  1. Just go with whatever looks good for you. Personally I'd pick white for Millia and yellow leg markings for Max. Besides, I'm not sure there's a official color for their markings, I've seen different colors for them on many pics. BTW, do yourself a favor and snag a set of takatoy's stickers, they really make a difference.
  2. Yup, I do remember them tilting to some degree, and at times it seemed like those missiles were drawn by hand. From HLJ's pic, it looks like a real nice piece. And seeing how its gonna cost around $80, there's now way I can turn this down. It was a surprise the first time I heard what a real Bell 222 sounds like. Real loud, almost like a Huey. No cool howling noise, just a low thudding noise.
  3. They shouldn't be brown, that's for sure I still don't know if Minmay's eyes are blue or green. But then again, "Chinese girls don't come with green eyes."
  4. Teardrop? Nah, the decal was still a little moist when the pic was taken. And the eyes are really brown, BTW. If HLJ stocks up on green eye decals again, I'll snag a set and do another job on Minmay. It's pretty cool how Wave tries to mimic many different artists' eyes. There's a pair that looks very Shirow-esque, and even a pair that looks exactly like Yurika's from Nadesico. I figured applying that set would make Minmay look way too perky.
  5. I'm pretty sure I got the eye color wrong, but I'm really pleased with the way the decals look. Now I gotta track down a Misa figure and see what it'll look like with these new sets of brown eyes. Last one:
  6. Now Wave makes some killer looking anime eye decals, and I decided to give them a shot. After scraping and cleaning off my work, I slid on a pair of Wave’s eyes:
  7. Hello all. I wanted to show off the results of a quick alteration to ARII’s 1/6 Minmay figure. The eyes that ARII chose were real bad, so bad that sometime last year, I tried to repaint them. While I was satisfied with the results, it could’ve been better:
  8. All we need now is a Street Hawk toy to complete the holy trinity of 80's supervehicle cheeziness I'm not sure if Aoshima is going to put in retractable missile pods and guns, but at 1/48 scale I'd think they'd be able to. My guess is that there are going to be switchable parts to replicate the weapons being stowed away.
  9. Patlabor has always been one of my faves. And the MG Griffon is sweet. It looks great even without any paint. I just wish Bandai went all out to make Zero or even Peacemaker labors in the same scale.
  10. Garlands, BGC figs, and a kickass Bell 222-when will the madness end?! Who else is going get this bad boy? 1/48 Airwolf
  11. In short. No sensor pod. No pylons on the CFTs. *** *** Biggest difference between a F-15D and a E(strike) was the pylons to carry all the exploding bits. If they had fitted the pylons correctly and put some bombs with the box it would have been one of the greatest die-casts ever released. But too bad. I see. Damn, and I thought just buying those extra bomb packs would fix everything. But drop tanks would've been awesome. BTW Dobber, I think Dragon is working on an F-14, but they're just taking their sweet time with it.
  12. David, what did Dragon do wrong with the Strike Eagle? Anything major?
  13. The paint scheme on the F-22 looks kinda off, the grey colors contrast too heavily, but maybe its just the camera. And yes, the Su-35 is a gem despite some flaws. My only big gripe with Gaincorp is the static landing gear, it can't be displayed with the gear up. Their JSDF F-15 isn't too bad either, but I like Dragon's Strike Eagle even more.
  14. I pretend the dubbed audio track doesn't exist in my set. Konya Wa Hurricane in English is awful. The whole dubbed version is awful. In any case, the series does get better with the later episodes, and the mecha designs are still some of my favorites. Different strokes for different folks...
  15. BGC and Megazone 23 toys...dayum. The folks at Yamato really know how drain an old skool anime fan's wallet. Thanks for the news, Noel! I'm glad that the YF-19 is still in the works.
  16. These are out already? HLJ has sent me a shipping notice for Millia, but nothing on the Minmay. Flashback Minmay looks nice!
  17. I was actually trying to take this guy seriously until he decided to speak for the whole of Asia. His PMs to me just show he's not willing to listen and thinks he's some enlightened man of the world. Like JS, I thought this dude just needed some English and Reading classes, but no-this dude is a bonafide ass.
  18. "...I invite you to goto the far east and say the things you say here and think of yourself American first, I would like to see what happens..." -VD I tried that. I got lot more pussy than I thought I would. Man, first this guy insults Americans, then insults Asians by classifying himself as one. This dude's just asking for trouble.
  19. Yeah, $75 is too high a price for a PVC fig. $75 would net a better quality cold-cast resin statue. It's an awfully nice scuplt of Noriko though.
  20. I look forward to the day when my head is thawed from the cyrogenic freezer so I could gaze upon the Yamato VF-2SS that I always wanted.
  21. It looks like somebody went crazy with duct tape on that Hornet.
