  1. I can't wait till mine get here. Boomers...I"ll be needing a lot of Boomers.
  2. Pilots for the first 1/48s were made with rigid, glossy plastic. I'm not sure about all the re-releases, but later 1/48s have "gummy" pilots that are all squishy, yet firm.
  3. Agreed! And as long as you're polite about it, what've ya got to lose? ooooo! yes please. It wont hurt and given the early stage it's in right now and the fact that it's such a easy problem to fix, definitely! 314182[/snapback]
  4. MCC, was it mentioned from what magazine that pic came from?
  5. It looks leagues better than the 1/100 scale train wreck. Good to know Yamato hasn't given up on Mac Zero yet.
  6. The valk was doomed from the start; its number of 013 adds up to four-the number of death! Awesome piece as usual Kurt!
  7. "Alas poor Peacemaker, I knew him well." (no photo reference, just pure 10 min. abuse!)
  8. Thanks, Mr. March, and for the record, that was all MS paint, no photoshop. It just got a little fuzzy when it got converted to a a jpeg. As for using pre-existing pics, well, I thought it WAS a great moment in anime. BTW, the Berserk pic rocks!
  9. I'm definitely getting one of these! I never did get my hands on the old Halcyon kit, and don't have time for kits anymore anyways. And I'm hoping some in-scale space-marine figures will go on sale when this hits the shops.
  10. Because Patlabor isn't Gundam. Unless there's some new Patlabor show in the works, don't expect any kits from Bandai anytime soon. I'm still waiting for the day Bandai gives Patlabor the Perfect Grade treatment. How about military green with a dark grey trim?
  11. Woo-hoo finally some big news on the Toys section-thanks for the heads-up G! I guess its time to get another 1/48 VF-1J...
  12. Of the three ZOE games, ZOE: Fist of Mars was a strategy based RPG for the Gameboy Advance. One of the few games that made me want to buy a GBA.
  13. I also dig the Area 88 emblem-I've always wanted to put it on a valk:
  14. Yup, Front Mission 4 is tops in my book. While the plot may be a lot more simplistic than FM3's, the mecha designs and overall gameplay is excellent. For a much faster paced game, try out the previously mentioned ZOE games and Gungriffon Blaze. GB plays more like an FPS and plays a lot faster than any of the Armored Core games (should be fairly easy to find and cheap too). There's also Virtual-On Marz, but its just not that good compared to the previous games.
  15. My pick's a toss up between Patlabor's AV-98 Ingram and the Griffon. Great looking melons on these mechs.
  16. Blue Thunder was a great movie. The TV series blew chunks though. And with Aoshima going to the 80's for material, it wouldn't surprise me if they did make a Blue Thunder toy. Aoshima's Airwolf makes me glad I don't have to hunt this thing down anymore: Old Airwolf toy Nice avatar there, Stormrider!
  17. My friend would just go bonkers over your collection there, DH. He's really into Gemini Jets, and I'm still trying to help him find some special 747 in Virgin's colors.
  18. I still keep coming back to arcade games like Samurai Showdown 4, Capcom's Aliens vs Predator, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, and DoDonPachi. At home, just let me sit with my Dreamcast, a pair of Twinsticks, and I could play Virtual On all day. But I think I'll still be playing Pac Man when I'm old and gray.
  19. Nah, I have little time as it is to catch up with MW. I got the same Armour F-14. With something that big you think Armour would at least have built some swing wings. But it sure makes for one gorgeous paperweight.
  20. I'm not much of a Gundam fan, but the flexibility of that PG Strike looks sweet!
  21. <raises hand> There are plenty more out here. On the top of my wish list right now is a Dragon A-10.
