So the 1/60 scale is the one to go since Arcadia and Bandai produce their perfect transformation Valkyrie toys in this scale (technical Bandais DX Chogokins are no scale but they are roughly in the same scale as the ones form Arcadia) So far Arcadia released four Valkyries. The VF-1J with a special 30th anniversary paint job, VF-1S from DYRL in the Hikaru and Fokker variants. They are basically the Yamato VF-1 2.0 and come with a stand and the option parts. The next one was the YF-19. This one is based on the old Yamato VF-19 form Macross 7. It features a high-speed mode, the missile leg bays, is gullet free and comes with tons of missiles and the Super Parts. On the release schedule for Arcadia will be the VF-19 Kai with Soundbooster and gold trim ins September, the VF-1 GBP bundle from SDF:M in January 2015 and the VF-0D. Teased releases where the Max and Miria VF-1J from SDF:M and a VT-1 Super Ostrich. From my understanding Arcadia should have all the molds from the VF-1 2.0 onwards and the licenses for SDF:M, DYRL Zero and M7. Bandai is releasing all the Frontier Valkyries but they are sometimes hard to get because of an artificial shortage from Bandai. There are two versions. The V1 from a couple of years ago and the Renewals which are being currently released and reissued. Personally I wouldn't touch the V1 with a six foot pole. Bandai also did a perfect transformation Koenig Monster (roughly 1/100 scale) from Frontier that should be getting reissued but I haven't heard anything in the last months. Currently available is the YF-25 prototype and the VF-25F. Preorders are open for the RVF-171 and the VF-25S reissue. Bandai released allt the Valkyries types from Frontier (VF-25, VF-27, YF-29, VF-171EX, YF-30). The YF-30 from the Macross 30 video game was released last week. For almost every Valkyrie Bandai released the add-on sets. They where all Tamashii Web Shop exclusives so they are pretty pricey on the secondary market. If you would like more infos about the released products check out jenius' excellent review site: http://www.anymoon.com/blog/ There is also a thread that lists all the video releases done for Valkyries. Check it out if you have some time: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=40918 In general the releases are hard to get after they where released the Bandai produces are even hard to preorder where the Arcadia are easy to preorder. The days of 90% discounts on Yamato products are over with the exception beeing the VF-1J 30th Anniversay. As far as shops go here is a list where you can find some of the products. The Hong Kong based stores are good if you want to find some of the old Yamato M7 releases as well as the new releases from Arcadia. There are several Japanese stores where you can get releases that are sold out for a mark-up (but they also sell for regular prices if you can get a preorder in), there are the regular stores and secondary market stores: Regular stores: http://www.amiami.com http://www.hlj.com http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/mecha/ http://www.cdjapan.co.jp Hong Kong based stores: http://www.angolz.com/store/ http://www.hkcollectibles.com Stores that sell sold out items with a mark-up: http://www.nippon-yasan.com/lang-en/ http://plamoya.com/ http://www.anime-export.com And the secondary market stores: http://jungle-scs.co.jp/sale_en/ http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/ I'm sure there are many more but those are the ones I frequent. Of course there is always ebay and Yahoo Auctions Japan or Amazon Japan. For the last two you need a proxy buyer if you want to get toys from there. And there is the for sale thread on the forum but I'm sure you know about that. Hope that helps and welcome back.

If the first wave is a success and you're gonna offer international shipping I would be on board for the stands.

Yeah Takara make all of these as Masterpiece toys. Especially Tracks. I hope the brain robot is remove- and transformable. I don't know why they are aways hiding it inside the cockpit.- 17164 replies

Eh..... probably not. If ehobby will announce a black Star Saber before this is out I won't buy the original. However I'm pretty sure that's not gonna happen so I probably get both.- 17164 replies

If you like the design I would try this one. http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=MMC10007&mode=retail It is the best transforming robot from a independent toy maker I have in my collection. Their Predaking homage is also very good if you dig the style.- 9275 replies

Why are they doing this to me. The (probably) last new mold for Frontier and it has a different finish than all the other products for that line? Sometimes I hate my ocd. So does this mean Bandai will release a ReRenewal version of the Messiahs all in matte finish? Awesome than I have to rebuy all of them just to see that the V2 YF-30 will have a glossy finish. "§$"!§$&"§$!°"&%"§$ Bandai Oh well it will go on the pile of toys that don't fit in a collection. Together with the VF-19S. Best toy I have in my collection but is utterly out of place with the other M7 Valkyries I have (and all the other Yamcadia stuff I have). !"§!%$&"§$"§$ Yamcadia.

I hope Bandai does the Skywarp repaint of this one. And we (by which I mean I) desperate need some additional weapon bays for this one. A transforming BFG would be awesome. And conformable missile pods for the forearms.

I can't wait for the day when I'm able to afford a boxed G1 Shockwave and rip it out of his prison. But I will lube the hose so it stays shiny and flexible. For me personally I like to fiddle with my toys and they look better unboxed in cabinets that in those terrible Yamato/Arcadia boxes. Sadly sometimes I break some of the toys while playing with them. Casualties so far. MP-08B knee joints, broken VF-25F metal hip bar VF-25A broke gun pod hinge and Alternity Skywarps shoulder (what a weak design Takara). So I can partly understand why collectors decide to keep them boxed and protected by clear acrylic boxes.

I think the general consensus about Citizen Stack is that it is a good Classics version of Ultra Magnus with an ugly head (but there is an additional head you can swap in from a different independent toy maker). Citizen Stack does not fit in well with the Masterpiece line because his design aesthetics don't fit to the G1 look. Also the size is off if you are a believer in the holy scale chart. Here are some quick videos for the toy and the additional head:- 9275 replies

Thanks. In the image with the box content it looked like he has only two sets of extra hands and the flat ones installed. I think you can use the articulated hands if you fully stretch out the fingers. Thats what I did to fit the articulated hands on the Super VF-27.

If you like your toys point and cause maximum carnage. I really like it. Seems to be an improvement over Citizen Stack. Granted I don't know how the head of Captain Shark is supposed to look but on the toy it looks great.- 9275 replies

So it doesn't has articulated fists? What a bummer!! Oh well, more parts that I need to gather from broken Valkyries. I think the VF-25F hands will go well with the YF-30.

The red color probably indicates that the VF-1J Milia Custom will be next with Super Parts.

From the Masterpieces I have so far I like MP-10 best. MP-01 is ok but the heavy die-cast feet are killing the play value for me. I would go with MP-10 because he is better in every aspect (minus the double jointed knees). From the other Masterpieces I think the Prowl and Soundwave molds are also very good. Soundwave would be better than Convoy if it wasn't for the terrible waist joints. Also MP Condor is probably the best accessory ever.- 17164 replies

I thought you were talking about the Bishoujo Poison statue teased by Kotobukiya. http://news.toyark.com/2014/08/04/kotobukiya-teases-poison-bishoujo-statue-134691

Besides bundles I thing the only way we get a reissue would be if Bandai releases them in color variations. Like the light blue Super Parts Bandai releases for the V1 Messiahs.
-
And I thought you would be all over this toy.

Well technically Lamborghiniis part of Audi which itself is part of the VW group. Bugatti on the other hand is owned by VW. VW more than meets the eye..... Yay Transformers. Can't wait for the new Masterpiece releases this year. Especially Ultra Magnus. [edit:] Failed to realize that this is the AoE thread. So I have to say that I haven't seen any of the Dinobots besides of Strafe. Even the TRU doesn't seem to have them. Bummer.- 950 replies
