I feel like the Spartan is telling everyone a ghost story. -
I still think we'll get a 1A Max and Kakizaki in DYRL colors some day.... so when that happens you'll have more fillers to go around.
-
Yeah, I see it as "in stock" there, not pre-order... and it has been on every sale they've had since it debuted and is still in stock... if Arcadia is doing another production run that seems very bold. Even the PF versions are still relatively easily had.

Leave your VF-1A in fighter more and use that filler for you 1S. Solved!

Has there been a tweet about Max and Miria? Maybe Amiami is just picking up dead stock from another vendor.

The only thing that worries me is the detachable head winglet... that didn't work out well on the VF-31F Messer.

Is it me, or does something look off with that Ultimetal? The lower leg also looks a bit sparse.- 17164 replies

If all these toys didn't sell out instantly, a wait and see strategy might be prudent.

I'm super stoked. My Alto is a first release with the smaller GERWALK support so I'm totally in. The one improvement they are missing is ratcheting for the shoulder mechanism though.
-
Generally "super sizing" doesn't work well with 3D printers... most common ones are size constrained. I have no interest in a giant chunky monkey... 1/35 scale is the upper reaches for me and I'd rather it be an improvement on the DX toy if it were that big. I don't hate the 1/55 toy, I really like it, but I don't see how making it bigger would make it better to me.

Did the legal goings on of the last few years clarify the merchandising rights to Do You Remember Love? There was a stint during the Great Recession that was a bit like the wild west where HG claimed they could do whatever they wanted (and so Toynami made a lot of DYRL toys). I know Tatsunoko and BigWest went to court since then so I'm curious if Tatsunoko has since dropped any pretense of having DYRL merchandising rights they could extend to HG. I think the biggest clue that HG doesn't claim to have merchandising rights for DYRL any more would be what KitzConcept is up to. When they acquired the third party SD VF-1 mold it was from a company that was producing DYRL VF-1A Hikarus but KC made a lot of SD VF-1 toys and never made any for DYRL, nor have they ever teased a DYRL design and they have to know those schemes are pretty popular.

Justice League, available now & Snyder Cut on HBO Max in 2021
jenius replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I just read the Wiki to see what the big deal was... the only DC movie I've seen so far was Wonder Woman and it was good... but I've heard so much negativity about everything else I've avoided them (I have little kids, I have to be very selective in my movie watching). It sounds like Snyder created a heaping pile that was so awful he was yanked off the job... so awful that even the 'fixed' version sucked, and that got people thinking the original awful version couldn't be worse so they want to see it. I gotta say... that hardly sounds promising. -
I doubt they are, probably just lighting difference.

Yup!

Don't say "finally"... mine haven't even shipped yet from NY. You're on the early end of things!

I think that model line that Sentinel is doing now feels like it leaves the door open to lots of mechs we wouldn't normally dream of. Things like a Tread or bad guys. If all colors of the Legioss sell well, I still have my fingers crossed for a Tread toy. I know Sentinel has left the door open for more accessories for their Legioss toy. I wouldn't be surprised if a tiny 1/48 Eager shows up. The big hitch for new toys right now is that companies can't send employees to China. Usually a representative from the company goes to the factory and reviews production samples and participates in QC. Since that can't happen, the factories instead will have to ship a bunch of product to Japan for review. I don't know if they're then doing Zoom calls or something to discuss matters. Anyway, I think it's safe to bank a little bit of a delay into all the deadlines we're aware of as 'the new normal' sets in for the industry.

Everything I have ever ordered from ThreeZero has been delivered many months after the initial release date, I think I had one item be more than a year late, and I have never once heard anything from them. Looks like they've completely removed their "shipping schedule" from their website too so... that doesn't bode well. I'm guessing they don't even know when stuff will ship.

It's just an organization thing. I think the posts related to stores are better elsewhere as they make it easier when you're looking for a post about a toy to find that post with less spam (and easier to find places to buy something in another thread with less chatter about the toy).

They would not be too large in the 1/48 line.

My experience with the renewal tornado parts is similar... I had them on once and said "Nope, don't like that", threw them back in the box and that was that. I definitely did not get the same vibe from the YF-29 super parts. Yeah, they add a bit of weight to the wing, but they don't induce that yucky saggy feeling you get from tornado parts. Another big part of the reason I never reviewed the renewal tornado parts is because I kept telling myself I would do it after I got a version 1 Michael with Tornado parts set so I could compare them.. but the version 1 toys are so bad in comparison to the renewals I could never convince myself to buy that one.

Amazing shot. Did you remove the middle filler pieces of your set to shine more light through or is something else going on? If so, it seems like a great idea I may have to emulate. Do you leave the ceiling tiles on to disperse the light or are you ceiling free to get more light in? -
