Since bandai went with an initial HMR release, I would think a 0S DX is unlikely. Something abt avoiding the 1/100 and 1/60 scales cannibalising each other. If there is, i would think it would be way way in the future...maybe 15/20yrs(?) before they start looking at a 1/60 0A?

Now thats an idea! Then he can use the sword to fight the drakens! Like in a final scene where the draken pinned the 31 down in close combat, and abt to stab! The 31 reaches up behind and pulls out the sword to block! What a missed opportunity kawamori-san!

Watching this on a CRT TV with my schoolmates, lol'ing when she steps on the missiles. Am a teen again.🤧🤧 All the DYRL references in there, hangar/space/itano missile/cockpit monitor scenes and the planes that looked like VF-4 valks esp from the bottom. I did feel a tinge of sadness watching this, somehow knowing the end of SDFM/Macross at that time. My first anime was the world of the talisman/birth OVA, which i loved for the frantic action/animation touches. A-KO made that a full circle for me too, with all the crazy fight/POV animations. Not forgetting them fat big mecha robots too! These A-KO songs plus a few others e.g. victory from BGC were my pick me up tunes haha...thanks for the memories again! -
Yeah, bandai doesn't seem to give much credo to the GP-0 designs. Maybe too extreme in contrast with the other gundams? Its a pity to waste such curves and proportions. Kinda dont see the point of paying expensive $$'s for lovely metal bits in the inner frame, but mainly hidden by outer armor. Not a new viewpoint am sure, but this is certainly pushing it for the MGEX strike freedom price range. Unicorn at least had the lighting system that's unique enough to justify the price.

Extreme price as well? Might bite if there was a MGEX Nu or GP0something. Or even an extreme case of MGEX Kampfer...

Not underwhelming to me. I love the chronos (waist swivel/missile pods/looks damm cool!), 31 (articulation master!) and draken (single thruster valk! with a sword and shield no less!). But yes i also love the frontier valks just as much. Esp armored 25 (which i might say is the best armored valk iteration ever....if there was such a thing..)

I get it’s just a prototype, but I have a feeling the laser would definitely need to be shortened somewhat. With the booster attached, there needs to be sufficient clearance for the head to pop out and turn forward, when transforming to battroid mode.

Now is just to see how they will correct it. Reducing the length of the laser or raising the booster...or both!

Hole in the booster/length of laser aside, i don't thk its feasible to fire the laser unit during dogfights, when the booster is attached? The head laser doesnt rotate?

Ooof i wonder if that hole would bother OCD folks...😂 In battroid its exposed... Those booster struts ought to be longer + laser should be shorter... which now makes me notice since you pointed it out.......why is the head laser so long??? overcompensating??

Hmm lineart magic? It does seem a bit weird that the booster has a hole to accommodate the head laser. But i suppose arcadia has no choice to design it that way?

Wondered what really happened to arcadia not coming up with the ghost packs, ever since they released the 0a. Seems like an indecision to bundle it or not, and then they forgot abt it.

Don’t have the AX valk, but could it be that the grip is the back of the ‘U’? Ie. It doesn’t have a conventional gun trigger and the front part is merely a hinge, not a trigger?

Nice. Was listening to some vinyl macross recordings on youtube (i know its not the same thing). Might hunt some vinyl's down, should i go into that space.
