 12,000¥ to ship your 8,000¥ item" would be a non starter

I would be more inclined to believe this if there wasn't light reflecting off the black bits.

This statement totally disagrees with this picture: Note that the toy on the left is black without the armor on and the toy on the right is white without the armor on. If all we're doing is putting armor on, then how do the knees/elbows/pelvis/abdomen change colors? I think the best case scenario here is that the armor does swap on but the final product looks quite a bit different when wearing armor than this picture shows.

I definitely changed address on paid items when I moved. Like I said... Very hit and miss.

Your most recent Macross or toy purchase! General thread.

It would fit, it's the super parts that have problems because Bandai reshaped the front of the forearm. Since the GBP are parts slide on, it's not an issue. -
This comes up from time to time and is bewildering... maybe it depends on who you get at NY. Sometimes it's a quick and easy "Thanks, we've updated your address on that order" and sometimes they tell you to go pound sand. Try using chat. If you get an answer you don't like one day.. try again another.

There are two areas that seem to be breaking: The first is the pivot point for the side covers The second is the twist point for the gauntlets. While it's not a fix, I believe both breaks can be avoided the same way. As one of the first steps of transformation, disconnect the ball joint from the front shock at the pivot point. This then allows you to remove the front gauntlets entirely and get them into the proper armor mode configuration. Transform the toy as you normally would then reapply the gauntlets. Do not reattach the ball joint, just shove it behind the figure's armpit. This will make it look attached without causing any stress on the toy (as shown in that picture above) and gives you greater range of movement. If yours is already broken, this is no help. If you're scared to transform yours because of breaks, this should be a good way to avoid them.
