Got my order from NY for what I thought was my 171EX. Instead they sent me Armored parts....... Had to write them a nice little letter in Japanese asking them if I could just pay the retail for the Armored parts and have them ship me my VF-171 EX. They agreed. Guess I don't need to source the armored parts anymore now O_o

Yup. It was a miracle to find an Alto at sub $200 O_o I guess odd shops here and there have mad macross in Japan and let Renewal Altos sit for like 14 months O_o

not too hard to mask and paint the reds grey. Then I can just recast the CF pilots so that they are manned by non-altos

Destroids should never have weathering. At the rate they die they wouldn't be out on the field long enough to get dirty. Hell, at the rate they die you'd think the pilots were installed at the end of the assembly line and they were dropped right into battle. On a side note... God what's I'd do for a Cheyenne Mk 2 in 1/60

How a store sells items is their business. From their perspective whether 100 or 10 people buy 100 valks they sold 100 valks and that's that. Blame Bandai for not making Macross valks in bigger production runs. Getting a valk at retail is nay impossible unless you're in Japan and buy it from a brick and mortar (got a 171 ex for retail when I was there ) The 2nd-run price at NY which was 187 isn't really that much over retail. Retail is like 166 dollars so it's a $20 dollar markup which I gladly am paying just to get it over with. Instead of camping a website for hours at night to save 20 bucks on a valk I can just work 1 hour overtime and make up the difference :0

NY-san seems to take much longer to ship packages that use super cheapy shipping. whenever I order super cheapy it takes like 7-10 days to ship. When I buy EMS they ship within 1-2 days O_o

I said screw it. MIssed the Amiami, 1999 was a crapfest, I forgot about AE and NY I missed out on because I had to goto work to ..um..earn Valk Money. I just bought the 260-ish V1 on NY, preordered the super parts and bought a VF-171 Alto to ease the pain I'm just happy I got 1 of each valk up to this point.

I wish the Japanese govts plans for the yen to be cheaper work so that we don't have to pay so much for these valks, plus it'll boost the Japanese economy which means more valks

Question about Bandai 1/72 Macross Frontier kits

Do you hate yourself? Do you love being a masochist with decals? Then make sure to pick up the limited clear VF-25F and just try to build it. The Valk is freaking clear, meaning the good ole primer + color + clearcoat ain't happening. It's just... clear coat. Good luck getting a clear coat sticking to the freaking Clear smooth clear plastic. After a nice rinse in the sink even the tried and true future beaded and rolled off like nothing. The regular decals have no problem with adhesion to the pvc parts, but the metal decals? OMFG... it's like I hate myself and I don't even know why. Anywho, the holiday week was so easy-going that I built this. (no network outages = sit back and good off). Unfortunately, by building this kit I think I got more stressed out than I do just working.

Made a universal Armored pack for my renewals that can be used on a 25G or whatever 25 comes out in the future (except the RVF). Kinda like the non-canon gull-gray and will most likely be turning a spare 25G into a grey 25G like I had in my Triangle Frontier PSP game I also polished off the SMS 007 off the bottom of the side packs

Yamato should grab the M3 license. VF-9 Cutlas VF-14 VF-3000 VF-5000B Variable Glaug. How many of those valks have been made yet? Yeah, that's what I thought.
