  1. 1. Looks better than the 1/72 in all 3 modes 2. Stable in all 3 modes 3. No assembly or design problems that require effort on the User Side to correct (ie DIY mods/repairs, ordering new parts) 4. No sloppy paint apps or off-center tampo printing If the 21 can't at least accomplish the 4 points listed above, then we'll have been yamatoed. And don't worry about the detachable limbs. If they're made of cheap Thin ABS plastic like on other yamatos they'll surely be detachable ......
  2. A Yammy VF-1d would be so easy to make as Moscato has already proved (though if yammy made it we'd have a stiff canopy instead of a semi-soft one) Sadly, I'd only buy the YF-21, VF-11 and VT / VE

    Best and worst 1/48

I dogged the LV2 until I owned one, then I saw how similiar the scheme was to Vietnam Era F-4 Phantom pics and started digging it. Now the LV2 is one of my favs O_o

All the VF's are pretty much the same now. Honestly, I like every paint scheme. Well... Except for the Angel Birds one.... I'm getting a 1d kit soon and will convert the Angelbirds into a custom 1D instead of having that eye-sore on my shelf.
  5. Collection Updated. Finally got my Low Vis 1 when My Fiance made the final move to the US. (She's still wondering if I was happier to see her or the LV1 in her suitcase)
  6. They are a little more careful after listening to the crowd and making the Kakizaki 1A
  7. Aren't they releasing a 25th anniversary VF-1 this year?

    UV paint harmful?

If my white yammies start to yellow in 5 years I'll just mask the colored parts and paint the yellowed parts white
  9. Speak of the devil, HLJ's back on Sept release again Yay for MW'ers *damn double post*
  10. seen a few things online for pre-orders on Ebay from HK'ers, so ya never know ....
  11. The testors, Italeri and Tamiya are like all the same kit/mold in a different box As a matter of fact just about all of Tamiya's 1/72 line are repackgaged italeri kits, down to the instructions and decals It's a great thing, except for that unlike Hasegawa Italeri Sucks and makes me have to get my own pilot figures The X-02 really does remind me of the YF-23. Biggest Give-away for me is the way the X-02 folds down it's vert stabilizers when goin supersonic, just like the Real World YF-23. Tis a Shame the YF-23 didn't beat out the raptor It's like the loser planes just LOOK cooler. YF-23 looks way better tha the raptor, and even in the latest JSF competition, I was rooting for the unconventional delta-wing X-32 Guppy over the F-35, despite the X-32 performing like doo doo on it's vertical take off tests
  12. Let's hope SK got his crazy out on Kissdum and leaves the non-drugged part of his creative brain juices for a good Macross Story
  13. If you plan on setting them on fire I'll gladly send you some wooden logs with free shipping and a pre-paid postage box to put all your valks in to send back to me
  14. 1/35 MG Labors FTW! Still very poseable and cool..cept for the very limited line of just ingrams and griffon. I wanted to see Ingram Econs, helldivers, etc
  15. I found the easiest way to get Heatshields redone was to use some good sandpaper, sand the paint off, work up to super fine grits, then super fine toothbrush + toothpaist brushing, then a coat of Future on the bottom, then Color paint of choice, followed by another coat of Future The process only takes like 1-2 hours depending on how well you can use sandpaper. Just be careful not to crack the heatshield >:0
  16. If you're looking for investments, invest in a roth IRA or something similiar. The Value of Toys is so volatile that you cannot base your future on them. Buy Toys to have fun. Buy toys to play with them.
  17. It's much easier when you say "I paid for half the house, I get to use half the shelf in the living room that you happened to help yourself to". She got angry, but then she realized I was right and I get to use two top shelves of a four-shelf unit in our living room for "Guy stuff". Thus it's tastefully decorated with Macross Toys
  18. Just Don't Transform it har har har
  19. The conversion would prolly be too intensive. For both VE-1 and VT-1: Wings Heads Cockpit + Canopy Chestplate Then fastpacks.... Legplates FP Front for the Elint Completely new backunits for the Ostrich Mounting unit + extra thruster for back-unit A way to lock the Back Unit down, with FP's on, Using the Canon mounting position (Vertical Stabiliazers extended), all while maintaining durability and poseability. Oh..I forgot the whole freaking Radar Suite for the Elint O_o I guess if you kept the VT-1 Canon and unable to goto Battroid, it'd be possible to worksomething out, but if you made them transform you'll need some way to get that integral heatshield in. The mere weight of all that resin would prolly turn your VF-1 into a floppy mess over time. Then add to that, cost :0 the 1D alone was 80, this much more intensive mod would prolly go a lot higher, say, 200-250
  20. Almost all my valks are displayed on my shelf. All with fastpacks are in fighter, non-fp are seen in all 3 modes. Only 1 valk sits off the shelf. It's an extra 1J hikky for flying around the house FP's make valks too hard to play with or transform btw
  21. UFO Aftermath and UFO Aftershock are actually pretty fun games. The Tactical Combat part of the game was a blast and really made both games fun for me. Only problem? As with X-com, the maps start getting reused eventually and it can get a lil stale. There's also UFO: Afterlight out as well. It has much, much, MUCH more micro-management than the previous two games and is quite a b@tch to learn and play, but it's also a blast. ONly problem? YOu can't freaking name your own toons >_< This old-school UFO game is looking good though, I'm gonna try it out for sure
  22. heh GI Joe Sigma 6 figures 10-15 bucks a pop (if you pay retail) and they are pretty fun
  23. Honestly I started to feel the same way about Yamato's Products once I started collecting completely different toys from other companies and was absolutely astounded at how cheap they were. Like literally, for the price of what some local retailers are charging for 1 yammie (150 bucks), you can get half a collection regular toys
  24. Call me anal but I was hoping they'd have lil pilots
