When I was in Japan back in Winter 2003 as an exchange student I went super scrooge on food, only eating about 400 yen worth of food a day (3 instant curries and instant rice 3-pack) just so that I could buy a Japanese PS2 and the New Macross Game, which totally rocked (got a huge laugh out of choosing Kakizaki for the DYRL mission where he dies) Already prepaid my LE, just need to get a PS3 now :0

The Super pack thighs pop off so much it makes me want to punch a kitten. Oh why couldn't they have had the same mounting point as the armored pack?

The Bandai 1/72 Armored units also come with a stand and have nice locking mechanics that keep the fighter mode tight, which is why I'd recommend them to anyone -

If you're a new modeler stick with the Bandai kit. The Armored kit is one of the better bandai 1/72's and will be a lot more modeler friendly than the Hasegawa. -
Now you have to buy another alto for the armored pack version

I vote that they bundle the kit with a bottle of Micro-sol....... and maybe a stress-ball for good measure. -

The play arts Halo 4's have been out in Japan for a while. I picked mine up while I was there. Very nice figs. They even come with the stands you see in some of the pics. Here's a comparison of the PAK Halo 4 vs PAK Halo Reach.

that yf-30 missile pod must be on super super super super super tight because I have no idea how a huge friggin block like that can stay on in the atmosphere like that.

no release #3, just that there's always a few non-reserved units at release that are up for grabs that he might try to get. it's a long-shot, though.

Weirdly enough, on Day 16 for me I just got my shipping notice from NY for my 2nd Alto 25F. Ended up paying 340 for a sealed one so that I can have one in super and one in armored packs :0 God forbid they release tornado packs there'd better be a reissue :0

My alto parts order with them was in the same limbo. I got the same sorta response, but not at the refunded stage yet. I'm trying to sweet talk them into giving me a discount on my shipping and have them send me the crushed one if the contents are still good.

We need to remember Macross was only one part of Yamato's business. They were also pretty involved in the girly anime figure thing. Their girly figure products outnumber their macross offerings by a lot. Who knows, maybe this was a shift for them to put more focus on that since mainstream Macross Source material has pretty much dried up. Speculating aside we'll just wait for Graham's inside source. On a side note, dude, I clicked the link on their other product and was like OMG people not only buy that stuff but pay THAT much? O_o (referring to Angel Philia) Those figs def not gf / wife friendly lol

Honestly the Bandai 1/72's are actually pretty damn good kits. It's just the lack of locks on the regular and supers whichs drives people nuts. The Tornado and Armored pack releases are friggin awesome.... I'll prolly get some hase's and pillage the landing gear off them

I also feel the nose is a little too stubby. Perhaps if they lengthened it slightly the plane would look great. -
I finally decided to start reading the game site. Pretty cool info. Apparently you have to work your way up all the way from the VF-0 to whatever valk you want. Simliar to other Artdink games like Gundam Battle survive you can get certain parts that add bonuses and whatnot to our ship. It looks like the point system is gone and your pilot instead gains levels. There's even a screen shot where it shows a shop where you can buy repair kits and what not for healing O_o The high-speed rail sections are for only certain parts of the game so the majority of it will be like other artdink games it seems (as in more open) The Automode feature seems really weird... but if I understand correctly you can have an AI just fly your ship around and shoot crap while you watch O_o Make sure to watch the official gamesite. Funnily enough the idea of a new transforming VF-1 kit is growing more and more on me. Provided it's reasonable priced compared to the 1/60 Yamato Blanks I may buy a boatload.
