That looks ok to me, as in the context of other painted/tampoed toy/models out there. Probably the matt finish is just making it look a bit more....dirty? Or a matt finish doesnt 'protect/hide' blemishes as much as a glossy finish does.

Hmm maybe a prototype they couldnt gave the vertical fin flopping around, and so sandwiched in the forearm? Unless of course its some way to hide the vertical fin hinge. But it seems awkwardly too near the hand too, so i would probably put that as a prototype stick together.

Macross dialect/colloquial/accent is what makes the macross world go round... Ma-Ma... Just bought a valk......took out the card and couldn't wait, pressed F5 and now is paid... Yup, its as if we could travel to the future to see how easy/hard it is. The whole arm folding on to itself is a sight to behold..(although am not sure if thats how its actually supposed to turn out?) A different type of transformation always brings an added dimension to so-called valk magic!

Were there improvements? 😅In my mind there weren't any significant changes.... Tightening/loosening of a joints i normally attribute to factory tolerences.. Yeah thats a bundle which is more $expensive$, so a solo re-issue with old valk pricing would be out of the question. My point would be, its more or less ok to get the first release of a bandai valk. The initial macross frontier and 171 CF valks were outliers in terms of show stopper issues. I would save my hesitations for arcadia instead.

Bandai 'rarely' re-issue valks to fix problems. They are in the business of fire and forget. if i recall, the only time another version was improved were the macross frontier renewal valks.

Get her to knit the zentradi jacket for your vf-1 max valk. Or ask her to teach you to knit it. Do things together. 🥰🤪 Seems there is quite a number of relationship advice in this forum lately. Probably its just me. 😄

Am ok with bundled super parts. But I would prefer if armor parts stayed separate. I would like to have a choice to armor up a valk or not at all.
